StampinByHannah Little Twinkle Watercolour Anniversary Card
Last week I celebrated my 3rd Wedding Anniversary. I am a little shocked that it’s been 3 years already… but then when I think of all the things we’ve done since we got married, our wedding feels like forever ago! I will share the card I received over on my Facebook Page… James always sneaks into my crafty stash to make me a card (and this year he had fun with Embossing!)
Of course I HAD to make James a fun anniversary card! I had SO much fun making THIS card for Make It Monday last week, and so really wanted to re-create the idea for this card. The colours I’ve used are Night of Navy, Gray Granite, Coastal Cabana, and Berry Burst. I had intended to add some white ink splatter too…. not sure what happened!
I do have to admit that this card also uses a scrap! Yes!… an actual scrap. That circle of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper is the of cut from THIS card. Nothing wasted!
The sentiment is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink onto one of the Stitched Labels from the Blended Seasons Bundle cut from Vellum. So pretty!
If you’ve enjoyed this project, check out my August Suite Share which features the fabulous Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday How to create a fun watercolour background for your cards
A few weeks ago I was playing around with the Little Twinkle Stamp set (read: should have been making samples for my Twinkle Twinkle Suite Share!) and shared a picture of what I was working on over on Instagram. One of my lovely followers asked how I created the watercolour background… so, here is the tutorial!
I’m a little bit in love with this colour combination; Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana and Gray Granite. So pretty, and a great way to make a pretty yet masculine card…. although I think if I was to make this again I might hit it with a bit of Wink of Stella for some sparkle too!
There isn’t really any trick to creating this type of background, other than patience! There are two layers of watercolour on this card, plus some over stamping. You can see all the details in the video tutorial…
Stampin’ Up! inks are water-based, which allows you to use the same inks that you stamp with to create fun watercolour backgrounds like this one! To use your inks for watercolour, just squeeze the ink pad before you open it to put in onto the “lid”… this is a little tricky on the new style ink pads, and so you might choose to use a drop of a re-inker onto a clear block instead.
Video Tutorial…
Once the first layer of watercolour is laid down, leave it! Let it dry naturally for less warping, or hit it with your heat tool for speed. The second layer is where you create those fabulous harsh lines and blend the colours. Then, once its all dry, you can add some stamping! Here I’ve added stamping using the Stampin’ Up! Craft White Ink… this ink is a pigment rather than being water-based like the rest of the Stampin’ Up! inks. This allows you to get a really crisp white image, but it does take a little longer to dry.
The sentiment is stamped last, although the Blueberry Bushel in has been resisted by the White Pigment for a further fun watercolour effect.

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Watercolour Accented Blooms
One of the major perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the treatment you get from Stampin’ Up! They LOVE to treat their demonstrators…. whether that is through early releases and pre-orders, events, or they Demonstrator Exclusive Magazine; Stampin’ Success. The latest issue landed on my doorstep last week, and the card on the front really jumped out at me… and I just HAD to share it with you to!
The Accented Bloom set set is so pretty… particularly when heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Check out the video to see how I created the watercolour effect…
Measurements:
Lovely Lipstick; 21 x 10.5 cm, scored at 10.5 cm

StampinByHannah Pootlers Team Blog Hop Welcome to the new Annual Catalogue!
Oh dear… so this morning was a bit of a disaster! My blog post didn’t go live quite when it should… and then I managed to delete everything I had written! Oh the joys of trying to sort out a blog hop on your phone! I really should know better, particularly as I set the date…. but I obviously wasn’t paying attention when I planned the team blog hop for the morning after going to see Ed Sheeran at St James’ Park in Newcastle (he was AWESOME by the way!)
So, here is the second version of this blog post…. I hope you enjoy!
When taking part in team blog hops, I like to try and make a project fit for them… and I think this card fits the bill! It uses the lovely new Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set; Hand Delivered, which although looks tricky to stamp (because the girl’s legs and body are actually two separate pieces) but it lines up really easily, even when stamped in Clear Versamark ink, and heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder
I’ve used a heap of new colours on this card… you can find the full list at the very bottom of this post… and one of my favourite techniques ever; watercolour. The card stock is Thick Whisper White, so you have to work quickly, but you can still get some lovely watercolour effects.
I would LOVE for you to check out the other ladies who have taken part in the Pootlers team blog hop today… click through them all using the list below, and I hope to see you again soon

