September Customer Thank You Cards using Warmth and Cheer from Stampin' Up! UK

One of my favourite days of the month is the first, this is the day of the month I grab all your orders from Stampin’ Up! and make each and every one of you a Thank You card (and sometimes even an extra something!). Your orders are processed once you place them, that is all handled by Stampin’ Up! but I love to send you an extra special something when you choose me as your demonstrator.

I have been loving playing with our Designer Series Paper recently (as you may have noticed!) and although this particular pack isn’t included in the Fabulous Buy 3 Get 1 Free offer, I still think it is gorgeous! and you can get a sample of it in my Paper Share this week!

Warmth and Cheer Thank You cards Stampin' Up! UkWarmth and Cheer is a cute mixture of traditional Christmas, meets the current crafting obsession for anything stitched! But my favourite sheets in this 6 x 6 paper stack are these 3, simple Crumb Cake and Black in patterns that really, could be used for any occasion (loving those stars!)

The Thank You is taken from a bigger stamp in the Me = Grateful stamp set, the stamp usually reads ‘Thank You for seeing me through some Dark Days’ but I’ve used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to just ink the ‘Thank You’ – isn’t that font just lovely!

Stampin' Up! UK World Map Me = grateful

I’ve been using the World Map background stamp a lot recently, particularly for men’s cards, but I wanted to glam it up a bit and see if I could make it a little more feminine.  I think I’ve managed it!

Stampin' Up! UK World Map Me = grateful

I mean, you can’t add Melon Mambo Stitched Satin Ribbon to something and it NOT look girly, right?!

The World map is stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto Very Vanilla card stock, and the sentiment from Me = Grateful is in Melon Mambo. I’ve punched out the sentiment using the 1 3/4″ Scallop circle punch and added a piece of that gorgeous Stitched Satin ribbon and some loops of Thick Bakers Twine in Very Vanilla

Technique Tuesday | Spotlight Stamping

Stampin' Up! UK Technique Tuesday Awesomely Artisitic

I spotted a card using this technique on a Facebook group a few weeks ago, and I’m really super sorry that I can’t remember who it was, so if it was you – please comment below so I can give you credit!

Oh yes, I’ve been using Awesomely Artistic again! this time I’ve paired it with Me = Grateful to make some lovely Thank You cards.

How to:

Using Awesomely Artistic, stamp the background of the card using a pale ink. I’ve used Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla, and Smoky Slate on Whisper White here, stamped off once

Add you sentiment using Me = Grateful

On a scrap piece of card stock, the same colour as your background piece stamp the background image again, this time in full strength ink. I have stamped the floral arrangement in Sahara Sand or Smokey Slate, and the added the Dragonfly in a bold colour.

The trick here is to carefully stamp the dragonfly so the images line up with the background piece when you’ve punched them out.

Stampin' Up! UK Me = Grateful Market Fresh

I had so much fun making this card! Would you like to join me and make some fun cards next month? On the 9th of September I am holding my monthly Technique Class, and this time we are using Me = Grateful to make 3 lovely cards

Stampin' Up! UK Me = Grateful Farmers Market

I have recently discovered how much fussy cutting I actually do! For all I say I don’t cut anything out at all, ever, it actually appears that I fussy cut quite often. This card features a really cute fussy cut pear from the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper.

That wonderful sentiment is stamped directly onto another piece of the same Designer Series Paper in Watermelon Wonder, with some neutral Candy Dots to finish

Everything Eleanor

Stampin' Up! UK Everything Eleanor Thank you card

Unless you are brand new here you will know that my Wedding is fast approaching (actually, its on Saturday!!!!) and I have been busy making Thank You cards, gifts and boxes like a mad woman for weeks (and months!), but I have also been super busily working away on some really cool things that are going to be going on on my blog and my Facebook page while I’m away; including my Free On-line Workshop for August!

Seeing as when the workshop goes live I will be lying on a beach on my honeymoon, I thought I would share some of my Wedding related projects this month; thank you cards, my Wedding favours that sort of thing. While I was playing around with stamps and ink, and planning the workshop this card appeared as if by crafty magic on my desk.

Stampin' Up! UK Everything Eleanor Thank you cardThis card uses two stamp sets actually – Everything Eleanor which I will be featuring in that On-line Workshop, and Me = Grateful (also coming to some classes near you soon!)

The swirl from Everything Eleanor is stamped in Elegant Eggplant onto Whisper White card stock, and matted onto a card base of Elegant Eggplant too. That ‘Thank You’ sentiment is gorgeous isn’t it? It actually is part of a bigger stamp in the Me = Grateful Stamp set, the whole stamp says – Thank You for seeing me through some dark days…’ – and while that is lovely, it isn’t really appropriate for our Wedding themed card. There are two ways of stamping part of a sentiment stamp – both of which is use often – either; mask off part of the stamp with Washi tape or a Sticky note, or grab for your marker pens! Well, this sentiment is heat embossed in Gold, and while our Stampin’ Up!® inks do hold embossing powder, I grabbed my Versamark pen (unfortunately not sold by SU, but you can find it HERE) and just inked the part of the stamp I wanted.

A super quick and simple, elegant Thank You card.
