Stampin' Up! Uk White Christmas Watercolour Video tutorial

This is another one of those stamp sets that carried over from last years Autumn/Winter release, and I am so pleased I just love it! The new Autumn / Winter catalogue goes live on Tuesday! I have posted out catalogues to those who received a Annual one, but if you haven’t got yours yet, let me know by requesting on using the button at the top of the page!

How cute is this polar bear! I masked him off and applied a watercolour wash of Soft Sky to get this cute watercolour card. Check out the video below for full details

What do you think? I’m loving that pop of Pear Pizzazz myself!

Christmas Countdown | Santa’s Gifts!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Countdown Santa's Gifts

Ok, so have you started on your Christmas cards yet? No?! well, don’t worry because this coming week I will be sending out a small mountain of Autumn/Winter Catalogues – let me know that you want one by adding your name to the list!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Countdown Santa's Gifts

This card however, uses a stamp set you can get your hands on right now! have you found the Christmas section of the Annual Catalogue, it is AWESOME! I love this cute Santa, carrying a present or a candy cane! This stamp set also features a sweet little Rudolph I just can’t wait to use!

I’m sorry if this video was a little odd. I did some editing on this one (unusual for me) and I was trying out a new editing programme, think I will be returning to my normal editing suite next week!

Stampin' Up! Santa's Gifts

I have coloured Santa in here using my Stampin’ Write markers in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Smokey Slate, Basic Black and Garden Green. I don’t even attempt blending with my markers, instead I just add a bit of a darker colour to create some shadow – nice, simple colouring in!

Christmas Countdown | Festival of Trees

Stampin' Up! UK Festival of Trees Video Tutorial

Did you know we have a whole section of Christmas crafty goodies in the Annual Catalogue this year, AND the Autumn/Winter catalogue launches on the 1st September (its good, I’ve seen it!) So, even though its August, there is now excuse for getting a head start on those Christmas Cards!

Stampin' Up! UK Festival of Trees Video Tutorial

I am so pleased this stamp set has carried over into our Annual Catalogue this year, it was definitely one of my most used sets of last Christmas – There is actually a whole weeks worth of projects on this stamp set around here somewhere – one day I might be able to work out how to link them all for you, but for now, I suggest a quick search in my search bar for Festival of Trees should come up with a decent number of results!

How To:

Select your tree stamp and three tones of Green ink. I have used Pear Pizzazz, Cucumber Crush and Mossy Meadow here.

Ink up your tree stamp with the lightest ink and stamp.

Then ink the same stamp with the next darkest ink colour, using a micro-fibre cloth (or a kitchen roll or similar) wipe away the ink on the very edges of the tree – the tips of the branches. Festival of Trees is a photopolymer stamp set and so lining up your images over the top of each other is really simple, but you could use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to help you.

Then take the darkest ink colour, ink up your stamp again, but this time wipe away all but the centre of the tree, stamp over the top of the previous to create a wonderfully dimensional tree.

Vellum!!! oh and a 3D project!

Ok, I have a confession to make. I have a problem. I (along with James) cannot leave anything Complimentary in a hotel room!

Recently I had a night away with James, really it was a Stampin’ Up! event, but we turned it into a romantic mid-week break. I love staying in hotels, and seeing as we haven’t had a holiday in a couple of years , we take mini-breaks instead.

But every time we stay away we come home with the hotel complimentary toiletries!

I try and use them up in the gym, but James challenged me to make a bag / box to put them in this time, and seeing as its almost Christmas, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a similar problem, I though you could make these as pillow gifts for you house guests over the festive season!

These are super cute! Don’t you love vellum! and metallic ribbon! These use the Satin Ribbon in Gold and Silver!

Measurements:

Score on the long side at – 1 3/4, 4 1/4, 6, and 8 1/2 (

DISCLAIMER – I hold no responsibility for any damage caused by anyone using my Satin Ribbon Top Tip! Use this tip with GREAT care, and hold your ribbon as far away from any cardstock/paper/vellum or any other material as you can! Never leave a lighter with a child!

