Picture Perfect Birthday Card…

Quick and Fun Birthday Card using Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Picture Perfect Birthday Card…

It was my younger brother’s birthday at the end of February, and i needed a quick card to send him. I always vow NOT to make him cards (he always seems to manage to destroy them taking them out of the envelope!) but then something always stops me and I end up making him one anyway! I actually made him 2 cards in one week… you can find the other one HERE!

How to make a quick and easy Birthday Card using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

This card came together so quickly… I LOVE it when crafts happen like that, don’t you?

The Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper stack makes AWESOME Birthday cards, with fabulous photo-real images on one side and fun patterns on the other, you can create fabulous cards in a snap. I’ve paired the Designer Series Paper with the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, for a coordinate look… Don’t you love that that stamp fits inside the balloon perfectly!

Thoughtful Thursday | New Home Card using Home Life from Stampin’ Up!

Bright and fun Congratulations New Home card using Home Life from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday New Home Card using Home Life from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday

Over recent weeks I have had heaps of reasons to send cards to my friends and family, including my younger brother moving house last week. I have a few of this type of card to make over the next few weeks as my brother in law is also due to move very soon too. So, in preparation for them moving, and our house move (yes, it’s still ongoing!) I grabbed the Home Life Stamp Set.

This stamp set is a little awkward, in that it is one of those multi-layer stamp sets. However, Stampin’ Up! have made a handy video to help us… I am really looking forward to receiving my Stamparatus this week to play with this stamp set again!

Now… I post every single card I ever make on this blog. (I do have a stack that I haven’t got to yet, but I always aim to have a supply in back stock, just in case I can’t craft for a few weeks!) and so I wanted to share both the card that I am sending my brother…. and the one that I almost sent! So, I also, almost posted this first card, until I was writing this blog post…

Home Life card using Stampin' Up! supplies

and I watched the video from Stampin’ Up! I really liked this card, but it there was just something not right about it… and I realised that I could use of the mountain of Designer Series Paper that I have accumulated this year….

How to make a fun and fabulous new home card using Home Life from Stampin' Up! So this is the card that I have actually sent to my brother and his partner, Becca, and I used the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper (just like SU did!) to replace that busy stamped background! While I would have happily sent the first card, I am SO much happier with this one!

The Home Life stamp set and coordinating dies can be found in the Annual catalogue, and are available as a cost saving bundle. Did you know that bundled products save you a fabulous 10% compared to buying the items separately? Awesome!

Quick and easy card new home card using Home Life from Stampin' Up!

Of course I did also add a strip of Designer Series paper into the inside of the card too! I hope that they love it as much as I do…. I am hoping for a nice Wedding Stationary order from the happy couple soon….

Make It Monday | Acetate Window Card using Petal Palette from Stampin’ Up!

Make It Monday How to Make a Fun Acetate Window Card using Petal Palette from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Acetate Window Card using Petal Palette from Stampin’ Up!

Make It Monday

I have been loving playing with stamps recently! I know that sounds really strange, seeing as I work a Stamping business… but you know, sometimes I really don’t feel like stamping! But not recently, I have made SO many cards and projects that I am sure I have blog posts coming for months! I have been having so much fun playing with stamps, ink and paper, making fancy folds and learning new techniques… and I cannot wait to share all of it with you!

Make It Monday Video Tutorial Petal Palette Window Card using Stampin' Up! supplies

Speaking of having fun stamping, I had SO much fun creating this card! You guys know how much I have been LOVING the Petal Palette stamp set and die bundle, and when I first grabbed this set I knew I wanted to make some sort of window card with it. Then I found THIS card from Janet Wakeland… Janet used Stampin’ Blends to colour her Petals, and while I do LOVE the Blends, I haven’t quite got round to buying the Old Olive ones yet (they just keep getting missed off my order!) and so I reached for my Stampin’ Write Markers instead.

The Petal Palette Stamp set and coordinating Petals and More Thinlits are available as a bundle. Bundles are Awesome… as well as giving you an easy way to order coordinating products, you also save 10% when you order a Bundle. You can find ALL of the bundles currently available in my Stampin’ Up! webstore.

Techniques | Shadow Stamping with Amazing You from Stampin’ Up!

Techniques Card making tutorial using Amazing You Sale-a-bration and All Things Thanks from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Techniques Shadow Stamping with Amazing You from Stampin’ Up!

Stamping Techniques Series

I have a quick technique for you this week… you guys know how much I love a good stamp-y technique, and this one is super simple but really fun!

All Things Thanks card using Amazing You from Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration

The sentiment is taken from All Things Thanks. I have double stamped it here with Whisper White ink first and then over stamped in Basic Grey to create this fun Shadow Stamping effect.

The trick here really is a stamp positioning tool. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for this one, but I cannot wait for the Stamparatus to arrive in my craft room so I can make more cards like this one! the Stamparatus is the new Stamp Positioning tool from Stampin’ Up! which will launch properly in the new Annual catalogue in June… but I did manage to pre-order one that should be coming very soon!

How to make a simple thank you card using All things thanks from Stampin' Up!

I think my favourite bit of this card is the coloured doily… I have been doing this quite a bit recently (and have already shared a card with this this week!) using Stampin’ Blends to colour up those cute doilies. LOVE!

The background of this card uses the Amazing You stamp set which is available for FREE during Sale-a-bration.

Inspire.Create.Challenge | This Little Piggy

Cute and Girly Birthday Card using This Little Piggy from Stampin Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge This Little Piggy

Oh my goodness, I was writing the challenge blog blog post for this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenges challenge, and released that I had completely forgotten to write my own! These posts seem to be coming around awfully quickly at the moment… where are the weeks going?!

Inspire.Create.Challenges Stampin' Up! Challenges Theme

This weeks challenge is a theme… and I am so excited to see what you guys make with this one! I stood in front of my stamp shelves for ages debating over butterflies, when I remembered that I needed a birthday card for one of my crafty besties… and the This Little Piggy stamp set jumped out at me.

How to make a cute birthday card using This Little Piggy from Stampin' Up!

I had so much fun making this one! I’ve been really enjoying using layers on my cards recently, and this card totally plays into that with embossing, a doily, stamping, vellum and bakers twine!

This piggy is stamped in Powder Pink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, which I then die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits and layered into onto the coordinating scalloped circle cut from Powder Pink card stock.

Cute birthday card using This Little Piggy from Stampin' Up!

The other thing I have been doing quite a bit recently is using my Stampin’ Blends to colour Delicate White Doilies… I took a Pink Piroutte Blend to this one for a subtle off-white colour.

This card is finished with a Everyday label punched from Vellum, a double bow of White Bakers Twine and a trio of Glitter Enamel dots… oh and a splatter of Sahara Sand ink too
