I read a fair few Stampin’ Up! blogs, I love looking through Facebook groups, Pinterest boards and seeing what other people have created.
This card was originally created by Amanda Fowler of Inspirin’ Inkin’.
It was the background of the original card that really inspired me, as much as I love this flower – and was after a different way to use it when I came across the original blog post.
To create the softly stamped background – Ink your background stamp with Sahara Sand ink. Stamp it off once, and lay it rubber side up on your desk. Place your cardstock on the top (gently!) and rub over small areas of the card with your fingers.
I used the new Something Lacy stamp here but it works just as well with the Dictionary or Chevron background stamps
This card is finished with one of those lovely Petal Potpourri punched flowers and a Melon Mambo button threaded with white Bakers Twine.
