One of my favourite tasks is writing my customer emails! I send at least 2 emails every single week; my Monday email always contains an Exclusive video tutorial (or sometimes a PDF, depending on how much time I have!), and my Thursday email usually has a round up of my blog projects from the previous week, plus news and notes too. The card I am sharing with you today was sent out on a Monday a few weeks ago, and my email subscribers got an Exclusive video tutorial to go with it!
Do you want to sign up to my emails? There are several ways to do this….1) add your email address to the Pink Bar at the top of the screen, 2) add your name and email to the form in my sidebar (or at the bottom of the page!) 3) Complete this form….
This card has a fun colour combination, totally inspired by the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper with coordinates with the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp set. I am using this fabulous stamp set and the Designer Series Paper, plus a heap of embellishments in this years Birthday Card Club! If you haven’t signed up yet you have until the 7th January.
There are some more sneaky peaks on this card than just this fabulous Stamp set…. have you spotted the fun shimmery ribbon? That will be available from the 3rd January, and will be FREE with an order of £45 or more as part of Sale-a-bration! I LOVE Sale-a-bration, and this year is bigger and better than ever before… I cannot wait to share more about that in the coming weeks.

Hello! So, today see’s the return of my Techniques Series following the completion of my Christmas Countdown a couple of weeks ago! I LOVE doing these techniques videos, they are often as much learning for me as they are for you… particularly this one, which I have now filmed twice! I might share the other card with you at some point, but it was very similar to THIS one I made for a blog hop a couple of months ago.
This fun card uses the Swirly Scribbles dies and the Daisy Delight Stamp set from the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue. The Die Cut Letterpress technique works best with bright, fun colours and I have used Lemon Lime Twist and Calypso Coral here today.
Die Cut Letterpress Tips and Tricks:
Practice! This technique is one of those that might take a couple of attempts to get right… play around with the number of layers of card stock you need to get your desired embossing depth
Remember that when you stack your die cuts you need to ensure you have a layer of Vellum on the bottom as this will help transfer your ink later on
Use fun dies to create your letterpress…. my favourites for this technique are the Swirly Scribbles, Eclectic Layers, and Lovely Words
Can you believe that the layer of Vellum is held on with Fast Fuse! Isn’t it cool that you cant see it!
Before I go, do check out the End of Year Sale, particularly for those Black Rhinestones as they are retiring on the 2nd January and I don’t want you to miss them!

StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday Butterfly Basics Get Well Soon Card
So, Thoughtful Thursday is basically part of my Stampin’ Up! new years resolutions; send more cards! I make literally hundreds of cards every year, and half of them never leave my office, and that NEEDS to change! (Because I am running out of room!). So, I have started to try and be more organised and make more cards for specific people, that I can send…. and this card is one of those!
So, this card was made for my lovely friend Charley who has been in hospital recently. I really hope that I manage to get this card posted before this blog post goes live! One of my absolute all time Stampin’ Up! favourite stamp sets is Butterfly Basics, but I haven’t managed to use it much recently…. that is until I spotted another card made using it on Facebook a few weeks ago!
The flowers in the background are stamped twice; once using Whisper White Craft ink for a subtle effect, then a second time in Versamark that was then heat embossed using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
The sentiment is also heat embossed in White, and the card finished with a cute bow using the super soft Classic Weave Ribbon in Crumb Cake.

