Global Design Project 422 | How to use Watercolour pencils to create a cute Zany Zoo Card

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another Global Design Project challenge. This week its a very simple sketch, almost just a grid.

I’ve not had a lot of crafty time recently, thanks to a lot of very long shifts at the day job, the enormous number of children’s birthday parties and of course all the things that need doing in the lead up to Christmas. However, I managed to find most of a day to potter around in my craftroom yesterday (being disturbed only by the ASDA delivery driver!) and so got to making something for this week’s GDP.

I haven’t used my Watercolour pencils for ages… and I think I probably need more practice! I haven’t added water (or Blender pen) to these, choosing to embrace the sketchy look. Both the stamps and the Designer Series Paper are from the Zany Zoo suite in this years Annual Catalogue, I love these cute critters! So great for kids birthday cards! (which reminds me I need to get making a card for my son’s birthday on Thursday!)

Global Design Project 418 | Love for You…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah and another Global Design Project idea. So, I made a card for last week.. posted it on Social Media and completely forgot to share it here! Honestly, head has been in the shed for the past couple of weeks… so many shifts at work and juggling childcare hasn’t left me with a lot of brain space for crafting, let alone blogging and sharing.

This week’s challenge is a sketch, and I have kept fairly strictly to it this time. The stripes in the background are hand drawn using a Stampin’ Blend. I’ve gone for a bit of tone on tone here with Orchid Oasis card stock and Blends.

The flowers and sentiment are from the Love For You bundle, and are stamped in Sweet Sorbet, Crushed Curry and Boho Blue.

I have a video for this card coming on Saturday. but wanted to get it uploaded here first.

Global Design Project #416 | Merry Bold and Bright…

Hello! and Welcome to StampinByHannah. I’ve been a bit quiet here on the blog, as after our recent Team event my crafty mojo sort of up-d and left. But, I checked out this week’s Global Design Project on Monday and managed to create not just this card but several others too! Love it when that happens!

I’ve been using the Merry Bold and Bright suite a fair bit recently, after using it to create an inspiration station for our recent team event. You can see how this card came together in this week’s Vlog.

Global Design Project #415 | Patterns with Let’s Go Shopping from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Global Design Project entry. This week the theme is Pattern… and I dived straight into my pile of Designer Series Paper for this one and spotted this lovely pattern in the Let’s Go Shopping suite.

I couldn’t leave it at just one patterned though! The die cut circle is embossed using one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders. I reached for the coordinating stamp set for the sentiment and this cute pot plant… and finished the card with a trio of Iridescent basic pearls.

Global Design Project #413 | Something Fancy with Abundant Beauty

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah. I was really unsure about this weeks Global Design Project colour combination… and I actually do need to admit that I have tweaked it slightly! Their combination is Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Basic Black. But Cajun Crazy is a colour that doesn’t light my fire, and so I don’t actually own anything in that colour! (I know, I’m sure I shouldn’t really be admitted that as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!) Anyway, I switched it for Copper Clay which is one of the new 2023-2025 In Colours instead

This card is a sort I don’t make too often, as it uses a stamp set, a different die set, masks, and an embossing folder. BUT the combination was too good to pass up! I am really loving the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, but I hadn’t thought of inking the Sunflowers without using a Yellow…. Here they are in Pumpkin Pie with Copper Clay for the centres.

The sentiment is taken from Something Fancy, and that fabulous tag die is from Merriest Trees

Global Design Project #412 | Crushed Curry Textured Florals….

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah…. I’m not usually this late in the week for my Global Design Project make, but this week I’ve been on night shifts at the day job and so today is the first time I’ve felt somewhere approaching human enough to get into my craft room!

This week the Project is an inspiration piece…. which I have basically used a sketch.

I loved the layering and the white on white die cuts on the original card, and so have used the same here with Textured Floral. The Design Series Paper is Inked Botanicals, and while its not designed to match with Textured Floral, it works well as a pair.

The colour combination here is Crushed Curry, with Basic White, Basic Black and Lost Lagoon. I finished the card, and thought it looked a bit too white, and so added some ink splatter in Lost Lagoon with a Stampin’ Write Marker.

Global Design Project 410 | Gift of Giving

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Global Design Project entry! This week its a Sketch Challenge, and rather that using the boxes as suggested, if switched it for some repeat stamping with Gift of Giving instead.

I’m not totally sure I’m sold on this colour combination; Granny Apple Green, Parakeet Party and Poppy Parade… its a bit too Christmas-y for me! However, I do LOVE the repeat stamping on this one.

Global Design Project #408 | Case the Designer with Love for you from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah… I’ve been playing along with the Global Design Project again. Actually this week, I’ve used it as a bit of jumping off point, with the Summer holidays here things are a bit busy, and I haven’t made it into my craft room for over a week! So, when I got some time this afternoon, I didn’t really know what to create… I love a challenge for this, and this week’s card inspiration is so stunning I had to have a go too.

I’ve used the Love For You stamp set and coordinating dies for this card, and a fun colour combination of Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon and Blueberry Bushel (and a bit of black!)

Global Design Project #407 | Waves of Inspiration

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for my entry to this weeks Global Design Project Theme Challenge. This week the theme is Water Creatures, and initially I had a bit of a panic at this one, as I don’t have any stamp sets at the moment with fish or other water-y animals on. However, I do have Waves of Inspiration and so used that instead.

I used a fun watercolour technique to create the waves panel on this card, check the video below for all the details.

I usually vlog on a Wednesday, but this week things have been a bit different and so I thought I would film this card instead.

Global Design Project #405 | Trucking Along with Ray of Light

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Global Design Project… Which this week is a fab colour combination of Boho Blue, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat.

I just cannot put this cute little truck away at the moment, its so much fun! Here I’ve paired Trucking Along with the Ray of Light background stamp… and kept things super simple!

I am really enjoying that this truck has a matching punch rather than dies… it just makes creating with it so easy. I have used one die on this card though (because otherwise my Cut and Emboss Machine would have felt left out!) and used the Stylish Shapes to die cut that fabulous Ray of Light!
