Inspire Create Challenge Sketch Challenge 029

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun sketch… I hope to see lots of you take part and add your creations to the Inspire.Create.Challenge Blog. You don’t need to blog to enter, you could upload your image to a gallery, Pinterest, or even Facebook (as long as the image is set to public of course).

Fun Christmas Card using Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

I decided to keep things simple this week, and just let the Designer Series Paper do all the talking. This fun print is from the Under the Mistletoe Paper pack, which you might have missed if your looking in the Autumn Winter catalogue because its in the Christmas section of the Annual one instead.

Quick and Easy Christmas Card using fun Patterned Paper from Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is in the Autumn Winter catalogue, its taken from Timeless Tidings, which I am getting heaps of use out of, although it is designed to go with the Timeless Tidings kit (which I still haven’t got round to making up yet!).

So, short and sweet today, do go and check out the other creations from the Design Team over at the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog… they have made some stunning projects this week.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 | Abstract Impressions Friendship Card

Fabulously Modern Floral Friendship Card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 Abstract Impressions Friendship Card

Inspire.Create.Challenge 028 Stampin' Up! Colour Combination

I have to say I LOVE setting the challenges for Inspire.Create…. but even I thought this one was mean! However, the girls have made some GORGEOUS projects with what could be a tricky colour combination. Do check out the Inspire.Create blog to see all the Design Team creations and to enter your own!

How to create a fun floral Friend card using Stampin' Up! products

After several weeks of no crafting at all thanks to my Crafty Mojo disappearing, this colour combination was just what I needed to get me back into my craft room.

The background is embossed with one of my favourite embossing folders; Layered Leaves. This embossing folder makes for the most perfect background to floral cards, it’s subtle, and works in a whole heap of colours too! I LOVE it!

There's So Much to Love About You Card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

The stamped flowers are stamped in Calypso Coral stamped over Crushed Curry, and finished with Pear Pizzazz leaves. To complete the card I added a trio of die cut flowers using the coordinating Springtime Impressions dies along with a trio of Rhinestones.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #026 | Merry Christmas To All

Inspire.Create.Challenge Merry Christmas To All Card using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge #026 | Merry Christmas To All

Inspire.Create.Challenge 026 Sketch Challenge using Stampin' up! products

I have told you all before how much I LOVE a sketch challenge… and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the Design Team do with this one! I have been pondering on it for a while; trying to work out what I was going to do with that Heart image… in the end I’ve chosen to change it to a circle and die cut it out.

How to make a fun Christmas Card using Merry Christmas to All from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I have been playing around with Designer Series Paper a fair bit recently, I made THIS card for my Brother in Law last week and used a piece of Designer Series Paper to cover the entire front of the card. I liked the effect so much I thought I would do the same here with this stunning Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is taken from the new Merry Christmas To All Stamp and die bundle. How perfect is that glitter-y die cut?! To adhere it to the card, I added some Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Glimmer Paper before it was die cut, the adhered it over the top of the die cut circle. To stop it sticky were I didn’t want it to, I covered uncovered adhesive with powder from my Embossing Buddy.

Merry Christmas Die Cut Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

The sentiment is completed with the Christmas heat embossed in White onto a scrap of Tranquil Tide card stock.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #023 | Congratulations Twinkle Twinkle

How to use Designer Series Paper in your card making featuring Twinkle Twinkle from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge #023 Congratulations Twinkle Twinkle

Inspire.Create.Challenge Stampin' Up! Sketch Challenge number 23

Hello! Oh my goodness, I feel like these challenges are coming around awfully quickly at the moment! I’m sure it’s because we’ve changed how we organise them slightly, and so I only made my challenge card for challenge 22 last week… but nothing has changed for you so really that is completely irrelevant! I do hope you enjoy our challenges, do pop over to the Inspire.Create blog and see the other members of the Design Team’s creations!

