I have recently been playing around with making cards with multiple layers and details, and I think that this card fits into that category. I shared this card a few weeks ago on my How to… Use Embossing Paste Video, but I never got around to writing the blog post (bad blogger!) …. but it was far too good not to share!
The background of this card uses Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Check the video for how I created this background, I am loving creating textured backgrounds with Embossing Paste. Have you tried it yet?
I have a couple of top tips for using Embossing Paste:
- Only take out a little paste, this stuff dries QUICK! and ensure that the lid is on firmly when leaving it
- Play around with the different Palette knives – they each have a different purpose!
- You can colour your paste with Stampin’ Up! re-inkers…. I have a video for that too!
The main focus of this card is that beautiful Daisy… stamped in Berry Burst and punched out with the Daisy Punch, with a Faceted Gem centre – so pretty.
I originally just had the daisy, the bow and the sentiment, but it just needed more! So I added a Vellum circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and an extra double bow in Linen Thread.
