Christmas Baubles!

I love Christmas (can you tell!) and one of my absolute favourite things is to customise my Christmas decorations. Each year I add something crafty to my home. A couple of years ago I made my own Christmas wreath, but this year I found some Baubles in Home Bargains perfect for customising!

Stampin' Up! UK Christmas Baubles

These baubles (£3.99 for 4) are designed for putting your families photos in, but they are also great for using with  scraps of cardstock and stamps!

My Christmas Tree has a colour scheme (yes, I’m one of those people, it has to match AND I’ll know if you moved something on it!), and for the last couple of years my Tree has been covered in Purple and Silver baubles (no other ornaments need bother!). So, when it came time to make my bauble inserts there was only one colour for me! Blackberry Bliss!

Unfortunately, when I measured the bauble inserts that came with the baubles, the piece needed was 2 and 5/8″ (a size Stampin’ Up don’t have in a punch), so I used my electronic die cutter to cut the circles. The stamps I used are Holiday Home (and the matching Framelits), and Festival of Trees.

They look awesome on my tree!

12 Tags of Christmas – Presents for you!

Its week 11 on our tour of 12 Tags of Christmas! I have so enjoyed doing these posts, and will be sad to end, but…. there is a whole heap of super awesome things coming in the new year!!!

Stampin' Up! UK Tag Presents for you

Our tag for today uses the Nordic Noel DSP, one piece for the 2×6″ tag and one where I have fussy cut the present images!  Two of the 3 presents are popped up on dimensionals, super simple!

I totally missed off the top of this tag (oops!) but its punched with my favourite Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and has some of the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon.

See you again next week for the last tag in this series, Which one has been your favourite?

You’re a Whole Lot of Wonderful!

I’m taking a little break from Christmas cards today, to bring you a card using the amazing Stampin’ Blendabilities!

I just love the Stampin’ Blendabilities; colouring in is just so therapeutic (I think its something about being in touch with my inner-child!)

Stampin' Up! Vivid Vases Wonderful Blendabilities

The Vivid Vases stamp is just perfect for your Blendability colouring. It has large open areas, perfect for blending and shading with markers (or any other medium you may choose).

I just love this stamp, its just so simple, but makes a great card front – no fussy required! and the sentiment is part of the stamp

This card is a Rich Razzleberry Card base, with a mat of Pear Pizzazz Subtles Collection Designer Series paper.

The Vivid Vases is stamped on Whisper White cardstock (for great blending when colouring with your Blendabilities!). I kept the colouring really simple here; the Rich Razzleberry assortment, Old Olive and Coastal Cabana. I haven’t even worked hard to get the perfect blend, and still the card looks amazing!

There are a number of great things about the Stampin’ Blendabilities; they are square so they dont roll off your desk, the caps are coloured for easy marker identification, your markers have both brush and felt tips for easy colouring, and they come in packs of three coordinating colours for super easy blending! There are loads more benefits to these alcohol markers, why not grab a set and try them out!

Tiny Tealight Box

Hello!

Welcome to another little box post!

This time, I have created a teeny tiny box for two tealights (ikea ones), ready for your Christmas tables / party favours etc.

Stampin' Up! UK Tiny Tealight Box

They are just so sweet!

Both boxes use the Trim the Tree designer series paper stack, I love these paper! I have used this stack for so many things (including my advent calender!). Each sheet measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2″, and the stack contains 48 sheets, and 24 different patterns!

Measurements:

Sorry the metric measurements are so exact, but its all down to the tealights 🙁

Cardstock = 6 1/2 x 4 1/2″ (thats one sheet of the dsp!) (11.4 x 16.5 cm)

Score on the long side at: 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, and 6″ (3.8, 7.6, 11.4 and 15.2 cm)

Score on the short side at: 1 1/2 and 3″ (3.8 and 7.6 cm)

12 Tags of Christmas – All is Calm at this Festival!

We are at week 10 of our 12 tags of Christmas! That means there is only another 2 weeks to go! eeek! better get to Christmas shopping!

Stampin' Up! Uk All is Calm Festival of Trees

This tag is a 2 x 6″ piece of All is Calm DSP, punched at one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

Stampin' Up! UK Letterpress Christmas tag

I love the colour of this paper, its Pear Pizzazz. So, my tree is the same, with Lost Lagoon accents / baubles. I have also stamped the star from Festival of Trees in Lost Lagoon, and then added some of rhinestones. Can you tell there are a few in a different colour, that because I’ve used the darkest Old Olive Blendabilities marker again! (LOVE!)

This tag is finished with some of the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon.

Gorgeous!

A Gift for you….

I have a series of posts for you for the last few Fridays before Christmas; and they are all little boxes perfect for table favours or stocking treats!

The first of these posts is an Envelope Punch Board project designed to hold a Galaxy Gift for You!

Stampin' Up! UK Galaxy Gift For You Chocolate DSP

The original box uses the All is Calm DSP (its just so pretty), and the stamp is from the Hello There Hostess Stamp Set. The red version uses the Under the Tree Speciality Designer Series Paper and the same stamp set.

Measurements: The Envelope punch board works best in imperial so they are the measurements I will use:

Cardstock measures : 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″

Make the first punch and score at: 2 3/4″ and the second at: 3 1/2″

Use these first score lines as a guide to make the punch and scores on the other 3 sides

Cut away the little squares formed by the Punch board

Fold together around your chocolate and use Glue dots to hold together

Hope you enjoyed this project

A non-traditional Festival of Trees

Hello there!

I am sure you are all well aware by now of my LOVE of the Festival of Trees stamp set, and most of my Christmas Cards this year feature it, today I want to share a non-traditional colour scheme with you.

Stampin' Up! UK Festival of trees

This card is Tempting Turquoise and Very Vanilla. The tree is stamped in Pear Pizzazz, with Rich Razzleberry accents. I just thing this is such a cute (almost) one layer card!

Sorry for such a short post today, back to normal scheduled posting tomorrow (with an awesome video tutorial)

See you then

Holiday Home

Its been a little crazy round here for the past couple of weeks (holidays, Stampin’ Up! events, Christmas fayres, and I’m working a 44 hour week this week) So, today’s card is simple!

Stampin' Up! UK Holiday Home Night of Navy

I just love Night of Navy, its just so rich and expensive looking – without doing anything to it! So, I’ve kept this card simple to really show off that gorgeous colour!

The stamp set is Holiday Home (I will be so sad to see this one leave!) Stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White cardstock!

One of the many things I love about these stamps is that they are Photopolymer, and have loads of little accent pieces and details. The houses are super cute on their own, but add a string of Christmas lights, or a holiday wreath, or a heart, and they shine! And because they are photopolymer, lining up those images is really really easy!

yay!
