StampinByHannah International Blog Highlight Winners Blog Hop Welcome Card
I am so totally honored to be taking part in the International Highlights Winner Blog Hop tonight! I always enjoy taking part in Kylie’s International Highlights…. she comes up with some great themes! You can find the card that got me here HERE! Because the Highlight was Travel themed, the blog hop is the same…. I’m sure you are thinking “but Hannah…. You’ve made a Welcome card”. And Yes, I have…. but it started life as a Welcome Home card…. but then the ‘Home’ didn’t quite fit…. still, I think this card is too good not to share!
The ‘Welcome’ was stamped using the Lined Alphabet Stamp Set, on Vellum using Memento Black Ink and heat set with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Then, coloured using a Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend Marker. Using Alcohol Markers on Vellum allows you to create a fun Watercolour Effect super easily, as the Alcohol takes a little longer to dry. If you add extra puddles of Alcohol ink it then dries at different times, creating those pretty harsh lines that give a watercolour effect.
The background was stamped using the Floral Frames stamp set. I just LOVE that pretty frame in the centre. I added some randomly stamped flowers around the outside to create this pretty look.
The card was finished with a length of Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain ribbon and a bow.

Hahaha … that sounds so like something I would do Hannah. Make a card where the words didn’t quite fit and turn it into something else! 😉 I totally agree that this card is way too nice not to share. I love what you have done with the embossed vellum letters! xxx
Your “welcome” is absolutely beautiful, Hannah. We were on the same wavelength with the welcome home idea.
Hannah, this card is just awesome! I love the blueberry bushel color that you used 🙂 Vellum is one of my favorite things to add to a card 🙂
Your card still turned out great even though it wasn’t quite what you planned. Beautiful card!?
Love your colour scheme. It reminds me of times by the sea whilst on holiday!
Love the overlapping letters! So clever. Big congrats on making the top ten winners!
Love the way this turned out Hannah. Looks great ?
