I love this weeks selection. I use my Envelope Punch Board all the time, it makes amazing boxes and bags as well as envelopes, and is so handy to have – ready for that awkward sized card! If you are subscribed to my newsletter you will find a great project there this month using the Flower Patch Stamp set (definitely one of my favourites) and great for creating layered, dimensional flowers, especially when paired with the matching framelits! This was one of the cards we made at Technique class last March, but its it fab! Using Pool Party and Marina Mist to create those great layered flowers!

This month I’m keeping things simple – life is insane right now, my wedding is now 3 weeks away! I am so not ready yet (so much left to do, STILL trying to find the time to make the orders of service and sort the seating plan!) But I didn’t want to miss a month of Online Workshops for you…
I chose to use the You’re Sublime stamp set this month. I love the images here, they are super cute (totally the word of this workshop – watch the video to understand what I mean!), and I think you can make a heap of different cards for all occasions with these.
In order to keep things super simple we are making 3 cards this month, rather than boxes or bags, and there are 3 super simple cards to make along with me. Saying that there are 3 pretty distinct card making looks here. I am totally in love with the ‘follow your heart’ card – those polka dots just kill me!
Follow Your Heart
This card uses a Lost Lagoon card base with a Whisper White card layer. There are only 3 colour here; Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate, and they are added to the Whisper White layer using Sponge Daubers to stamp the colour on! What a great technique. The super sweet caravan is fussy cut, and coloured in the same colours with my Blender Pens (yes, I LOVE them!!!)
Have a Snappy Day
This is a super super simple card. Once again using those great Sponge Daubers, but this time to colour a larger area – I’ll let you watch the workshop to see what I mean
Loads of Thanks
When looking for ideas for using this stamp set, I stumbled upon this set of cards on Pinterest, and was totally inspired.
I recently received the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper stack, and I will admit I was scared – black with flowers! frightening! But as soon as I started to use it I fell in love! The patterns are small and dainty, but really sweet, they are the perfect size for card making – and its a 6 x 6 pad – awesome!
I have a great workshop for you next month – seeing as I’m away on honeymoon, I thought a Wedding theme may be appropriate! That workshop will go live on the 12th August 2015
Dont forget to shop using the Code Club Code to receive some great FREE product!

There are so many accessories for stamping, I thought I would give you my top picks to get you started.
Stampin’ Blocks!
There are so many different blocks on the market and I will admit to having quite a collection, however, I only use a few. Last year before I became a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! I thought that a clear block was a clear block, that they are much of a muchness, and didn’t really matter. I was wrong! I now only use my Stampin’ Up! blocks, and not because I’m a demonstrator, but because they are the best!
There are several things I look for a in block, is it easy to hold? what about the weight? size? and durability. The blocks I use are available in a range of sizes, are a nice weight and are really durable, but the best thing about them is the hold. I’m sure you have a few blocks, and they are probably those nasty thin ones from the cheap section in the craft store?! I have some too, and why don’t I use them? because my fingers go over the edges and into the ink! I make enough of a messy without my blocks helping me out! Stampin’ Up! blocks feature a wonderful groove for your fingers to sit, keeping them out of the ink and helping prevent inky finger prints on your nice piece of Whisper White!
Stamp-a-ma-jig
I know there is lots of buzz around the crafty world at the moment about stamp positioners, in particular a very expensive one from the States, and while I’m sure its great, as a beginner its is an unnecessary expense. I have a whole video on the stamp-a-ma-jig, and I love it! Its a great way of getting nicely straight sentiments and centred images, and its only £11!
Swatch Book
I posted a video on this recently too, my custom made swatch book. I have the PDF’s available on the coordinating blog post too. I use this all the time to match colours and choose colour combinations, and its a great tool for documenting your growing ink colour collection!
Stampin’ Scrub
This is probably the one tool I get asked about most at classes and events; my Stampin’ Scrub! I love this thing! It features two sides of of washable black fibre scrub pads that are the greatest things for cleaning those inky stamps! Use in combination with Stampin’ Mist to clean and condition your stamps after each use, less waste and hassle that baby wipes with no of the nasty residue. I wouldn’t be without mine!

Weekly Deals
As always I’ll start my Week In Review with this weeks Weekly Deals, these items are available on a special offer for this week only! This deal is always available, but the products change from week to week, they are always worth checking out!
This week not only have they selected 3 great stamp sets! (I am loving that Six-Sided Sampler, there are some awesome ideas for that one on Pinterest!), but also that punch is one of my favourites! It coordinates with the Crazy About You stamp set that I just adore! I can’t live without my Fast Fuse, I am sure it will be hitting my basket this week!
What’s on your next order?
Classes and Workshops
Have you seen that I have added an extra tab under ‘Classes and Workshops’? I thought it might be nice for you to see at a glance all the classes I currently have available for the following month!
There is now less that a week until booking closes for my July technique class. This month we are using An Open Heart to make 5 (yes, that’s more cards that usual!) gorgeous cards for all occasions.
I am also offering two other classes in July; a kit class, this month making the wonderful Perpetual Birthday Calendar, and a Stamp-a-Stack – making 10 easy to make birthday cards in a flash!
Well, heaps actually! I worked at the day job last weekend, so have been spending the first few days of this week playing catch-up. I have a super exciting post coming on Saturday that I have been working really hard to sort out, which is now ready to go! eeek! I am so excited about that one! As well as planning for Team Training, and starting to get ahead with the blog ready for being away for 3 weeks!
Wedding plans are also really taking shape now, less that 7 weeks to go! We’ve been on a bit of a crash diet this week, trying to get ready for that bikini on the honeymoon! I must get back to the shop to try my dress on again. My Orders of Service are arriving today so I really should get on with making the covers, but I think I’ll save that for Sunday when the madness has calmed.
Before I go…

