Happy Birthday!

to me!

Before I get into the full post about my birthday card to myself (yes, today really is my birthday!), I just want to quickly remind you that today is the LAST DAY of the Autumn/Winter Catalogue AND the End of Year Clearance! But, tomorrow is the day the NEW catalogue launches! Yay!

So, today, is a little sneak peak of what is coming tomorrow!

Stampin' Up! UK Sale-a-bration 2015 Big Day Birthday Card

I love this card! I actually originally made it in Soft Sky and Night of Navy, but due to timing I had to give it away before I had photographed it 🙁 so, I made it again, this time in Pool Party and Marina Mist!

The Stamp set is Big Day, which you can choose as a FREE gift when you spend more than £45 from tomorrow (January 6th!) as part of Sale-a-bration. I stamped the sentiment from the set on Marina Mist in White Craft Ink. I love the look you get from this ink but its worth remembering that it takes an age to dry! But its just so pretty that I really don’t mind (but its no good for a card in a hurry!)

The polka dot background was created by stamping the large dot stamp from Work of Art in Pool Party onto a Pool Party cardbase.

Isn’t it lovely!

Right, that’s me done for the day, actually I’m writing this slightly ahead of time, I am probably currently in the middle of Ikea eating a 99p breakfast and shopping for my new office! Exciting!

See you all again tomorrow for the grand reveal of the new Stampin’ Up! UK Spring / Summer Catalogue 2015, AND the Start of Sale-A-Bration!

This gift card holder (or gift card card if you will) is super cool! I used this design to hold all the gift cards we gave as Christmas gifts.

Fold the card in half, and score both ends at 4 1/8″ (10.5cm)

Whisper White – 5 3/8 x 3 3/4″ (13.8 x 9.5 cm)

I have finished my version with stamping from Work of Art and Something to Say Stamp sets, in the 2014-2016 In-Colours.

Happy New Year!

This is likely to be a long post! be warned!

Firstly, Happy New Year! I hope its a good one!

Before we get into the project today, I am going to waffle about some important changes here at StampinByHannah!

StampinByHannah Rewards programme – I have decided to offer shopping gifts (in addition to any rewards from Stampin’ Up!) please check out the StampinByHannah Rewards page in the menu bar at the top (its under Shop NOW!). In a nutshell, I will be offering free gifts depending on your total amount spent with me, this means that you can order several orders and they will ALL count towards your rewards. I will be offering a sort of points system (think of a large supermarket chain!), and I will automatically send you your gifts when you reach each amount – some do require you to make a choice, but I will email you with all the information when you reach each marker.

– Sale-a-bration – Sale-a-bration starts next week on the 6th of January! keep watching for more information about FREE products and extra shopping offers!

– Facebook – Go over to StampinByHannah on facebook to make sure you stay up to date with all my personal offer and events!

– Events! – I am now holding monthly classes – please check out the Events page for my complete calender! all classes are also available in a virtual format if you are unable to attend.

Right, I think that’s all the notices for now, lets get to the card for today!

Any guesses on my inspiration here!

Stampin' Up! UK Petite Petals Pootles Gorgeous Grunge

I love petite petals! LOVE LOVE LOVE! and this stamp set combined with the matching punch and Rich Razzleberry just called out to me this week!

There is a stamped layer of Gorgeous Grunge on the Whisper White cardstock, and the flowers are added on top.

There are actually three different flowers here, one stamped on Whisper white, one on Rich Razzleberry and one plan with sponge edges – all using Rich Razzleberry ink! All the flowers are added with glue dots, and the sponged ones are finished with Candy Dot centres!

A super effective, super quick make!

Cute Cube Box Tutorial

Welcome to Tuesday’s at StampinByHannah!

I do hope to post 3D projects on a Tuesday, and as this is the first week of the (almost) new year, I thought I would start now!

Stampin' Up! UK lided cube box envelope punch board

This super cute box uses the Envelope Punch Board (available directly from me and Stampin’ Up!), and is a lovely little box with a separate lid.

This box took me a surprisingly long time to come up with (and a LOT of scrap paper!) but with the help of Craft Owl’s Box Buster I finally made it!

Measurements –

because the EPB works best in imperial I have only listed the imperial measurements

Base

– Cardstock – 6 1/2 x 6 1/2″

– punch and score at 1 7/8″ and again at 4 5/8″ and follow the score lines to punch and score on the other three sides

Lid

– Designer Series paper – 6 x 6″

– punch and score at 1 7/8″ and again at 4″ and follow the score lines to punch and score on the other three sides

I finished this box with some stamping from Something to Say, punched out with the Modern Label Punch, and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack

Hello!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I had a short blogging break over the weekend, but I am back and getting ready for the launch of the Spring/Summer catalogue next week! there are some really exciting things coming really soon.

I wanted to let you know that I have updated my blogging calender ready for the new year, and aim to post 2 cards and 2 3-d items a week, with a return of Fancy Fold Fridays, AND more video tutorials! yay!

So, without further ado, lets get to todays card!

Stampin' Up! UK Hello A Dozen Thoughts Pallion Potpourri

When I was planning for this week I thought I would set myself a challenge. So, I randomly selected four ink colours and two stamp sets with the aim of making a couple of cards for this weeks posts. This was the first card I made, using A Dozen Thoughts and Papillon Potpourri, with Gorgeous Grunge accents.

