StampinByHannah How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin’ Up!
Today’s video features one of the those techniques that I use so often that I forget to mention it! I know… I’m so bad! But, it’s super pretty and really easy. I actually used this one on my husbands Valentines card this year.
Faux watercolour is super easy to do… all you need is a fairly solid stamp, Stampin’ Up! ink and an Aqua-Painter. It creates a really pretty, soft effect, and is a great way to add that extra something to a card. I do of course have a couple of Top Tips:
- Use Thick Whisper White card stock, Shimmery White card stock, or Watercolour paper
- Ensure your ink pads are well inked and nice and juice-y
- Use an Aqua-Painter that has plenty of water in it, but don’t squeeze… the water will naturally come out of the Aqua-painter as you use it, but if you squeeze you might flood your card stock and spread the ink too far
- Have fun!
The sentiment on this card is taken from the Beautiful You stamp set, and is punched out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch and matted onto the Pretty Label punched from Island Indigo.
