Jars of Dapper Denim

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk products

I am loving the Jar of Love bundle in this years Annual Catalogue. It is just so awesome, a combination of pretty flowers, jars, fish, fireflies, and the dies that coordinate – don’t get me started! I shared a lovely card using this stamp set with my email subscribers last weekend, and thought I would share one with you guys today too.

Jar of Love card using Stampin' Up! Uk productsI made this card a few weeks ago when I was playing around with this set, I really wanted to use Jar of Love for the Pootlers Team Blog Hop in June and so I made a heap of samples, and this was one of the cards that didn’t make the hop. I still love it though

You Fill Me with Happiness Card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up!

The jar is stamped in Dapper Denim onto the card front, and then the flowers, leaves and fireflies are stamped and die cut. I love the dimension created when you add die cut pieces onto a card. I haven’t even added any with Diemensionals here yet they still give depth to the card.

Die Cutting Jar of Love Card using products from Stampin' Up! UKI do have to admit that this card was made before I noticed that the largest jar has two coordinating dies, one for the outside and one for the in. So I used my craft knife to cut a slit at the top and another underneath, to help with the illusion of the jar. I really struggled with the leaves stamped directly onto the jar, it just didn’t look right to me, but I am happy with my solution – but not as happy as when I noticed the  two dies!

I having started a new series here on StampinByHannah, looking at some of the Product Suites in the 2016 Annual catalogue, and seeing has I am using the Fresh Fruit Suite in my new Stamp of the Month Club Online Class I thought I would focus on this one today.

Fresh Fruit card making suite from Stampin' Up! UK

How cute are these stamps?! I mentioned yesterday about my love of 2-step stamping and this stamp set features this technique too. Each fruit stamp comes with both a line image and the solid inner, to create these fabulous fruits. Oh, and there is more to this set than just fruit, as it also includes two different sized flowers too.

And then there is the Designer Series Paper…

… which includes fruit themed patterns and some stunning watercolour patterns, stripes and polka dots, so pretty.

I have heaps of ideas coming using this Suite this month as Fresh Fruit features as my Stamp of the Month. You Can join my Stamp of the Month Club for the month HERE, my monthly Online card class – Make 8 great cards for all occasions using Fresh Fruit and the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper. Today is a Perfect Day …

Perfect Day Wedding Congratulations card using Bunch of Blossoms from Stampin' Up! UK

Ok, so, it may be raining (or not, I’m writing this in advance as usual!) but I have the Perfect congratulations card for you today!

I am just loving the new Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and coordinating punch. I have mentioned this many many times but one of the things that made me fall in LOVE with Stampin’ Up! is the coordinating products; the stamps with matching dies and punches, the sentiments that fit perfectly into the punches, the ribbon / embellishments / card stock / Designer Series Paper that match the ink colours. Fabulous! And this card is one of those that uses a Stamp / Punch bundle

Perfect Day Wedding Congratulations card using Bunch of Blossoms from Stampin' Up! UKThis great stamp set not only has a coordinating punch, but uses 2-step stamping to create this pretty faux-watercolour look. I’m a sucker for a good technique, and as you know I LOVE watercolour, but having stamps to do all the hard work for you is simply awesome!

Here I have stamped the flowers in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo, while the leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

Punch Stamp Bunch of Blossoms Stampin' Up! UKI think that my favourite part of this card though is the heat embossed sentiment on Vellum. This soft look is created by stamping with Smoky Slate onto the Vellum, and because the ink dries very slowly on the Vellum you have time to add clear embossing powder and heat setting it! So pretty

Sailing Away with a Swirly Bird

Sailing Boat Thank You Card using Swirly Bird from Stampin' Up! UK

You guys know how much I love a stamp set that I can use in multiple different way for multiple different occasions, and Swirly Bird is definitely one of those stamp sets that I am head over heals with!

Sailing Boat Thank You Card using Swirly Bird from Stampin' Up! UK

How cute is this card?! I think it would be an awesome card for a little boys birthday, or a Hello baby boy card, however I have plumped for my standard Thank You card (I make so many Thank You cards I love having a heap on hand at all times for all you lovely customers and blog readers).

The boat is actually from the Swirly Bird stamp set! There are heaps of images in this stamp set, a boat, a bird, swirly bits and bobs, great fun.

Boat Boy Birthday Swirly Bird Stampin' Up!The ‘sea’ is one of the dies from the coordinating die bundle – Swirly Scribbles – in Pool Party to match the Pool Party / Dapper Denim / Rose Red Boat. I’ve actually in-lay die cut it this time, but my goodness it was tricky, definitely one to do if you have plenty of time!

Sitting Here One Layer Card

One Layer Card using Sitting Here from Stampin' Up! UK

I love a simple card, don’t you. This card is super simple, a simple stamped one layer wonder!

One Layer Card using Sitting Here from Stampin' Up! UK

My July Technique Class booking closes today, this month we are trying Masking. This stamp set – Sitting Here – is perfect for this one, although I promise that not all the cards we are making at class are as simple as this one!

