I am sure you are all well aware by now of my LOVE of the Festival of Trees stamp set, and most of my Christmas Cards this year feature it, today I want to share a non-traditional colour scheme with you.
This card is Tempting Turquoise and Very Vanilla. The tree is stamped in Pear Pizzazz, with Rich Razzleberry accents. I just thing this is such a cute (almost) one layer card!
Sorry for such a short post today, back to normal scheduled posting tomorrow (with an awesome video tutorial)
See you then

Its been a little crazy round here for the past couple of weeks (holidays, Stampin’ Up! events, Christmas fayres, and I’m working a 44 hour week this week) So, today’s card is simple!
I just love Night of Navy, its just so rich and expensive looking – without doing anything to it! So, I’ve kept this card simple to really show off that gorgeous colour!
The stamp set is Holiday Home (I will be so sad to see this one leave!) Stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White cardstock!
One of the many things I love about these stamps is that they are Photopolymer, and have loads of little accent pieces and details. The houses are super cute on their own, but add a string of Christmas lights, or a holiday wreath, or a heart, and they shine! And because they are photopolymer, lining up those images is really really easy!
yay!

Oh yes, It’s almost December! Nearly Christmas! but I have to do one thing before I get any more excited about the most wonderful time of the year – Monthly Favourites!
I have two stamp set favourites this month: Gorgeous Grunge and Holiday Home.
My Ink / Colour favourite is Lost Lagoon (I can see this appearing more than once in it’s run as an In-Colour!)
My Project Favourite is my Swaps from Sale-a-Bration tour (which you can see a whole lot of HERE!)
I love the baskets I store loads of my things in from Tesco, actually I think I need some more!
Before I go, don’t forget this amazing offer ends on 2nd December!
Oh, and go and like my Facebook page to get another amazing offer from me!

As a demonstrator I get the opportunity to go to Stampin’ Up! events, including Regional training events, and Convention, as well as more local team training and special events like the one I attended this week (more one what I saw / heard / etc. coming in the new year!). There are many great aspects to being a demo, not only the events, discounts, and special offers, but the team support and inspiration.
One of the ways we share inspiration is by making swaps. Many demo’s make items, card fronts and small 3D projects, for all Stampin’ Up! events; including team training. This week was my first ever Stampin’ Up! event; although there has been Convention since I joined I was unable to attend due to work commitments. So this was my first Stampin’ Up! event, and my first attempt at Swaps!
I decided to keep it simple, and use two stamp sets; one I know a lot of demos have, and one they may have overlooked (but I love!); Gorgeous Grunge and Bouquet Toss.
In addition to my swaps, I also made a special card for my upline, just as a special Thank You for the support I have received in my first 6 months as a demo. Thanks Sam!

Wreaths appear to be a BIG trend this year when it comes to Christmas (or actually any holiday / event!), and Stampin’ Up! have an amazing Wreath stamp set (and matching framelits) which is just gorgeous, but I decided that I would make my own!
This card uses a Real Red Card base, with Old Olive and Whisper White Card matts. I used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack Flower punch to make the flowers for the wreath in Old Olive and Real Red, before arranging them in a sort of circle and attaching them using Glue Dots – Super Simple to make but really pretty
The sentiment is one from the Holiday Home stamp set (sorry, this stamp set is used a LOT in the coming weeks!)

I have mentioned my love of the Tag a Bag kits offered by Stampin’ Up! and this tag demonstrates perfectly why they are so great! The kit comes with 10 of these, for just £7.25! each present I send this year will have one of these – adding a nice tag means you can use really cheap wrapping paper and no one notices because they see the effort that has gone into the tag – except here it hasn’t taken any effort! perfect!
This tag uses one large tag base, a builder tag stamped in Early Espresso using the Trendy Trims stamps, an Early Espresso clothespin, and some Crumb Cake bakers twine!
Simple!

