One of the major perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the treatment you get from Stampin’ Up! They LOVE to treat their demonstrators…. whether that is through early releases and pre-orders, events, or they Demonstrator Exclusive Magazine; Stampin’ Success. The latest issue landed on my doorstep last week, and the card on the front really jumped out at me… and I just HAD to share it with you to!

How to create a fun watercoloured Thank you card using Accented blooms from Stampin' Up!

The Accented Bloom set set is so pretty… particularly when heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Check out the video to see how I created the watercolour effect…

Crafting on a Sunday Morning | Male Appropriate Cards…

Facebook Live Video Tutorial How to make a male card using Animal Outing from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Crafting on a Sunday Morning Male Appropriate Cards…

Stampin' Up! Facebook Live StampinByHannah UK

Every other Sunday morning I go Live on Facebook… and this morning we had heaps of fun making men’s cards! In honour of Father’s Day next weekend, I thought it was about time I gave you some fabulous male inspiration… that was until I remembered that ALL of my guy themed stamp sets retired at the end of May! However, I dug deep into my Stamp Stash… and I think I came up with 3 fun male appropriate cards!

Watercolour Father's Day Card using Basket Weave Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

This first card would make a perfect Father’s Day card. Sometimes we are over-taken by the need to throw our entire craft room at a card… and while that has it’s place, guy cards ain’t it! I love keeping things clean and simple for cards for the guys in my life. Here the focus of the card is that fun watercolour lettering; layered with a piece of Coastal Cabana (Yum!) and some Basket Weave Embossing in night of Navy.

Fun Bicycle Card using Stampin' Up! products

One of my favourite guy themed stamp sets is Bike Ride…. while it’s not guy exclusive, I use it regularly for men’s cards. Check out the video for how I used the Stamparatus to create this card…

All of the cards in this week’s Facebook Live used my Standard Card Measurements.

Facebook Live Video Tutorial How to make a male card using Animal Outing from Stampin' Up!

The 3rd and final card uses a probably unexpected stamp set; Animal Outing. While this card is designed for children’s cards, I can see heaps of fun cards for adults too. Here it’s paired with the Nature’s Poem Designer Series paper, and hint of Linen Thread.

Don’t forget to check out the video over on my Facebook page to enter this week’s giveaway… and Like my page to be notified the next time I go Crafting on a Sunday Morning!

Pootlers Team Blog Hop | Welcome to the new Annual Catalogue!

Fun Congratulations card using Hand Delivered from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Pootlers Team Blog Hop Welcome to the new Annual Catalogue!

Pootles Stampin' Up! Team Blog Hop

Oh dear… so this morning was a bit of a disaster! My blog post didn’t go live quite when it should… and then I managed to delete everything I had written! Oh the joys of trying to sort out a blog hop on your phone! I really should know better, particularly as I set the date…. but I obviously wasn’t paying attention when I planned the team blog hop for the morning after going to see Ed Sheeran at St James’ Park in Newcastle (he was AWESOME by the way!)

So, here is the second version of this blog post…. I hope you enjoy!

Hand Delivered Watercolour card using Stampin' Up! products

When taking part in team blog hops, I like to try and make a project fit for them… and I think this card fits the bill! It uses the lovely new Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set; Hand Delivered, which although looks tricky to stamp (because the girl’s legs and body are actually two separate pieces) but it lines up really easily, even when stamped in Clear Versamark ink, and heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Fun watercoloured Congratulations using Hand Delivered from Stampin' Up!

I’ve used a heap of new colours on this card… you can find the full list at the very bottom of this post… and one of my favourite techniques ever; watercolour. The card stock is Thick Whisper White, so you have to work quickly, but you can still get some lovely watercolour effects.

I would LOVE for you to check out the other ladies who have taken part in the Pootlers team blog hop today… click through them all using the list below, and I hope to see you again soon

Cute Stamped Vellum boxes for Yankee Candles

How to make cute Vellum boxes for Yankee candles with Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Cute Stamped Vellum boxes for Yankee Candles

I love to craft, I make more cards than anything else…. but every once in a while I like to try something 3D. I bought a pack of Yankee candles ages ago, and they’ve sat on my ‘inspiration’ shelf ever since…. until now!