Blue Congratulations Card with stars using Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

This sketch totally lends itself to a card that uses big pieces of Designer Series Paper! I love this type of card as they come together really quickly but look fabulous too. My card for today features the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper that is predominately designed for baby cards, and so that is what I have made today pairing it with the coordinating stamp set; Little Twinkle. However, this paper is full of generic patterns that I can see being put to a heap of uses plus it’s heavy on the Night of Navy too so it’s perfect for guy cards!

The hardest bit of this card was making sure the measurements were right. First I cut the piece of Whisper White as a mat for the Designer Series Paper, then I worked out how big each piece of Designer Series Paper needed to be based on that measurement.

Baby boy congratulations card using Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Measurement:

Card base: Night of Navy; 29.7 x 10.5 cm, scored on the long side at 14.85 cm

Whisper White; 9.5 x 13.8 cm

4 pieces of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper; 4.5 x 6.65 cm

Whisper White; 10.5 x 2.5 cm

Inspire.Create.Challenge 021 | Fun Children’s Card using Swirly Bird

Fun card for a little boy using Swirly Bird from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 021 Fun Children’s Card using Swirly Bird

Inspire.Create.Challenge Theme Challenge Kids Cards

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge was a tricky one of me! I don’t make many cards for kids…. seeing as I don’t have any of my own… you wouldn’t think I actually set the challenges for Inspire.Create.Challenge would you?!

Children's Sail boat card using Swirly Bird from Stampin' Up!

A few months ago the lovely Sarah-Jane from the Inspire.Create team gave me THIS pretty card, it’s been sitting on my card display ever since…. and this weekend I decided that the idea would be perfect for a kids card!

The sail boat comes from the Swirly Bird stamp set. I’ve stamped it here in Lemon Lime Twist, night of Navy and Grey Granite (stamped off once)… and fussy cut it before adhering it to the Whisper White square die cut using the Layering Squares Framelits. The scalloped Lemon Lime Twist Square uses the same set of dies.

Kids card using Swirly Bird from Stampin' Up!

The background uses 3 die cuts of Night of Navy using the coordinating Swirly Scribbles dies… to adhere them to the card base I did add some Multi-Purpose Adhesive sheet to the back of the card stock before die cutting, but you could use liquid glue to get the same effect.

Don’t forget to check out the other Kid’s Card inspiration over at Inspire.Create.Challenge, and create your own and share it with us there too!

Inspire.Create.Challenges #020 | Sketch Challenge with Rooted in Nature

How to make a pretty thank you card with a tree from Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges #020 Sketch Challenge with Rooted in Nature

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun and fabulous sketch challenge! You can check the challenge and the other Design Team Members projects out over at Inspire.Create.Challenges

Inspire.Create.Challenges Sketch Challenge Tree Thank You Card using Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Ok, so I have a confession… this is the second card I made for this challenge (I plan to share the other one with you on Saturday!)… but this one is my favourite! This happens to me often, when I make a card for an occasion, go away, fall out of love with it and make something else! I’m sure I’m not the only person this happens to!

I do have a bit of an obsession with the Rooted in Nature bundle…. but I’m not apologising for sharing it with you! This bundle HAS to be one of my top picks from the new Stampin’ Up! 2018 Annual Catalogue!

Thank you card using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

This large tree in particular is one of my favourite pieces, along with it’s coordinating die! I’ve kept the colour combination simple; with Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.

The card is finished with a bow in Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine

Inspire.Create.Challenges #019 | Grapefruit Grove Home Decor

Inspire.Create.Challenges In Colour Challenge using Grapefruit Grove and Share What You Love from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges #019 Grapefruit Grove Home Decor

Stampin' Up! In Colours 2018-2020 Lovely Lipstick Pineapple Punch Grapefruit Grove Call me Clover Blueberry Bushel

This week I am sharing a whole weeks worth of inspiration featuring the new Stampin’ Up! 2018-2020 In Colours… which happens to tie in quite nicely to this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenges Colour Challenge…

Inspire.Create.Challenges In Colour Challenge using Stampin' Up! colours

One of my most favourite times in the Stampin’ Up! calendar is the release of the new In-Colours…. and this year certainly did not disappoint! These 5 fun, bright colours are going to be awesome to use during the summer, and I can see some fabulous Christmas crafting coming with Call Me Clover too!