I LOVE Christmas! to be honest with you I love the build up to Christmas more than the day itself!
I particularly love Advent! Now, I don’t know if that is just because of the piles of Chocolate, or that it is part of the whole event that is Christmas!
So, this year, my first year of blogging, I thought I would make an Advent Calender! Next year, who know you may get some advent gifts, but this year, its a lovely project!
I loved making the Halloween Gift Treat bags in October, and thought they would make perfect little tree ornament (or advent chocolate hanging devices if you will!). And so made 24 miniature treat bags with the Stampin’ Up! Trim the Tree DSP stack (LOVE!!!), some bakers twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory kit!) and the Back to Basics Alphabet!
Measurements =
DSP – 3 1/2 x 4 1/2″ (9 x 12 cm) which is one of the pieces of the DSP from the Trim the Tree DSP stack cut in half!
Apply sticky strip to one end and both long sides, remove the backing from the sticky strip at the end and roll the DSP into a tube.
Then remove the backing from the sticky strip on one side and pinch together.
Insert your chocolate!
Remove the backing of the sticky strip on the other side and pinch together, at right angles to the other side.
Using a hole punch make a hole in one end and feed through your bakers twine, tying it in a knot to create a loop (so you can hang your treat pouch on the tree!).
Add numbers to each pouch by stamping the numbers 1 – 24 on cardstock (I used the Back to Basics Alphabet for this) and punching out with a 1″ circle punch.
Punch 24 1 1/4″ scallop circles and add one to the back of each number with a dimensionals.
Attach each number to a treat pouch with dimensionals.
James is super excited about opening each pouch to find the chocolate inside! (Yes, he’s 24! and my husband to be, and Yes, he is just a big kid! We love Christmas!)

The challenge this time is to make a project using Real Red, Hello Honey, and Crumb Cake, I’m super pleased with what I came up with.
For this card I used a Hello Honey card base, with a Very Vanilla card matt. I stamped the house image on Crumb Cake cardstock with Crumb cake ink, and cut it out (although I have ordered the framelits, they havent arrived yet!). I gold embossed the sentiment on a piece of Real Red cardstock.
I put the card together and it just looked plan. I’m generally a simple card maker, but it was too simple even for me! So I grabbed for my current ‘go to’ stamp set – Gorgeous Grunge, and stamped in Hello Honey, but it still just didn’t look complete. Bring on more Gold! I really love the look of Gold embossing, and I just think that bit of Gold splatter just proved to be the finishing touch!

Ok, so we’re getting to that point in the year when all those Brides start looking for Wedding Stationary (If you are one of those Brides BTW check out this page!), and so as crafters we are often called upon to make invitations, save the dates, thank you cards etc. etc.
This lovely Save the Date card uses a sentiment from Cheers to Love (lovely for wedding cards!), and some of the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.
The card base here is the Brushed Gold cardstock (Yum!) with a Whisper White piece. I first stamped the solid butterflies in Blushing Bride, before overstamping the detailed butterflies in Gold! The Sentiment is also stamped using the Gold Metallic Encore Ink.
The larger butterfly I stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White, in VersaMark, before embossing in Gold, and punching it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. Both the Whisper White stamped piece, and the large butterfly are added to the card base with dimensionals for that layered look.

Ok, So I thought I had finished Fancy Fold Friday (I’m planning on bringing it back soon, I just haven’t got round to making any Fancy Fold cards recently!), and then I found this on my desk.
I know that this really is cheating, but people are always so impressed with these cards, and they just look so complicated to make, but really they are so easy, and its all down to a die!
This card is created using the Circle Card Thinlit die. Stampin’ Up! have 3 of these ‘flip card’ creating dies at the moment, this circle one, a label one, and a great snowflake one! Each die comes with a number of other dies to create a great card. These dies are wonderful! Trying to made a ‘flip card’ by hand is a right pain! This die, not only cuts the card to the right size, but cuts the flip shape AND creates the score lines! and all I had to do was run it through my Big Shot!
To create this card I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to the slightly bigger than the Circle Card Thinlit die, and ran it though my Big Shot. I also grabbed the scallop circle die from the same die set and a piece of Old Olive cardstock, and ran that through the Big Shot too!
I couldnt make one of these cards without using my favourite Festival of Trees stamp set, this time stamped in Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Real Red. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, stamped in Real Red, and cut into a cute little banner.
The tricky bit of this card is cutting that DSP! The paper I have used here is from Santa and Co. (that one with the crazy dancing Santas!). To ensure that the DSP fits the card, I used the Circle Card Thinlit die again, but this time cut the DSP rather than cardstock. Then cut along the score lines to give me two pieces; one for the front and the other for the inside! Then its just a case of adding Snail adhesive and sticking it all together!
Over the next few weeks I will be revisiting some of my previous Fancy Fold cards, and adding videos! Like my Facebook page or Subscribe to my YouTube to stay up to date and get my latest projects straight away.