Fancy Fold How To:
I love this corner fold card, I have to give credit to Dawn Griffiths, I have resized the card to fit A4 card stock 🙂
Cut a piece of A4 card stock in half, and fold in half to create your card base
Unfold your card base and insert, long side at the top, into your Stampin’ Trimmer. Cut at 13 cm from 2 to 8 cm using the trimmer attachment as a guide
Turn your card base so the short side is down at the top, and cut at 8 cm from 2 to 8 cm
Fold down the corner of the card, leaving the cut corner flat.
Inside pieces:
Watermelon Wonder – 14.2 x 10 cm
Whisper White – 13.8 x 9.5 cm
Outside pieces:
Watermelon Wonder – 6 x 6 cm
Whisper White – 5.5 x 5.5 cm
As I mentioned in the tutorial, any order placed using the Hostess Code will receive a card kit with all the card stock pieces ready for you to make these 3 projects

Today marks the start of my completely free weekly card-making class here at StampinByHannah. This class has been in the planning for ages and I am so pleased I am finally ready to share it with you.
Each week, on a Sunday, a new tutorial will be released focusing on card making basics; hints and tips, tools, techniques and useful information to help you to make amazing projects. I am so excited! shall we begin?
This week I thought we would start at the beginning; how to cut yourself a card base. I know that not everyone will cut there own card bases, but I think its a useful thing to know, particularly as then your not stuck with white or cream cards all the time – lets get some colour in here!
How to:
I use A4 card stock, I know that these measurements will not be useful for everyone, particularly those who use 8.5×11″ however, I live in the UK and A4 is all we have
There are two ways to cut a card base, depending on the style of card you wish to create. I frequently use tent fold cards and so cut my A4 length ways at 10.5 cm to create two long skinny pieces of card stock, I don’t tend to score in the middle for these and find that folding them in half and burnishing with my bone folder is enough
The other common card base is a ‘book style’ card, and for these I cut my A4 width-ways at 14.8 cm, scoring them in half at 10.5 cm and folding to create my card
These two methods create the same size card; 14.8 x 10.5 cm
To create a layer for the front of your card, take an A4 piece of Whisper White and cut at 10 cm, and 14.2 cm to create a slightly smaller piece that will fit beautifully on the front of the card base you have already created.
To create further layers reduce the size of your card stock by 0.5 cm each time, the next layer would therefore be 9.5 x 13.8 cm, the next 9 x 13.2 cm, and the next 8.5 x 12.8
I hope this has been useful, if you have any card making questions or queries please let me know and I will endeavour to answer your questions in later editions of Cardmaking 101

I have a heap of things to tell you about today! Yesterday was the launch of the brand new Stampin’ Up! catalogue! Yay! I am still sending catalogues out for free (provided you are in the UK) just complete this form for a copy, or there is a digital PDF download version available in the sidebar. My monthly newsletter is due to hit your inboxes today (or tomorrow depending on some external factors – like how fast YouTube is feeling today!), you can subscribe at any time by using the link found at the end of all of my blog posts.
This weeks deal selection is great! I always love a good embossing folder – this week we have two! You guys already know what a fan of tag topper punches I am, this ornate one is carrying over from the Spring/Summer catalogue, and is a great addition to your punch collection. The handpicked framelits dies are also a carry over item, and coordinate with two of the brand new stamp sets in the new Annual Catalogue! And who can live without some gold sequins!
In addition to the new catalogue, yesterday we also launched a brand new Joining offer!
If you decide to join Stampin’ Up! in June, you will get to choose TWO free stamp sets in your Starter kit – that’t any two stamp sets in the annual catalogue, for FREE! Awesome right! I have waffled and waffled about the joys of being part of Stampin’ Up! I have a heap of information about joining on my Join My Team page. And I am available by email and phone if you have any questions.
I also have my own joining offer this month, and all new team members will receive and extra special goody bag! (but I’m not telling you what’s in it! stay tuned for more information on that one!)
I have updated the Classes and Workshops page. You can now see a full list of Classes, Workshops, and events through until the end of the year. If you live locally to me and have ordered a catalogue, this timetable was also included.
I have changed my classes slightly this time, and will be holding a Techniques Class each month, with Kit classes and Stamp-a-Stack events in some months. Unfortunately there will be no classes or events in August as I get married and go on honeymoon, the blog will still be updated regularly during this time.
I think that’s probably enough information to bombard you with today, I’m working this morning, but am looking forward to a girly lunch and shopping afternoon, followed by a gym session with James. I have recently challenged him – he thinks he can get me to run 5K by the time we get married, for all I’m the one doing the training, I’m not sure!