Fun stamped vellum box using Painted Harvest from Stampin' Up!

My friend Sally made a really cute box wrapped in Vellum a few months ago… and took the idea as inspiration here. The vellum is stamped using one of the leave stamps from Painted Harvest. I LOVE the look of stamped vellum… it’s one of those techniques that looks tricky, but is actually super easy. Just remember that Vellum can take a little while to dry, give it some time, and then hit it with your heat gun!

Measurements:

Card stock; 8-1/2 x 7-1/2″ (22 x 18.5 cm)

Score on the long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8″ (5, 10, 15, and 20 cm)

Score on the short side at 2, 4-1/4, and 6-1/4″ (5, 10.5 and 15.5 cm)

Vellum; 8-1/2 x 2″ (22 x 4 cm)

Welcome Animal Outing

Fun Welcome card with a Kangaroo using Animal Outings from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Welcome Animal Outing

Are you like me, always saving fun card making inspiration you spot on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest? Are you also like me in that you never actually get around to making any of them! I am terrible…. one day I might actually get to spend the day creating using all this inspiration… mind you I did manage to do that for this card. It was inspired by a card I spotted from Debbie Hughes

How to make a fun animal themed Welcome card using Animal Outing from Stampin' Up!

This card was SO fun to make… and I’ve been playing with layers again!

The stitched circle is dry embossed with the Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before being gentle-y rubbed over with a hint of Mint Macaron and a sponge. The cute kangaroo is from the new Animal Outing stamp set, and I’ve added a hint of colour with some watercolour pencil and a blender pen before fussy cutting it.

I’m sorry that today’s photos are so dark, I’m still playing around with my new camera…. and by the looks of it completely failing to work out the White Balance! oh well…. there’s always next time!

Global Design Project 140 | Just for you…

Pretty stamped Just for You card using stamps and embossing folders and Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Global Design Project 140 Just for you…

Global Design Team Case The Designer Challenge with Brain King

I haven’t taken part in the Global Design Project for AGES! You guys know how much I LOVE a good creative challenge, and this one is definitely one of the best…. This week’s challenge is a CASE the Designer; where you are actively encouraged to use a card by one of the super talented Design Team, as inspiration for another.

This is the point where I will admit that this is NOT the first card I made for this one, and I might well share the first one with you in a few weeks. This happens to me quite often, particularly when I’m creating for a challenge… I’ll make a card, and then go away for a few hours and better inspiration will strike, and a even better card magically appears on my craft desk. It is awesome!

How to make a pretty delicate Just for You card with leaves and flowers using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

I love the shape of the stamping on Brian’s card, but I choose here to make that shape smaller… and swap some stamping with some dry embossing. I also really liked Brian’s colour combination…although I have swapped the Basic Black for Grey Granite…. and the Flirty Flamingo for Berry Burst dots using a Stampin’ Write Marker. The floral element from Brian’s card becomes leaves too.

Global Design Project Case the Designer Just for You Natural Card using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

I’ve been sharing a few cards using the fabulous Rooted in Nature Stamp set recently… including my Facebook Live video from yesterday. I’ll be sharing that one here tomorrow, along with some fabulous Giveaway news too!

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Oh dear…. I totally dropped the ball in May, I’m usually super organised when it comes to my blog, but this past month I have managed to miss several blog hops that I LOVE taking part in… and I almost missed this one too! It actually should have been last weekend, but I think we all felt May… and so it’s the first weekend of June instead!

This month’s Theme was set by the ever gorgeous Sam Roberts…. and boy did she give us a challenge!

InspireInk Blog Hop cardmaking challenge theme FunFair Carnival

I cannot WAIT to see what the other ladies have made for this one! I spent hours thinking about this theme…. so long that I missed the original deadline! But… creating bold and bright projects for my In-Colour week brought me inspiration, and this card arrived on my desk!

How to make a bright and fun congratulations card with a hot air balloon using Lift Me Up from Stampin' Up!

I haven’t taken the Lift Me Up Stamp Set off the shelf in AGES… and I had forgotten how much I love it! It has the cutest coordinating die set, Up and Away thinlits.

This card is SO bright, thanks mainly to that fun Pineapple Punch card base. The other colours on this card are; Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade.