The ink colours I used were So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.

I have to say, I love the look of this card, but the colours wouldn’t have been my first choice of colour combinations. However, I think it works! That is one of the great things about Stampin’ Up! the colours are all designed to work together. Oh, and that the inks match the cardstock because the card base here is So Saffron too!

To finish I added some Candy dots to either side of the Sentiment (punched out with the Modern label punch), and gave the largest butterfly some bling!

A White Holiday Home….

This card uses two of my favourite stamp sets from the Autumn/Winter catalogue from Stampin’ Up! – White Christmas and Holiday Home

Stampin' Up! UK White Christmas Holiday Home

Like my last Holiday Home card I’ve used Night of Navy.

I only inked up half of the trees stamp from White Christmas, and stamped it next to the house from Holiday Home on a piece of Whisper White. The sentiment is also from Holiday Home and has been punched out with the Modern Label punch.

I thought I’d finished at that point, but it looked a little too plain (Yes, it is possible!), so I added the flying Santa stamp to the top left corner for a bit of interest. I’m not sure if there is still something missing here, what would you add?

Christmas Baubles!

I love Christmas (can you tell!) and one of my absolute favourite things is to customise my Christmas decorations. Each year I add something crafty to my home. A couple of years ago I made my own Christmas wreath, but this year I found some Baubles in Home Bargains perfect for customising!

Stampin' Up! UK Christmas Baubles

These baubles (£3.99 for 4) are designed for putting your families photos in, but they are also great for using with  scraps of cardstock and stamps!

My Christmas Tree has a colour scheme (yes, I’m one of those people, it has to match AND I’ll know if you moved something on it!), and for the last couple of years my Tree has been covered in Purple and Silver baubles (no other ornaments need bother!). So, when it came time to make my bauble inserts there was only one colour for me! Blackberry Bliss!

Unfortunately, when I measured the bauble inserts that came with the baubles, the piece needed was 2 and 5/8″ (a size Stampin’ Up don’t have in a punch), so I used my electronic die cutter to cut the circles. The stamps I used are Holiday Home (and the matching Framelits), and Festival of Trees.

They look awesome on my tree!

You’re a Whole Lot of Wonderful!

I’m taking a little break from Christmas cards today, to bring you a card using the amazing Stampin’ Blendabilities!

I just love the Stampin’ Blendabilities; colouring in is just so therapeutic (I think its something about being in touch with my inner-child!)

Stampin' Up! Vivid Vases Wonderful Blendabilities

The Vivid Vases stamp is just perfect for your Blendability colouring. It has large open areas, perfect for blending and shading with markers (or any other medium you may choose).

I just love this stamp, its just so simple, but makes a great card front – no fussy required! and the sentiment is part of the stamp

This card is a Rich Razzleberry Card base, with a mat of Pear Pizzazz Subtles Collection Designer Series paper.

The Vivid Vases is stamped on Whisper White cardstock (for great blending when colouring with your Blendabilities!). I kept the colouring really simple here; the Rich Razzleberry assortment, Old Olive and Coastal Cabana. I haven’t even worked hard to get the perfect blend, and still the card looks amazing!

There are a number of great things about the Stampin’ Blendabilities; they are square so they dont roll off your desk, the caps are coloured for easy marker identification, your markers have both brush and felt tips for easy colouring, and they come in packs of three coordinating colours for super easy blending! There are loads more benefits to these alcohol markers, why not grab a set and try them out!

12 Tags of Christmas – All is Calm at this Festival!

We are at week 10 of our 12 tags of Christmas! That means there is only another 2 weeks to go! eeek! better get to Christmas shopping!

Stampin' Up! Uk All is Calm Festival of Trees

This tag is a 2 x 6″ piece of All is Calm DSP, punched at one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

Stampin' Up! UK Letterpress Christmas tag

I love the colour of this paper, its Pear Pizzazz. So, my tree is the same, with Lost Lagoon accents / baubles. I have also stamped the star from Festival of Trees in Lost Lagoon, and then added some of rhinestones. Can you tell there are a few in a different colour, that because I’ve used the darkest Old Olive Blendabilities marker again! (LOVE!)

This tag is finished with some of the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon.

Gorgeous!

A Gift for you….

I have a series of posts for you for the last few Fridays before Christmas; and they are all little boxes perfect for table favours or stocking treats!

The first of these posts is an Envelope Punch Board project designed to hold a Galaxy Gift for You!

Stampin' Up! UK Galaxy Gift For You Chocolate DSP

The original box uses the All is Calm DSP (its just so pretty), and the stamp is from the Hello There Hostess Stamp Set. The red version uses the Under the Tree Speciality Designer Series Paper and the same stamp set.

Measurements: The Envelope punch board works best in imperial so they are the measurements I will use:

Cardstock measures : 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″

Make the first punch and score at: 2 3/4″ and the second at: 3 1/2″

Use these first score lines as a guide to make the punch and scores on the other 3 sides

Cut away the little squares formed by the Punch board

Fold together around your chocolate and use Glue dots to hold together

Hope you enjoyed this project
