Oh I am so sorry this post is a little late today! I got called into work for night shifts on Sunday and Monday night, and just did not get chance to make my Global Design Project Card yesterday… but its OK, I’ve caught up…. while I wait for the UPS man to deliver my latest goodies from Stampin’ Up! (I LOVE delivery day, don’t you?! It’s like Christmas, and I have some new goodies coming that I cannot wait to share with you!)
How fabulous are those colours?! I day dreamed about these colours at work last night, and made this card about 100 times in my head…. I was so pleased when it came out onto paper almost exactly how I dreamed it!
I have taken the three colours; Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Watermelon Wonder and used the watercolour smooshing technique to colour the flower from Birthday Blooms. This technique is so fun! Take your ink pad (or a reinker) and add ink onto a large clear block, add water and then pick up the water / ink mix with a piece of Window Sheet. I think I use a piece of packaging that came with my stamps! and then use this to apply the colour onto the card stock.
To make sure I got the colours in the right place I stamped the flower in a very pale ink (Sahara Sand stamped off once) as a guide, once I had smooshed on the other colours I stamped the flower again in black ink over the top. Now, I would normally use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure that you couldn’t see the original flower, but I can’t find the clear sheet of my stamp-a-ma-jig at the moment…. read; craft office is a disaster zone and I really need to spend this evening cleaning it!
The sentiment is from Crazy About You and the Hello You thinlits (Love these!) and I die cut the Hello 4 times and stacked them together to make this cool dimensional sentiment. The finishing touches to this card were a bit of ink splattering and a trio of black Enamel shapes (that were once Garden Green in colour, but I have coloured them with a permenant marker to make them black… I LOVE them in black!). I have no idea what I was trying to say here, I am aware that the sentiment makes no sense what so ever, I am blaming a lack of sleep for my bad stamping, I mean really…. what was I going for?! lol
So, this is my corrected version!
Thank you for checking out my blog today, and I hope you have a great day
