Make it Monday Video Tutorial featuring Flower Patch from Stampin' Up! UK

Wow, what a weekend! I’ve been in Telford all weekend for Stampin’ Up! On Stage Local – one of the many great things about being a part of Stampin’ Up! is being able to attend the Awesome live events every 6 months, and this past weekend we were treated to a sneaky peak into the next catalogue! oooh, you’re going to LOVE it! Now, as well as seeing the new catalogue, stamping and a LOT of chatting, one of the things we did was swap! This is were everyone makes something, and we swap projects – and there is NEVER a Stampin’ Up! event without swapping! we LOVE it!

How cute are those! Now, I have to admit that my swaps didn’t quite look like this, but I can’t show you those yet because they featured brand new products! Yes, I got an even sneakier peak at new goodies, I was chosen as a Display Board stamper! I found out back in July that I had been chosen to make a heap of samples for the event, and I have had to keep it a secret (which has totally killed me!) but I will show you what I made soon, I promise!

Measurements:

Because of the chocolate I used the measurements are a little funny

Designer Series Paper: 11.3 x 11.3 cm

Punch and Score using the Envelope Punch Board at 5.7 cm (which is also 2 1/4″)

These ones use the Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating Flower Fayre dies, the ones I swapped were just as cute!

Hello! Wow, hasn’t Monday come around awfully quickly! I am off on Annual Leave this week (read, more time for Stamping!) as I am attending Stampin’ Up! On Stage Local on Saturday – I am so excited!!! I’m actually heading down to Telford on Thursday for a night away with James before meeting up with some Stampin’ friends on Friday.]

I am starting to get ready for my November Stamp a Stack event – This time we are making a stack of Christmas cards, and I have to admit that we may well be making a version of this card then too! But I love it.

Hello! Welcome to a brand new week of projects and inspiration here at StampinByHannah! I am loving filming these Make It Monday videos, actually I’m just loving filming at the moment, and have a whole heap of videos planned for you in the coming weeks (there are at least 3 this week alone!), so sit back and enjoy….. I’m just loving this cute shaker card, how adorable are those fireflies?! This card would be fab for birthdays or a congratulations card for one of your girlfriends (I’m thinking, new job, new grand-child, or even a just because!)

Shaker Cards are so much fun! I’m loving adding small die cuts, as well as sequins, glitter, mica flakes, beads and other fun elements. I have to say though my absolute Top Tip with shaker cards is to run your Embossing Buddy around your shaker frame before you remove the adhesive backing – check the video to see why!

Make It Monday | Pretty Floral Birthday Card

Make It Monday Faux Suede Technique using Garden In Bloom from Stampin' Up! UK

Hello! Welcome to Monday at StampinByHannah!

I shared this card on Wednesday last week, but just HAD to make a video tutorial, to go along with it.

So, the flower centres on these cards use the Faux Suede technique. I’m loving adding the extra dimension and texture this technique creates onto my cards. It is super simple too – take your punched / die cut shapes and bend and fiddle with it until the layers of the card start to separate, then just pull the layers apart. The reason it’s called Faux Suede is that the fibres in the card look kinda fuzzy when pulled out, and it looks like Suede! How cool!

Make It Monday | Note Card Box

Note Card gift Set using Fresh Fruit from Stampin' Up! UK

I spent the a weekend with a few of my Stampin’ Sisters, crafting a few weeks ago, and one of the projects we made was a fabulous note card and tag box – which I will admit I still haven’t finished! But it did inspire me to make something a little simpler this week.

The original box, in Mint Macaron, uses the Christmas Pines stamp set and coordinating Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper, while the video version is in Fruit Stand with the Fresh Fruit Stamp set.

Box Measurements:

Box Base – 9 1/2 x 4″, score on the long side at 1, 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 9″ and the short side at 1″

Box Lid – 9 3/4 x 3″, score on the long side at 1 1/8, 4 5/8, 5 11/16, 9 1/4″, and the short side at 1″

Designer Series Paper – 1 piece 3/4 x 3 1/4″, 2 pieces 3/4 x 1 3/4″, and 2 pieces 1 3/4 x 3 1/4″

The note cards in this set at 3 x 4″ cards, created by cutting card stock to 4 x 6″ and scoring at 3″. The Designer Series Paper is cut to 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. Have I mentioned about the Designer Series Paper yet? No! For the month of October if you buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper, you can choose another pack for FREE! isn’t that awesome?!

