Hello! If you are joining me as part of the Pootles Birthday Blog Hop… welcome… if not…. welcome anyway! I am so pleased to see you here. Every week on a Sunday I share a card that is simple to make…. so here we go!
I have a fairly quick and easy Birthday card for you today. I have been playing with the Happy Birthday Thinlit so much recently, its a great addition to any card! Here I have die cut it 4 times… 3 times out of So Saffron and once in Dapper Denim and then layered them together for a dimensional look
How did I get that Ombre effect? Super Simple…. Before die cutting the Dapper Denim card stock for the top layer of my sentiment, I added Dapper Denim ink (tone on tone) with a Stampin’ Sponge. I love a bit of ink blending; ink up your sponge, and starting off the card stock, swirl the sponge in small-ish circles working your way up the card stock. Add more ink to the bottom than the top and you get this fab effect!
The background on this card was even more simple however… that is just strips of Washi Tape! Fun and quick and easy!
How do you use you Washi Tape?

Love your idea Hannah and a super card. xx
Love the layered greeting and the ombré effect inking. They make the die cut really pop.
Fab idea with the Washi tape ?
Love this Hannah. I did something similar last year but love how you’ve layered and coloured the die 🙂