Today’s project is a fairly simple one… borne from the need to update my Office decor! I’ve had this frame in my craft room for a couple of years, I shared the original creation HERE…. but it was starting to look tired… and I could not pass up the chance to use the Exclusive Statement of the Heart stamp before it retires Tomorrow! The frame is THIS one from IKEA (I LOVE IKEA… don’t you?!)

Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart Craft Room Home Decor Frame using Share What You Love Designer Series Paper

Today is Grapefruit Grove day in my week long celebration of all things ‘In Colour’ and I just HAD to use this piece of the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and the Statement of the Heart Stamp Set from the Share What You Love Bundles, along with some of the pieces from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, Pearlised Doilies and a hint of Vellum too!

This week I am sharing a daily PDF download of each project with my Email subscribers, feel free to subscribe HERE.

Do pop over to Inspire.Create.Challenges to see the work of the fabulous other members of the Design Team have made with these fun In-Colours…

Inspire.Create.Challenge 018 | Lemon Zest Sunshine Birthday Card

Inspire.Create.Challenge Card making Theme Challenge Lemon Zest Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 018 Lemon Zest Sunshine Birthday Card

Inspire.Create.Challenge Card making Theme Challenge Sunshine

As we head towards summer here in the UK we are all hoping for some more Sunshine… but you know, you can always make your own! For me Sunshine says Bright colours and fun…. and I hope that my card for Inspire.Create.Challenges fits that brief!

Bright and Fun Birthday Card using Lemon Zest from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

It has been FAR too long since I pulled this stamp set off my Stamp Shelf! Lemon Zest is so fun… and it has a coordinating punch… but it’s one I have really struggled to use! So, this is a bit of a two part challenge for me this week, one, to make a card that says ‘Sunshine’ and two, to make something with this fabulous Stamp Set!

The card itself is Old Olive, with layers of Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White, a splatter of Old Olive ink… and then I’ve gone to town with circle dies!

How to make a quick and easy Birthday Card using Lemon Zest from Stampin' Up! with #stampinbyhannah

It’s always really easy to forget what sentiments a theme’d stamp set like this contains… but how lovely is that Happy Birthday?

I cannot wait to see you ‘Sunshine’ cards over at Inspire.Create.Challenge, do check out the other Design Team inspiration too!

Inspire.Create.Challenge 016 | Farewell Dapper Denim…

Fine Tip Glue Techniques with Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 016 Farewell Dapper Denim…

Inspire.Create.Challenges Colour Challenge April 2018

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun farewell to the 2016-2018 In-Colours… I cannot quite believe that we’ve had these for 2 years already! I thought as we bid these colours goodbye, I would update one of the projects I made to introduce them! You can find that blog post HERE!

How to use Fine Tip Glue on your cards... as something other than an adhesive with Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

These cards use one of my favourite techniques; Masking with Fine-Tip Glue. It’s super easy to do, but it does take a little time as the glue has to dry (and it’s better if you leave it overnight). Here I have stamped two of the images from the Beautiful You stamp set onto Very Vanilla Notecards, using Archival Basic Black ink (but staz-on would work just as well). Then use Fine-Tip glue to ‘colour in’ the stamped images, making sure to cover the area fully.

Once the glue is dried, you can then stamp over it. I’ve used Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, and Emerald Envy, and one of the stamps from Touches of Texture. Where the glue is the ink won’t stick. Then, take a Stampin’ Sponge and sponge on more ink, making sure to wipe away the ink from the glue.

Quick and fun card collection using Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

I can hear you asking why I haven’t used Flirty Flamingo… well, it’s one of the colours coming back as part of the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp! I am super excited about this, and will be sharing all of the details about that with you really soon!

Don’t forget to pop over to Inspire.Create.Challenges and see what the other members of the Design Team have created with these fabulous colours! And, if we have inspired you… why not share your makes with us over there too…