The final part of this project is the envelopes. I make no secret of the fact that I adore the Envelope Punch Board, and I couldn’t make a project with Designer Series Paper without making my own custom envelopes! The punch board lists all the measurements you need for heaps of different card sizes, and so just by looking at the board I found that for 3 x 4″ note cards, you need a piece of 6 x 6″ Designer Series Paper – that means that you get 4 of these envelopes from a sheet of 12 x 12! Handy! The board then instructs you to punch and score at 2 5/8″ to create the envelope.

Make It Monday | Ombre 2-Step Stamping

Hello! Welcome to Make It Monday! I am loving making these Monday videos for you all, and I am hoping that you enjoy them too. I had so much fun making the card, I can’t stop looking at it! I actually filmed this one a few weeks ago, and had sort of forgotten about it, but when I found it again on my desk this morning … I’ve fallen in love with it! I might have to get my Wink of Stella out though, because I think it might need an extra bit of sparkle… what do you think?

As usual all the details are in the video. But I just want to mention about this fabulous Stamp and die bundle! I love the cupcake, and it’s great for birthdays, but there are some great everyday sentiments in here too; and those dies … I cannot get enough of those! Oh, and you know that when you buy the stamps and dies together you save 10%! There are heaps of bundles in both the Annual and Autumn / Winter catalogues (I did count them, but I now cant remember how many!) But there is a whole section of the store where you can find them all! HERE!

The Ombre pads come in a few colours now; we have Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy and even a Basic Black one! They are great for solid images and stamp just and beautifully as our regular Stampin’ Pads, but they have the advantage of being able to get those different tones of the same colour without having to stamp off and make a mess! Saying that, I make a mess anyway….I’m sure my Stampin’ sisters will agree with me that I am really good at making a mess when I craft!

I’m loving that colour combination too; Rich Razzleberry and Tip Top Taupe, very pretty. But then again, Rich Razzleberry is purple, and I am such a sucker for anything remotely purple! I had a friend once who would buy me presents just because they were purple… I ended up with some very strange gifts!

Make It Monday | Tag Topper Chocolate Pockets

Hello! Wow, where did last week go?! Oh, well, it’s Monday again – time for Make It Monday!

I spent the weekend with a group of awesome women; crafting, eating and having heaps of fun! I have rambled for hours about how much I LOVE Stampin’ Up! and this weekend was a prime example of why I love it. This weekend wasn’t a Stampin’ Up! organised event, but a team event, organised by one of my lovely Stampin’ friends. Someone I would NEVER have met without this company, and I spend the whole weekend crafting (how often to we get to do that!), it was great to reset, take time for me, and I am so ready for what the next few weeks will bring!

How cute are these! One of the things that we do when we get together is share and swap projects – we call them swaps, and its a massive part of any Stampin’ Up! event. Now, when I go to Stampin’ Up! organised events I make maybe 50 swaps, but because this was a smaller team event I made a swap for each person – so this time I made 22 of these. Actually I made 24, but that meant that I could leave a couple to say Thank You to the housekeepers / receptionist etc at the Hotel we stayed at.

Aren’t they super cute! Each pocket contains a bar of children’s chocolate (the same brand as those eggs with the toy in the middle!) – because chocolate / sweeties are another BIG theme at these events. James laughs at me, he always knows when I’m prepping for a crafty weekend away (he never remembers, no matter how many times I tell him I’m going!) when he sees the bags and bags of sweets sat in the office!

These pockets use the Pop of Pink Speciality Designer Series Paper and coordinating Pop of Paradise Stamp set. I did also make some using the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper too, seeing as I managed to cut enough paper for 18 pockets and then ran out of paper – Math isn’t my strong point!

Measurements:

Designer Series Paper – 4 x 4 1/2″ (10 x 12 cm)

Score on the long side at 2 and 4″ (5 and 10 cm)

The pockets are super simple to put together (as you can tell, a 5 minute Make It Monday video! even with my rambling is a miracle!). They are finished with the Tag Topper Punch at the top, and a staple at the bottom. Like I said I made 24 of these and it took me about an hour, from start to finish.

This technique looks really fancy, but is really really simple. Check out the video for all the details:

Top tips:

Detailed die cuts look best, I’m loving uses Rose Garden and Pretty Pines
Use Metal tone Embossing powder; Gold, Silver or Copper
Make sure your heat tool is good and hot before melting your embossing powder

Make It Monday | Ambassador’s Chocolate Box | Revisited

Wow, this is a requested video, although it has taken me a little longer than I had planned to get this one out! I always love hearing from you all, do you have a suggestion for me? Let me know and I will see what I can do

I made the original box about 18 months ago, it holds 3 chocolates but the request I had recently asked for a similar box to hold just 2.

The black box uses the original measurements and the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper, while the Garden Green version has a festive feel with This Christmas DSP.
