In Colour Week | Tranquil Tide

Stampin' Up! 2017 In Colour Tranquil Tide Happy Birthday Card using Fresh Florals and Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Tranquil Tide is the last new In-Colour… its a beautiful deep teal colour, a colour like no other in our colour collection. It pairs beautifully with Emerald Envy, and works really well with pinks and purple tones.

This fun card was inspired by a card I spotted on Instagram a few weeks ago, and was borne from the idea of dry embossing Vellum. The vellum on this card was embossed with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and is a super soft layer over the fabulous Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper.

In Colour Week | Berry Burst

Stampin' Up! In Colour 2017 Berry Burst Fun Crafting Forever Card

Oh, it’s Thursday…. it’s 1st June….. it’s Catalogue Launch Day!!!! Yay!

I have a couple of blog posts that will be going live today, including a video that should be live at 8AM, but for now, I have a card using the fabulous Berry Burst!

This card might be my favourite card of the week! It uses a new stamp set as well as a new colour. Crafting Forever is the perfect crafty stamp set… not only does it include scissors, and paint brushes and pens, but it also has some fun sentiments that are perfect to send your crafty friends.

The reason I love this card so much isn’t totally about the stamp set, it also uses one of my most favourite techniques. This great masking technique uses Fine-Tip Glue; where you stamp and then cover the image with Fine-Tip glue, let in dry and then add ink over the top – the image stays perfectly white which the rest of the card stock is coloured. I added extra glue to this card, lots of dots of glue to create a fun polka-dot effect.

Stampin' Up! 2017 In Colour Powder Pink Designer Series Paper Delightful Daisy Thank You Card

Oh this colour is so pretty…. Introducing Powder Pink!

This card uses the fabulous Delightful Daisy stamp and die bundle. I have BIG plans for this bundle…. maybe a class… maybe some tutorials. Did you know I have a fabulous Facebook group exclusively for my customers. Each month I post a heap of card tutorials, and I have a fun Facebook live planned for this coming Saturday – and hopefully every month going forward.

I cannot wait for the catalogue to launch tomorrow….. Yay!

In Colour Week | Lemon Lime Twist

Stampin' Up! 2017 In Colour Lemon Lime Twist Lemon Zest Fun Lemon Card

Oh my goodness, this colour actually frightened me so much when it arrived….. but it is so easy to work with, I LOVE it!

It’s just so much fun! I have made this card twice (and I was sure I had shared it with you last week…. but then, last week was crazy!) the first time in Crushed Curry, and the second time in Lemon Lime Twist.

The Lemon Zest stamp and punch bundle is great! The stamp set has a heap of fun sentiments, and I am totally on board with the citrus trend too.

As well as the Lemon Zest bundle this card uses the Stitched Shapes Framelits – these are such a must have for the new catalogue by the way. There are 5 lemons / limes stamped and punched then arranged in the die cut space. To get the sentiment on the lemon I stamped the lemon first, the used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the sentiment before I punched out the shape, cool huh!

In Colour Week | Fresh Fig

Stampin' Up! In Colour 2017 Fresh Fig Happy Birthday Gorgeous Floral Birthday card

Hello! Welcome to In-Colour week here at StampinByHannah… I have 5 fabulous cards to share with you this week, one In Colour for each day!

This fabulous Fresh Fig card using the lovely Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle…. that may also be my Online Card Class for June (more on that on Friday!). The Happy Birthday die is super pretty and really easy to stack to create a fun dimensional look.

Here I stamped the card with the flowers, and added some ink blending before die cutting the Happy Birthday. The die cut was then layered onto 2 more, cut in Fresh Fig, before I paper pieced the background back together.

Oh, how I am loving the new In Colours….. come back tomorrow for more!

Sneak Peaks | Lemon Zest

Happy Birthday Card using Lemon Zest from Stampin' Up!

I had the greatest honour to be chosen as a Display Stamper by Stampin’ Up! to create some samples for Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live in Amsterdam back in April. I had so much fun creating 15 projects with 3 great stamp sets and the new In Colours…. and although I was pretty nervous about this particular set, once I got stamping the projects seemed to create themselves!

This was the very first card I made using the Lemon Zest stamp set, and the new In Colour; Lemon Lime Twist.

The Lemon Zest stamp set comes bundled with a Lemon builder punch… now I’m sure that the lemon and the leaves are easy enough to fussy cut, but come on, it still way less time consuming to punch (that and I’m not bad at fussy cutting, but it would still be messy!).

Make It Monday | Backgrounds with small stamps….

Make It Monday Video Tutorial making backgrounds with small stamps using Eastern Beauty from Stampin' Up!

Hello! long time no see… totally my fault of course, but I am back this week with my Make It Monday video and some fabulous sneak peak projects from the upcoming Annual Catalogue

I had loads of fun making this card, which is good really seeing as I have ended up making the exact same card 3 times… I explain why in the video

Top tips for creating fun backgrounds using small stamps:

use stamps of different sizes, stamping the larger stamps first and using smaller stamps to fill the gaps
choose whether you are looking for a regular pattern like I have for this card, or something more random
Stamp the same stamps in the same colours, but make sure that there are different colours across the stamped piece…. this card would look very different if all the stamping was in the same colour