A White Holiday Home….

This card uses two of my favourite stamp sets from the Autumn/Winter catalogue from Stampin’ Up! – White Christmas and Holiday Home

Stampin' Up! UK White Christmas Holiday Home

Like my last Holiday Home card I’ve used Night of Navy.

I only inked up half of the trees stamp from White Christmas, and stamped it next to the house from Holiday Home on a piece of Whisper White. The sentiment is also from Holiday Home and has been punched out with the Modern Label punch.

I thought I’d finished at that point, but it looked a little too plain (Yes, it is possible!), so I added the flying Santa stamp to the top left corner for a bit of interest. I’m not sure if there is still something missing here, what would you add?

Christmas Baubles!

I love Christmas (can you tell!) and one of my absolute favourite things is to customise my Christmas decorations. Each year I add something crafty to my home. A couple of years ago I made my own Christmas wreath, but this year I found some Baubles in Home Bargains perfect for customising!

Stampin' Up! UK Christmas Baubles

These baubles (£3.99 for 4) are designed for putting your families photos in, but they are also great for using with  scraps of cardstock and stamps!

My Christmas Tree has a colour scheme (yes, I’m one of those people, it has to match AND I’ll know if you moved something on it!), and for the last couple of years my Tree has been covered in Purple and Silver baubles (no other ornaments need bother!). So, when it came time to make my bauble inserts there was only one colour for me! Blackberry Bliss!

Unfortunately, when I measured the bauble inserts that came with the baubles, the piece needed was 2 and 5/8″ (a size Stampin’ Up don’t have in a punch), so I used my electronic die cutter to cut the circles. The stamps I used are Holiday Home (and the matching Framelits), and Festival of Trees.

They look awesome on my tree!

Chocolate Money Wallet

I love chocolate! I mean, there really is a reason why I am overweight, and right now, its Christmas and chocolate is everywhere! (I WILL loose weight in the new year – have to fit into that wedding dress! eeek!)

I found chocolate coins and notes in Tesco’s last week, and just had to make a project for them! There are loads of tutorials for chocolate coins, but the notes?! well, I’d never seen them before!

Stampin' Up! UK chocolate money wallet

These are just so tiny!

The original uses the Trim the Tree DSP, but the one in front is the gorgeous All is Calm paper (so sad to see it leave us soon!), and its that Scalloped Tag Topper Punch again!

Measurements:

Cardstock = 6 x 3 1/2″ (9 x 15.5 cm) (the metric version is slightly bigger)

Score on the long side at: 1/2, 2 3/4, 3 1/4 and 5 1/2″ (1.5, 7, 8.2, 14 cm)

Score on the short side at: 1/2, 2 and 2 1/2″ (1.5, 5, 6.5 cm)

Before I go today, it just had to pop in a picture of the box I used to store these chocolate in (that was before they were all eaten of course!)

Stampin' Up! UK chocolate box takeout boxIts one of the lovely Takeout boxes, with a tag made from the Under the Tree tag a bag accessory kit!

Lovely!

A Gift for you….

I have a series of posts for you for the last few Fridays before Christmas; and they are all little boxes perfect for table favours or stocking treats!

The first of these posts is an Envelope Punch Board project designed to hold a Galaxy Gift for You!

Stampin' Up! UK Galaxy Gift For You Chocolate DSP

The original box uses the All is Calm DSP (its just so pretty), and the stamp is from the Hello There Hostess Stamp Set. The red version uses the Under the Tree Speciality Designer Series Paper and the same stamp set.

Measurements: The Envelope punch board works best in imperial so they are the measurements I will use:

Cardstock measures : 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″

Make the first punch and score at: 2 3/4″ and the second at: 3 1/2″

Use these first score lines as a guide to make the punch and scores on the other 3 sides

Cut away the little squares formed by the Punch board

Fold together around your chocolate and use Glue dots to hold together

Hope you enjoyed this project
