What I made this week

What’s this? I’ve managed a weekly blog post sharing what I have made for the second time in a week! I know, I’m pretty stunned to. This week coming is a little bit crazy, as I have my busy day job, and trying to be ready for a weekend away with my Crafty Friends starting on Friday evening. (I am currently no where near packed, haven’t checked the packing list, or organised any clothing)

Last week I shared a couple of projects over on Instagram, using the Christmas Crew stamps (how cute is that Reindeer?!) and my favourite suite from the latest catalogue; Mosaic Garden, and Gears and Textures.

Quick card using Gears and Textures from Stampin’ Up!

Love a bit of tone on tone stamping, and this is Secret Sea stamped on Secret Sea. Actually I quite like this colour combination too; Secret Sea, Hydrangea Hue and Crumb Cake with White. This card uses the Gears and Textures stamps and dies, but it doesn’t have any sentiments so I added the happy Birthday using Reason To Celebrate.

Cute card using Christmas Crew from Stampin’ Up!

This cute card uses Christmas Crew, colour using Stampin’ Blends. I’ve kept it super simple with a die cut square from Tile Garden and a piece of In Colour Designer Series Paper.

How to make a Z Fold Card using Mosaic Garden from Stampin’ Up!

I shared this fun fold card on Instagram this week. It uses Mosaic Garden. I absolutely love this suite! I think it’s the colours (actually, that’s a lie. It’s the colours…. It’s always the colours!) This card is super simple to make too; the measurements are;

Card base (Pretty Peacock) – 10.5 x 21 cm, scored on the long edge at 5.25 and 10.5 cm

Whisper White layer – 10 x 14.3 cm

Designer Series Paper (Mosaic Garden) 14.3 x 5 cm and 13.8 x 4.8 cm

Two die cut squares using the Tile Garden dies (one in Whisper White and one in Hydrangea Hue)

70th Birthday cake

My most important make of the week though was this fabulous creation… my Mum and Dad’s joint 70th Birthday Cake. It’s Chocolate on the bottom and Lemon Drizzle on the top… and there isn’t really very much left!

  1. Love your projects, I have some stuff sorted for the weekend. But not thought about clothes yet. See you Saturday, maybe Friday, I am staying in a different hotel.