The trick here is to stamp the cushion first, then mask it off with a piece of sticky note (or copy paper would work) and stamp the Swing Bench over the top. I love using Masking on my cards, and will often mask of an area for my sentiment, I would love you to join me at Class. To book your place drop me an email today!

Make It Monday | Floral Phrases

congratulations cards using Floral Phrases bundle from Stampin' Up! UK

I think this suite would be my number one choice for wedding stationary this year. I am totally in love with the large, intricate dies (although I have to say that these dies are the reason that the Big Shot Die Brush is an awesome purchase!) and the coordinating stamp set is just beautiful

Make It Monday floral phrases congratulations card video tutorial using Stampin' Up! UK products

I really struggled to make anything with this awesome suite when they first arrived on my desk. I think because they are shown in Night of Navy in the catalogue (which I just adore) I found stamping or die cutting in any other colour really tricky. So, I decided to stamp a heap of different colours – as you can see in the video – and I am rather pleased to report that I feel much freer about this bundle now. Although I think I will have to make something with this and Night of Navy eventually!

I’m trying some different things with my photography over the next few weeks, as well as changing my video set up! I would love to hear what you think, please feel free to leave comments in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

congratulations cards using Floral Phrases bundle from Stampin' Up! UK

These would be a lovely cards to receive as a Wedding Congratulations card, or even to send as Save the Dates or Wedding Invitations. I cannot wait to get to play with these dies again, they are just so pretty.

Sitting Here….

Sitting Here from Stampin' Up! UK

One of my favourite parts of my business is connecting with you guys; whether it be here on my blog, over on Facebook, or at one of my Live Events, I really enjoy chatting and sharing stamping with you. I’m currently prepping for my July events; Stamp of the Month Club and my Techniques Class, and have been making heaps of samples with the stamp sets I’m planning on using.

Sitting Here from Stampin' Up! UK

This card was totally inspired by this YouTube video from UnderstandBlue. My July Technique class is all about Masking, and we are using the Sitting Here stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (of course!) and while this card doesn’t use the masking technique at all, I had heaps of fun colouring those cushions!

The swing seat was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder – side note: black card stock is the reason the Embossing buddy exists, I forgot to use it here and you can totally tell! I had embossing powder everywhere! The cushions were stamped separately onto Whisper White card stock and coloured with the new with Stampin’ Write Markers in the new In-Colours; Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum. Then the cushions were fussy cut out, and given dimension using a ball tool. This is super simple; just place the pieces face down onto your Stampin’ Pierce Mat, and rub over the back with a ball tool – the longer you rub the more curve they get, leaving you with great cushion shapes. Pop these onto the card with dimensionals, simple.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

2-step stamping birthday card using Sweet Cupcake from Stampin' Up!

I love sending handmade Birthday cards, and I am sure that you make more birthday cards than any other kind. So I always enjoy coming up with fun and different birthday cards, because lets be honest here – that’s why we send home made, because its a little different from everyone elses!

2-step stamping birthday card using Sweet Cupcake from Stampin' Up!

I made this card recently for James’ friends little girl, who turned 10 (I think) on Monday. She loves James, and is always upset when she finds that he’s been round while she has been at school. So, James always likes to make a special effort for her birthday (and so I always make card!).

This card uses the Sweet Cupcake Bundle (save 10%!). The Cupcake base is stamped in Sahara Sand, Tip Top Taupe and Chocolate Chip, while the Icing is Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum with a hint of Gold Wink of Stella for some extra sparkle.

Sweet Cupcake Birthday Card Stampin' Up! Uk

This stamp set is totally designed for 2-step stamping. There are 3 stamps for the cupcake, and another 3 for the icing, and then the are 2 to make the candle too! PLUS the awesome coordinating die set to cut the whole lot out (with some extra’s too!) I LOVE it!

Birthday Card using Sweet Cupcake from Stampin' Up!

James always requests that I stamp the inside of the card too (something I often forget!) and he loved the extra cupcake inside! So cute!

If you have ever placed an order with me you will know that I love to send a Thank You card to my customers. If you have ever shopped using my Code Club Code, you will know that you guys get even more! I just LOVE to spoil my customers, you are all awesome, and I wouldn’t be here without you.

Thank You cards using Fresh Fruit and Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

I made a stack of these Thank You cards last week for the ladies that attended my Catalogue Launch Party at the beginning of the month. They also got cake and a notebook on the night too.

These cards feature the stamp set that is going to be my Stamp of the Month in July – Fresh Fruit! I have been LOVING making heaps of samples using this set, saying that there is fruit to be seen here! Just pretty flowers…

Customer Thank You Cards using Fresh Fruit from Stampin' Up! UK

The colour combination was totally inspired by the matching Designer Series Paper – Fruit Stand – and I have used Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Watermelon Wonder on these cards. The Thank You was stamped first in Peekaboo Peach and masked off using a bit of sticky note, then the flower and leaves were added, and the cards finished with a strip of Designer Series Paper.
