3 weeks ago Stampin’ Up! released the 2018 Annual Catalogue…. and this month the team and I have got together to swap cards using new products! I LOVE swapping, particularly with the team, they always have fabulous ideas and swaps are a great way to get some quick inspiration.

I made 7 swap cards… 5 for my swap group, 1 for the lovely Amanda who coordinates our team swaps and one for my team leader too.

Make it monday Rooted in Nature Stampin' Up! Team Swap Card Video Tutorial

I am absolutely LOVING this bundle! I shared THIS fun miniature card using it a few weeks ago on a Facebook Live… but I just couldn’t resist using it again for these team swaps!

I’ve been playing with the new Stampin’ Up! Embossing Mats again too… I shared a fun video on Friday that used a die designed to cut for embossing, but today’s card uses the dies in the Nature’s Roots that are Designed to emboss. They work using a standard Big Shot cutting sandwich… but they are even better if you use the new Embossing Mats!

InspireInk Blog Hop | Creating a fabulous BIG Birthday Card…

Big Birthday Card using Happy Birthday Thinlit from Stampin' Up! for the InspireINK blog Hop

StampinByHannah InspireInk Blog Hop Creating a fabulous BIG Birthday Card…

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Ok, so this month’s InspireINK blog hop theme was Milestone Birthdays… and while I love a good milestone, I don’t have ANY in my family or friends this year. I think that the next person to celebrate a birthday in our family will be 34 (or maybe 35…. I can’t remember!). Anyway…. I sort of changed Milestone for BIG…. and so this card was created…

Monotone Mint Birthday Card using the Sequin Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

I haven’t used Happy Birthday Thinlit die in a while… but I am so glad it’s carried forward into the new Annual Catalogue, it just makes some really simple, but really effective birthday cards. Here I’ve die cut it 4 times; 3 time from Very Vanilla card stock, and once from a piece of Mint Macaron card stock that I had added some ink blending to. I have to add that I did pop some Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheet onto the back of the card stock before I die cut it… just makes stacking these die cuts SO much easier!

Mint Macaron Sequin Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! products

I put a heap of sequins into one of my recent Stampin’ Up! orders…. I LOVE sequins on cards, and self-adhesive ones are just fantastic! Then I remembered that I had grabbed the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder to an order a while ago, and hadn’t used it (I know, it’s shocking isn’t it!) and so I ripped the plastic off it, and ran it through my Big Shot…. for a completely Sequined card!

I can’t wait to see what the other girls in the InspireINK team have created for this challenge…. why not hop along with me and find out!

Techniques | How to Emboss using Stampin’ Up! dies…

How to make a fun floral Kindness card and Emboss with dies using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Techniques How to Emboss using Stampin’ Up! dies…

Stamping Techniques Series

Hello! I haven’t done a proper Techniques post in AGES! But, I have a couple coming up for you, because we have a really cool new tool that works with the Big Shot… and i just cannot get enough!

How to emboss with Stampin' Up! dies Video Tutorial using Springtime Impressions from Stampin' Up!

One of the many new and fabulous items in this years Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue is the Big Shot Embossing Mats. They come in a pack of 3, and work with the Stampin’ Up! Big Shot Platform to allow you to create some really cool embossed effects using your cutting and embossing dies. The Springtime Impressions die I’ve used on this card is designed to cut… and actually I have already used it that way on THIS card from Tuesday… but it looks AMAZING embossed!

Check the video to see how easy it is to do…

There are several Big Shot sandwiches that work to emboss your dies, and which one you will use depends on what kind of die you are using…. I have another one on Monday using some of the embossing dies.

This card used the following:

  • Big Shot Platform (without the Thin Die Adaptor)
  • Standard Cutting Plate
  • Die (cutting side up)
  • Card stock
  • BLUE Embossing Mat
  • White Impressions Plate

Fun Floral embossed Kindness Card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

I couldn’t not add a bit of stamping though using the coordinating Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. I LOVE that this stamp set comes bundled with these dies, they are so cool and work so perfectly together even though the dies don’t actually cut any of the stamped images. PLUS by buying the bundle you save 10%…. that’s a win win in my book!

Go for Greece | Pretty Floral card with Abstract Impressions

Fun Floral Thank You card using Springtime Impressions from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Go for Greece Pretty Floral card with Abstract Impressions

Go for Greece Blog Hop

Oh Man! I cannot believe I managed to miss this blog hop last month! May totally killed me…. I’m blaming the settling in period of this new job, but really I think it just slipped my mind. It’s ok though because I’m back this month, and I have new goodies to share with you to!

