Ooooh, I am super excited! The Stampin’ Up! Autumn / Winter catalogue launches TOMORROW!!! Eeek…. it is SO good! and I cannot wait to share it all with you! Today’s project is a little bit of a sneak peak of what is to come…. as well as a CASE of THIS card by Dawn Griffith.
I have mentioned before about how I am not a massive fan of your traditional Christmas red and green. This card is testament to that with Powder Pink and Fresh Fig, with touches of Gold…. but it still manages to be festive!
The card base and top layer are in Powder Pink and have been embossed using Petal Burst Embossing Folder. While the rest of the card uses new products from the Autumn / Winter catalogue. The sentiment is called Cheers to the Year, and it is designed as a New Year suite… but it has some great sentiments perfect for Christmas and even weddings too! The sentiment is heat embossed in Gold, with stamping around it in Fresh Fig. Then I have used my favourite Layering Circles dies to cut out the sentiment. The card is then finished with one of the stunning Foil Snowflakes!
Measurements:
Card Base – 14.8 x 21 cm, scored on the long side at 10.5 cm

I have recently been playing around with making cards with multiple layers and details, and I think that this card fits into that category. I shared this card a few weeks ago on my How to… Use Embossing Paste Video, but I never got around to writing the blog post (bad blogger!) …. but it was far too good not to share!
The background of this card uses Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Check the video for how I created this background, I am loving creating textured backgrounds with Embossing Paste. Have you tried it yet?
I have a couple of top tips for using Embossing Paste:
Only take out a little paste, this stuff dries QUICK! and ensure that the lid is on firmly when leaving it
Play around with the different Palette knives – they each have a different purpose!
You can colour your paste with Stampin’ Up! re-inkers…. I have a video for that too!
The main focus of this card is that beautiful Daisy… stamped in Berry Burst and punched out with the Daisy Punch, with a Faceted Gem centre – so pretty.
I originally just had the daisy, the bow and the sentiment, but it just needed more! So I added a Vellum circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and an extra double bow in Linen Thread.

Welcome to Make It Monday! I am loving this weeks project, I made these a few weeks ago and they have sat, looking all pretty on my desk every since…. saying that I really want to send them to someone… but I’ll get to that later!
Notebooks are always a handy gift. These are marked for Team Member gifts…. I always send a little something to new team members to welcome them to the team, and a notebook is great…. I mean, your massive wish list needs somewhere to go, right?!
The purple notebook (sorry, Fresh Fig!) uses the Eastern Palace stamp set and coordinating Eastern Beauty Designer Series Paper. The trick to these notebook covers is the magnets… yes they have a magnetic snap closure. I am sure that these covers would be just as cute without the magnets, but I took delivery of a heap of magnets last week and just HAD to use them on a project! I get my magnets from Ebay…. just search for Neodymium Disc magnets, and I am sure you will find them!
Measurements:
These notebook covers are for Jotter sized notebooks, and are in metric measurements only.
Card stock: 21 x 18.5 cm
Score on the SHORT side at 7, 7.5, 14.5 and 15 cm
Designer Series Paper: 20.5 x 6.5 cm AND 20.5 x 3 cm

I have a fun, quick and simple card for you today on Simple Sunday… the day of the week I dedicate to easy to create cards using just a few supplies.
I am loving the selection of Designer Series Papers in this years Annual catalogue…. actually I love the ones in the Autumn / Winter catalogue too! But this particular pack has gone un-loved so far. This card uses the Just Add Colour Specialty Designer Series Paper, this paper is slightly thicker than the standard Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper and is only printed on one side. It comes in white, with black print featuring lots of different designs including these fun feathers. I added colour to this Designer Series Paper using a Sponge Brayer. I love my Sponge Brayer, it is a great way to add an ombre effect to your cards. I do of course have some top tips!
Roll your brayer lightly over your inkpad, picking up a little ink
Starting off your card stock, and at the bottom, run the brayer backwards and forwards across the card. This is a slow build of colour, so go back to the ink pad, pick up more ink and repeat
Work the brayer up the card stock, building more ink near the bottom of the card and less as you go further up
The sentiment is take from Lovely Inside & Out, and is heat embossed in Copper… so pretty. The card is finished with a layer of Bermuda Bay card stock to coordinate with the ombre ink! and a Basic Black card base, and a trio of White Perfect Accents…. yes, I know they are not white! I am loving accents, but I don’t always want White…. did you know that you can peal the white paper backing off and adhere them with Fine Tip Glue for Perfect Accents in any colour?! Perfect!