StampinByHannah Welcome Little One… Baby Card using Stampin’ Up! products
I have now reached that age where all my friends have got married, and have moved onto having babies! I am seeing heaps of New Baby cards in my future… now, I made this card about 6 weeks ago, before the Stampin’ Up! Retiring List was released. I was really hopeful that this set would be carried over, but alas! no! It’s leaving us on the 31st May, and actually is While Stocks Last. However, I couldn’t not share this card with you… so here we go!
This card uses the Little One stamp set. It’s so cute… I mean that little teddy in the TeePee… oh dear, I’m getting broody now! This whole card uses Blushing Bride… which is also retiring. The background is a watercolour wash with Blushing Bride ink, and then I used some of the small stamps from the set to stamp over the top.
The Teepee is stamped in Basic Grey, and then fussy cut…. although I think I would be tempted to stamp this first and mask it before doing the watercolour if I was going to make this card again.
I found this adorable cardigan to match the card (yes, it really happened that way around!) and popped them both in the post for baby. I know that they have now arrived and that this post is safe to share… do grab the cute Little One stamp set before it disappears, and I’ll see you again next time!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Watercolour Stamping with the Stamparatus
I have been playing with the Stamparatus for a good couple of months now…. and I used it for just about every one of my OnStage Display Board samples, and it’s a pretty constant feature on my desk. I absolutely LOVE it, and I am SO excited that the full launch happens on the 1st June with the Annual catalogue, and you guys can get your hands on one.
This pretty card uses the Beautiful Day stamp set. I seriously can’t get enough of this set, it’s just makes such pretty and simple cards. I have a fun technique to share with you too… check the video to see how I stamped the flower!
The sentiment on this card is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Vellum. Because ink can take a while to dry on Vellum I will often add a layer of Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder to seal in the colour.
I haven’t done any watercolour techniques for ages… I forget how much I enjoy messing around with ink and water sometimes!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday | Share What You Love!
This week is a special one! We are fast approaching the launch of the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Annual Catalogue, and to celebrate Stampin’ Up! are releasing 4 fabulous product bundles… more on what is in the bundles tomorrow (when they launch) but today I thought I would re-work one of the projects I made for Stampin’ Up! OnStage…. using the new Love What You Do Stamp Set and Share What You Love Designer Series Paper.
I had loads of fun making this card… which features one of my favourite techniques; watercolour wash backgrounds!
The Love What You Do stamp set features some lovely sentiments with 2 great fonts. I am such a font girl… and this one really sings to me! I was SO lucky to get to work with this stamp set for the Display Boards at Stampin’ Up! OnStage in early April… this was my inspiration for today’s card…
I’m sure you can see how I’ve got from one to another…
The Love What You Do Stamp set is available from tomorrow as part of the fabulous Share What You Do Early Release Bundles… check back tomorrow for all the details!

StampinByHannah Global Design Project 131 Happy Easter with Hedgehugs from Stampin’ Up!
Oh my! It has been a good while since I took part in a Global Design Project challenge, but I’m on holiday from my day job this week and therefore managed to craft yesterday… and so made this fun Easter Card to celebrate!
I have been having heaps of fun with the Hedgehugs stamp set this month, and have already shared a trio of fun cards on my Monthly Facebook Live video. The Easter challenge was a little tricky, because I haven’t got a single Easter themed stamp set this year, so I turned to these cute critters and the Labeler Alphabet for this one.
The background features a fun watercolour wash of Pear Pizzazz onto a piece of Shimmery White card stock. This is such a fun way to add a little extra something to a card, I am sure that it would have looked lovely in plain white, but you guys know I can’t resist an opportunity to watercolour!

StampinByHannah How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin’ Up!
Today’s video features one of the those techniques that I use so often that I forget to mention it! I know… I’m so bad! But, it’s super pretty and really easy. I actually used this one on my husbands Valentines card this year.
Faux watercolour is super easy to do… all you need is a fairly solid stamp, Stampin’ Up! ink and an Aqua-Painter. It creates a really pretty, soft effect, and is a great way to add that extra something to a card. I do of course have a couple of Top Tips:
Use Thick Whisper White card stock, Shimmery White card stock, or Watercolour paper
Ensure your ink pads are well inked and nice and juice-y
Use an Aqua-Painter that has plenty of water in it, but don’t squeeze… the water will naturally come out of the Aqua-painter as you use it, but if you squeeze you might flood your card stock and spread the ink too far
The sentiment on this card is taken from the Beautiful You stamp set, and is punched out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch and matted onto the Pretty Label punched from Island Indigo.