Now we are fast approaching Christmas, I am sure you are ‘over’ seeing heaps of Christmas crafts all over the place! So, what is the next big event we make cards for? Valentines? I am planning to give you HEAPS of valentines ideas over the coming month or so, and while pretty pink cards are lovely, my husband wont want one! But he might like this…
There are lots of layers going on on this card, but I’m still keeping things generally simple, and quick to make…
Sunflower stamped in So Saffron
Trio of leaves; stamped in Crumb cake and then stamped again for a dimensional effect
Dots stamped in Tranquil Tide
Trio of leaves stamped in Old Olive and punched out using the Leaf Punch
Loops of Gold Metallic Thread
A banner in Crumb Cake
The Sentiment taken from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamped in Old Olive and die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits
Painted Harvest is carrying over into the new Spring Summer catalogue, but the bundle of the stamp set and the Leaf Punch is retiring on the 2nd January. Bundles are great, 1. because they are contain multiple products under one item number for easy ordering, but also because when you buy a bundle you save 10% (compared to if you bought the items separately). So, grab the Painted Harvest Bundle soon to save the fabulous 10%!

I have a super cute video tutorial for you today! One of my favourite Christmas traditions is planning my gift wrapping, and these would make really sweet gift wrap for a special present.
These are super quick and simple to make… even the video is only 6 minutes long! I have used the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper for both of these bags. This paper really did not shout ‘buy me’ when I saw it in the catalogue, but I got a sample in a Paper Share (more on those coming soon!) and feel in love with some of the B sides! It is always worth remembering that there are two sides to a piece of paper.
Measurements:
Designer Series Paper; 12 x 6″ (30.5 x 15 cm)
Score on the long side at 5-1/2 and 11″ (14 and 28 cm)
Score on the short side at 1″ (2.5 cm)
I grab two stamp sets for the sweet tags on these bags. The black bag has a tag using Christmas Pines, while the green one uses You’re So Sweet. Both bags are closed with one of my MUST HAVE products, the Gold Library Clips. Right, I’m off to buy more clips! See you again tomorrow for more fun Stampin’ Up! projects

This weeks Inspire.Create.Challenge has a festive feel, however, I made a very conscious decision NOT to make a Christmas card this week. Partly because I have made more Christmas cards this year than I have people to send them too, and partly because tomorrow is the LAST day to shop Stampin’ Up! to ensure your goodies arrive before the man in the red suit, and so I would expect that you have probably finished making this years cards too!
Keeping things pretty simple this week… I’m sure we have enough to do without making complicated cards too. So, it’s an almost one layer affair with a Big ol’ sentiment and some accent stamping!
I love this type of card for a quick ‘thinking of you’ or ‘thank you’ card. I thought this would be perfect for a simple Valentines, or even a sympathy card. There are lots of times we send Love… and why not send it handmade!
All the stamps here are from the Lots of Love stamp set. I am LOVING big sentiments at the moment, ones that fill the front of your card and make sending that handmade Love really quick and easy. Once that sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake, it’s a simple case of adding leaves and flowers in the other colours in key areas. When I’m accent stamping like this, I tend to go for 3 groups of stamped images, the same way I do when I’m added embellishments. The eye loves a trio of things, and it helps to pull you around the card too.
We would LOVE to see what you do with this colour combination, check out the other Design Team members creations over at Inspire.Create.Challenges!

StampinByHannah International Blog Highlights All About Flowers
I had so much fun taking part in Kylie’s International Blog Highlight last month, that I knew I just HAD to do it again! This month’s challenge is ‘All About Flowers’ and while I have a small mountain of flower stamps, I have chosen to grab my favourite; Birthday Blooms.
I stamped the big bloom in Basic Grey onto Whisper White card stock, then sponged Fresh Fig ink over the bottom left hand corner before die cutting the whole thing using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I don’t know about you, but I seriously can NOT put these away! They are most definitely one of my most used products in 2017.
The flower is the main focus of this card, and so I tried to keep the rest of the card pretty simple. I love the hearts boarder stamp, but I can sometimes struggle to actually use it! Here it is stamped in Powder Pink. I stamped the sentiment, and put the card together, but it felt just a little plain. So, I added some Basic Grey splatter with a Stampin’ Write Marker.
I hope that you have enjoyed your visit to StampinByHannah today. Please do take a moment to sign up for my twice weekly inspirational emails, or subscribe to my blog, and I hope to see you again soon
