I think I have mentioned before that I really struggle making cards for James’ brothers and sisters, and this week I was asked (at the last minute as usual) to make a card for one of James’ younger brothers. However, this time I didn’t find it quite so bad….. maybe because I had the awesome Snow Place stamp set to play with.
Now, there is a little bit more of a back story to this card – James and his brothers spent a lot of time in a local seaside town when they were growing up, and this particular seaside town (Redcar) has some strange street furniture…. a family of Penguins that stand on the sea front. So, when I was looking through my stamps to find that perfect stamp set and I spotted my penguin friend I knew he was coming to stamp with me!
Now, I wonder if anyone local to me will have already realised where I am going next ….. yes, that Ice Cream. One of our local traditions is going to the sea side and eating a particular type of Ice Cream – something called a Lemon Top, which basically is vanilla soft whip Ice Cream with really tart Lemon Sauce on the top (can you tell I’m not really a fan!), and seeing as Snow Place comes complete with an Ice Cream, a Lemon Top it had to be.
This card is finished with the watercolour stamp from the Perpetual Birthday Stamp set in Cucumber Crush, and a Happy Birthday from Guy Greetings!