Tomorrow I’m sharing the goodies I got in my first Annual Catalogue order with the lovely people who have subscribed to my weekly Stampin’ Inspiration emails, but I’ll give you a little sneaky peak….

Create a fun floral card using dies and Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

Last week the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team made some awesome card with the new Abstract Impressions bundle…. and I took inspiration from a few of their creations in the making of this one. My video tutorial on Friday also uses this fab bundle, for a really cool technique!

I LOVE the bundles in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue… Did you know, that if you buy a bundle you save 10% over buying the stamps and dies separately? I think that is totally awesome. So far I have collected a fair few of the bundles in the new catalogue, and I am sure that there will be some more finding a space in my craft room shortly too!

Fun Floral Thank You card using Springtime Impressions from Stampin' Up!

This pretty floral card also uses one of my favourite new colours; Lovely Lipstick is one of the 2018-2020 In Colours. These colours only stick around for 2 years, before they are retired and replaced. This helps to keep the Stampin’ Up! colour line really fresh and on trend…. but this colour has quickly become a true favourite, and I just KNOW that I’ll be stocking up on card stock and re-inkers soon!

The large corner die from the Springtime Impressions dies (part of that bundle!) was cut from a piece of Very Vanilla card stock that I had popped some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet on the back off. Once it was cut I added colour using Stampin’ Sponges for this fun effect.

Go for Greece Blog Hop pretty floral card using Abstract Impressions from Stampin' Up!

The background is stamped in Blushing Bride, and then I have added some details in Gold…. oh and that pretty Heat Embossed sentiment too!

Check out the creations of some of the other ladies in the Go for Greece group below….

Inspire.Create.Challenges #020…. take 2 In Every Season!

Fun Floral Thank You Card using In Every Season from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges #020…. take 2 In Every Season

So, earlier this week I shared a card I made for Inspire.Create.Challenge #020…. and I promised that I would share the first card I made too….

How to make a fun floral thank you card using In Every Season from Stampin' Up!

This card uses the new stamp set In Every Season. This set has now sentiments, but features 12 seasonal floral images… that work for all year round, as well as for particular events and seasons, like Christmas!

I’ve been playing around with colour a little bit recently… thanks to the Stampin’ Up! Colour Re-vamp… and this colour combination is one that came out of nowhere; Blackberry Bliss, Powder Pink, and Mossy Meadow

Inspire.Create.Challenges In Every Season Floral Thank You Card using Stampin' Up! products

The sentiment is taken from Perennial Birthday, and I’ve heat embossed it in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

This card is finished with a bow in Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine.

Stamparatus 101 | Stamping on 12 x 12 Card Stock…

Fun Stamped Scrapbook page using Flower stamps from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Stamparatus 101 Stamping on 12 x 12 Card Stock…

Stampin' Up! Stamping Positioning Tool Stamparatus

Ok… so this week’s Stamparatus 101 video was inspired by a question I was asked by a viewer on YouTube; How do you stamp on 12 x 12?

I hope that the video answers the question… but I also have a fun Scrapbook page for you to!

This page came together really quickly, partly because instead of measuring and carefully cutting each layer I chose to rip the card stock and Designer Series Paper…. but also because I wanted to focus on that stamping in the background.

How to use the Stamparatus to stamp on 12 x 12 card stock with Stampin' Up!

The video tutorial shows exactly how I used the Stamparatus to create this fun stamped effect… but I used the Petal Palette Stamp set, along with two new purple tones; Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, to pick up on some of the purple tones in the photograph

Tips:

  • Test stamp on an old piece of Designer Series Paper, or cut down Grid Paper before you stamp on your good card stocks
  • Try turning the card stock to create different looks and patterns using stamps
  • Use a mixture of stamping techniques to create depth and texture

Petal Palette Scrapbook Page video tutorial using Stampin' Up! products

I have a heap of crafty plans for tomorrow… what are you crafting this weekend?

Inspire.Create.Challenges Sketch Challenge Tree Thank You Card using Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Ok, so I have a confession… this is the second card I made for this challenge (I plan to share the other one with you on Saturday!)… but this one is my favourite! This happens to me often, when I make a card for an occasion, go away, fall out of love with it and make something else! I’m sure I’m not the only person this happens to!

I do have a bit of an obsession with the Rooted in Nature bundle…. but I’m not apologising for sharing it with you! This bundle HAS to be one of my top picks from the new Stampin’ Up! 2018 Annual Catalogue!

Thank you card using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

This large tree in particular is one of my favourite pieces, along with it’s coordinating die! I’ve kept the colour combination simple; with Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.
