Global Design Project 422 | How to use Watercolour pencils to create a cute Zany Zoo Card

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another Global Design Project challenge. This week its a very simple sketch, almost just a grid.

I’ve not had a lot of crafty time recently, thanks to a lot of very long shifts at the day job, the enormous number of children’s birthday parties and of course all the things that need doing in the lead up to Christmas. However, I managed to find most of a day to potter around in my craftroom yesterday (being disturbed only by the ASDA delivery driver!) and so got to making something for this week’s GDP.

I haven’t used my Watercolour pencils for ages… and I think I probably need more practice! I haven’t added water (or Blender pen) to these, choosing to embrace the sketchy look. Both the stamps and the Designer Series Paper are from the Zany Zoo suite in this years Annual Catalogue, I love these cute critters! So great for kids birthday cards! (which reminds me I need to get making a card for my son’s birthday on Thursday!)

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop | Dry Embossing with In the Moment…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this month’s Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. Gosh its been a while since I have managed to take part in one of these… so excited to be back though! This months technique is Dry Embossing… although this card actually features both heat embossing and dry embossing.

I made this card for my sister-in-law’s birthday this week. using the In the Moment stamp set. You can see the heat embossing part of this card over on my Instagram. The background is one of the Online Exclusive embossing folders which for me is an absolute staple.

Global Design Project #415 | Patterns with Let’s Go Shopping from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Global Design Project entry. This week the theme is Pattern… and I dived straight into my pile of Designer Series Paper for this one and spotted this lovely pattern in the Let’s Go Shopping suite.

I couldn’t leave it at just one patterned though! The die cut circle is embossed using one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders. I reached for the coordinating stamp set for the sentiment and this cute pot plant… and finished the card with a trio of Iridescent basic pearls.

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop | Bright and Beautiful Sketch

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this month’s Crafty Challenge Blog Hop this month we have a fun sketch… Which I haven’t added a version of here, just because my card is basically the sketch!

I really love this colour combination (and the Bright and Beautiful Suite!); Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst and Bubble Bath. I did almost add Lemon Lolly in as well, but it just didn’t quite look right. The two panels at the top of the card are both in the pack of Designer Series Paper, while the fringe edging at the bottom is cut using a die.

Have you noticed the card base? I couldn’t make my mind up about whether the background should be Azure Afternoon, or Berry Burst… So I used both!

Global Design Project #407 | Waves of Inspiration

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for my entry to this weeks Global Design Project Theme Challenge. This week the theme is Water Creatures, and initially I had a bit of a panic at this one, as I don’t have any stamp sets at the moment with fish or other water-y animals on. However, I do have Waves of Inspiration and so used that instead.

I used a fun watercolour technique to create the waves panel on this card, check the video below for all the details.

I usually vlog on a Wednesday, but this week things have been a bit different and so I thought I would film this card instead.

Crafty Collaborations Birthday Blog Hop | Card Using It’s a Science

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today for a fun Birthday themed Blog Hop. I will admit that this post was a bit of a rush last night, so I might not be quite so chatty as usual!

I am really enjoying the It’s a Science stamp set… this card was inspired by a non-Stampin’ Up! card that I had spotted on Instagram, that used some drinks stamps to create a background and then this cute embellishment piece.

Here the background is stamped in Memento and then bubbles in Melon Mambo, Highland Heather, Wild Wheat, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party. The beakers were then coloured with the same colours using Stampin’ Blends!

Global Design Project 403 | Beautiful Balloons with Stripes…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for a fun stripy card for this weeks Global Design Project. This card was totally inspired by one of the Design Team; Krista Frattin.

This card uses the Beautiful Balloons stamp and die bundle, along with the coordinating Designer Series Paper, and I’ve used Misty Moonlight, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist for my stamping.

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop | Colour Combination with Textured Floral from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this month’s Crafty Challenge blog hop. This month Stefanie set us a colour combination, from a picture. I’ve had to make a couple of edits due to available colours.

So, Pale Papaya became Petal Pink and Pacific Point became Blueberry Bushel. Also, I don’t own a Cajun Craze ink pad (its just a colour I am all that keen on, and I only buy what I love!), so I switched it for Pecan Pie.

This is the first card I have made with the Textured Floral stamp set, and so I have used one of the cards from the catalogue as inspiration, mostly for the layout of the floral spray. The sentiment is stamped in Blueberry Bushel onto a piece of Basic White, and die cut using one of the Something Fancy dies. Before I took the die cut out of the die, I added a hint of Tahitian Tide ink with a Blending Brush.

InspireINK Blog Hop | Happy Birthday with Share a Milkshake

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this months InspireINK blog hop. This months theme is ‘Birthday’, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the team have created. To find out, you can use the links at the end of this blog post.

I am still loving the Share a Milkshake stamp set, and I just think it’s the perfect stamp set for a birthday card (other than the fact it doesn’t have a ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment!).

This card was inspired by this one that I found on Pinterest. I haven’t used Crumb Cake like this for ages, I do LOVE a Crumb Cake background. The other colours here are Pretty Peacock and Bubble Bath.
