I love to craft, I make more cards than anything else…. but every once in a while I like to try something 3D. I bought a pack of Yankee candles ages ago, and they’ve sat on my ‘inspiration’ shelf ever since…. until now!

My friend Sally made a really cute box wrapped in Vellum a few months ago… and took the idea as inspiration here. The vellum is stamped using one of the leave stamps from Painted Harvest. I LOVE the look of stamped vellum… it’s one of those techniques that looks tricky, but is actually super easy. Just remember that Vellum can take a little while to dry, give it some time, and then hit it with your heat gun!

Measurements:

Card stock; 8-1/2 x 7-1/2″ (22 x 18.5 cm)

Score on the long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8″ (5, 10, 15, and 20 cm)

Score on the short side at 2, 4-1/4, and 6-1/4″ (5, 10.5 and 15.5 cm)

This week I am sharing a whole weeks worth of inspiration featuring the new Stampin’ Up! 2018-2020 In Colours… which happens to tie in quite nicely to this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenges Colour Challenge…

One of my most favourite times in the Stampin’ Up! calendar is the release of the new In-Colours…. and this year certainly did not disappoint! These 5 fun, bright colours are going to be awesome to use during the summer, and I can see some fabulous Christmas crafting coming with Call Me Clover too!

Today’s project is a fairly simple one… borne from the need to update my Office decor! I’ve had this frame in my craft room for a couple of years, I shared the original creation HERE…. but it was starting to look tired… and I could not pass up the chance to use the Exclusive Statement of the Heart stamp before it retires Tomorrow! The frame is THIS one from IKEA (I LOVE IKEA… don’t you?!)

Today is Grapefruit Grove day in my week long celebration of all things ‘In Colour’ and I just HAD to use this piece of the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and the Statement of the Heart Stamp Set from the Share What You Love Bundles, along with some of the pieces from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, Pearlised Doilies and a hint of Vellum too!

It’s been a while since I shared a 3D project on the blog. It really is something I’d like to do more of, it’s just not something that comes particularly naturally to me. However, this box came together super fast!

I LOVE the look of hand-made boxes with separate lids, but getting the lid to be the perfect size to fit is a little tricky. My method of doing this is to cut the lid ever so slightly bigger than needed. I used to at 1/16″ or 1mm, but now I tend to not even add that much! For the measurements of this box check the end of this post.

I have recently signed up as a Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic Consultant, and this hand cream arrived in my Starter Kit and it smells amazing! You can see the full range over on my NYROragnic webstore, or order a free catalogue using my Contact Me page.

Measurements:

Box Base:

Card stock; 9-1/2 x 7-1/4″ (25 x 18 cm)

Score on the long side at 2-1/4, 4-1/2, 6-3/4, and 9″ (6, 12, 18 and 24 cm)

Score on the short side at 2-1/4″ (6 cm)

Box Lid:

Designer Series Paper; 4-1/4 x 4-1/4″ (12 x 12 cm) — this is where you could also add 1/16″ or 1mm

Score on all 4 sides at 1″ or 3cm

The Neutral coloured box uses the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper which is carrying over into the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue, while the Lemon Lime Twist version uses Naturally Eclectic which is only available While Stocks Last on the Retiring List!

Both boxes also use the Jar of Love stamp set, for that cute bug stamp, and the coordinating Everyday Jars framelits. I love the look of tone on tone stamping here, where you stamp with the same colour ink as your card stock. Very Classic.

I’ve wrapped this one using the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper before adding a fun sentiment using All Things Thanks. On Saturday I shared all the fabulous swaps that I received at Stampin’ Up! OnStage last weekend. Today I thought I would share the project I swapped… as well as the gift I sent my wonderful March customers!

These are super duper easy to pop together. Can you believe I made 48 of these in just 1 hour and 40 minutes! Partly because I used Wood Textures Designer Series Paper which comes in 6 x 6″… the exact right size for these cute envelopes! and partly because I kept things simple with punches and basic stamping!

This fun project uses the Envelope Punch Board. I LOVE this tool so much, it’s just SO handy! I use it all the time for custom sized envelopes for special occasion cards, as well as being super handy for a quick thinking of you type gift. It’s so easy to use too… as you can see in the video tutorial!

Measurements:

Designer Series Paper: 6 x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)

Punch and score on each side at 3″ using the Envelope Punch Board

I was on so much of a roll with these that I kept going once I had finished my swaps, switching to the fun Colour Theory Designer Series Paper, to make my March Customer thank you gifts! I continued to use the same stamp set, Hedgehugs, but changed the colours to the retiring Dapper Denim colour instead!

I’ll be sharing more the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp very soon!