Hello! so, I designed this card for the Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge…. but then my blog broke and I missed it! But I didn’t want you to miss this card… so here it is! You can check out the Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge Blog hop HERE!
Now the sketch showed 3 squares….. and well, I had to move them around! I’m sure if you have seen my takes on a sketch before you will know that I tend to move things, change shapes and do all sorts of other funny things to sketches! But I love my card!
I received the Layering Squares Framelits just before I made this card… can you tell that I LOVE them! The great thing about using dies to cut squares rather than hand cutting them is that, not only can you ensure that your squares are actually square, but also you can pair them with the matching layer!
I have stuck to a very simply colour scheme, using just Crumb Cake and Early Espresso for this card. But each square was treated very differently.
The bottom most square is stamped with Crumb Cake ink using the Eastern Palace stamp set, for a fun tone on tone effect. The next square was embossed using the Hexagon 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and the top square holds the sentiment stamped in Early Espresso. Each square also had a hint of a sponged edge also using Crumb Cake ink.
This card is finished with a double bow of Linen Thread, a hint of background stamping, and a trio of Jewel Rhinestones

I am so sorry that this post didn’t go live yesterday…. something happened to my blog… all fixed now and ready to share…. enjoy x
I have a nice, simple card for you today… but its a technique I use a LOT! so I though I would share my tips for Selective Inking!
The original stamp reads… Sending Lots of Love, well, I didn’t want the ‘Sending’ so I grabbed for my Stampin’ Write Markers…
Use the side of the brush tip of the marker to colour the stamp
For solid stamps (like this one) use LOTS of ink… colour the stamp, and then colour it again… the more ink you add the less streaky lines you will have on your final stamped image
The ink will dry on the stamp, breath on the stamp before you stamp it to re-activate the ink for a perfect stamped image!

I’m on a bit of a bright colour kick at the moment…. give me rainbows and bold colours and I’m happy all week! but this hasn’t made it into my crafting very much, until now! This fun rainbow card took a little bit of effort to create, but I am totally in love with it and now that it’s been featured on my blog, it will be finding a permanent home on my mood board!
The rainbow is Real Red, Pumpin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry. I used the Layering Circles dies to cut each colour; cutting a smaller circle then the larger one to give rings of colour. I then cut a Whisper White circle using the largest die, and pieced each ring on the circle. I also adhered the circle onto the card before I cut it in half….. so I could actually make another one of these!
The WISH die cut is taken from the Cupcake Cutout framelits. I die cut it 4 times from Basic Black card stock with Multipurpose Adhesive sheet attached, this stuff is awesome and makes die cuts really easy to stack like this! I added a hint of Wink of Stella once it was attached to the card to give it a touch of sparkle.
The final part of the card is the word BIG stamped out in Basic Black ink using the Labeller Alphabet. I have been meaning to grab this stamp set for ages, and it finally hit my stamp shelves a couple of weeks ago! Its great, not only is the font really cute, but it includes multiples of commonly used letters to make you stamping even easier! Perfect!

I am making a big effort at the moment to be more organised, I have bought myself a new diary, and am attempting to plan my work days…. it already appears to have gone by the way side as I remembered at 3PM yesterday afternoon that I didn’t have a blog post written for today…. or even a card made! I know, it is shocking! But, its ok because the Global Design Project came to my rescue with instant inspiration in the form of a colour challenge…
I am loving this colour combination, paired with Whisper White its bright and fresh…. but I can also see some vibrant watercolour, or paper piecing with this one too. I’ve spent the past week or so prepping some Christmas projects for later in the year, so its nice to step out of Red and Green for a moment or two
This very soft card was a nightmare to photograph! I think its the soft pinks with the bold Night of Navy…. and a lot of white space… but then that’s why I love this card! Birthday Blossoms is such a pretty, soft stamp set, its really girly…. and works really well with pink! The flowers are heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss powder, and then Flirty Flamingo ink applied with a Stampin’ Sponge, before I punched them out with the coordinating Pansy Punch.
The rest of the card is equally as simple. A a trio of Bermuda Bay stamped leaves, the sentiment in Night of Navy and a splatter of Flirty Flamingo, along with a couple of wonky layers and a trio of White Perfect Accents to finish.
