This past Sunday I attended Michelle Last’s team training event in Northamptonshire. I LOVE attending Stampin’ Up! events, either corporate organised or events arranged by demonstrators, they are always wonderful and a great excuse to spend the day with lovely people, crafting and eating cake!
I set off from home at 6AM (yes, it felt very early!) and got on completely deserted roads travelling southbound. I did stop once, needed some breakfast! but arrived just after 09:30 in time for our 10AM start.
I have talked before about swaps, and I love swapping crafty ideas with other demonstrators. This time Michelle had asked us to make only 6 swaps, as we swapped in smaller groups to make it a little more manageable for everyone. I’m already planning my swaps for April’s On Stage Local event in Telford, and I have to admit, making 6 swaps was way way quicker than making 40+!
Its not very often I use black in my card making, but for me the whole point of attending these events is to push myself out of my comfort zone! So, here I am with a Black card base, Basic Grey embossed panel, and Mint Macaron stamped piece. I think the ‘Look who’s turning’ sentiment is great, and the ‘(again)’ just makes me giggle. My dad celebrates the anniversary of his 21st birthday every year (rather than admit quite how old he is!) and so I think this card might have to make a reappearance for his birthday this year!
I had great fun making these cards as my swap, but not as much fun as I had card making at the event!
One of the great things about attending training days with other demonstrators is getting the chance to use products you haven’t got round to buying yet! and this weekend I used an Aqua painter for the first time, what a difference – they are awesome! I’m not sure that I won’t still reach for my paint brush once in a while, but I am converted! Aqua painters are the way to go!
We were joined by the fabulous Paula Gorry from the Stampin’ Up! UK office at training this weekend, and she was kind enough to bring each and every person a swap card! It’s already on my wall of inspiration 🙂
How you all had a great weekend, I’m sorting out thank you cards and hostess gifts ready for posting tomorrow, probably should get back to it….

I know I have mentioned this months fantastic joining offer from Stampin’ Up! but I thought I would pop in today and talk about it properly.
We all love a bargain, and I think the Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit is the greatest bargain! To start with you get to choose £130 worth of items from the brand new Annual Catalogue, and pay just £99! and then you get 20% discount on all future purchases for the life of your demonstratorship
Then there is the wonderful friendships, inspiration and community you get just by being a part of our group! Not only are you joining a close group of friendly crafters, but also a wider community of inspiring friends from around the world. I run a private facebook group for my team, but you will also be a part of Pootles team group too, and Stampin’ Up! private forum – Stampin’ Connection where stampers from around the world discuss and share, bringing you instant project ideas, encouragement and friendships
I know what you’re thinking, but I’d have to sell stuff. Well, no, not really. To continue to receive that great 20% discount (and get sneak peaks and the chance to attend some awesome Stampin’ Up! events) you have to sell £270 of catalogue priced products each quarter. When you take off your discount, thats only £75 per month! and Stampin’ Up! don’t mind who buys either, whether its you or a friend, customers or your mum!
Convinced? Shall I tell you more about the offer this month?
Well, this month is awesome because not only do you get all of that (and more besides!) but Stampin’ Up! will also throw in 2 free stamp sets of your choice! Awesome!
But what do you choose? This is where I though I would help!
When I’m looking at free stamp sets, I tend to choose more expensive ones, that I wouldn’t necessarily buy for myself. Last time I had free stamp sets (yes, that’s another perk of being a demonstrator, you get free stuff, all year round!) I grabbed the Big News stamp set, in Wood Mount, that would have cost me £40!

I have a heap of things to tell you about today! Yesterday was the launch of the brand new Stampin’ Up! catalogue! Yay! I am still sending catalogues out for free (provided you are in the UK) just complete this form for a copy, or there is a digital PDF download version available in the sidebar. My monthly newsletter is due to hit your inboxes today (or tomorrow depending on some external factors – like how fast YouTube is feeling today!), you can subscribe at any time by using the link found at the end of all of my blog posts.
This weeks deal selection is great! I always love a good embossing folder – this week we have two! You guys already know what a fan of tag topper punches I am, this ornate one is carrying over from the Spring/Summer catalogue, and is a great addition to your punch collection. The handpicked framelits dies are also a carry over item, and coordinate with two of the brand new stamp sets in the new Annual Catalogue! And who can live without some gold sequins!
In addition to the new catalogue, yesterday we also launched a brand new Joining offer!
If you decide to join Stampin’ Up! in June, you will get to choose TWO free stamp sets in your Starter kit – that’t any two stamp sets in the annual catalogue, for FREE! Awesome right! I have waffled and waffled about the joys of being part of Stampin’ Up! I have a heap of information about joining on my Join My Team page. And I am available by email and phone if you have any questions.
I also have my own joining offer this month, and all new team members will receive and extra special goody bag! (but I’m not telling you what’s in it! stay tuned for more information on that one!)
I have updated the Classes and Workshops page. You can now see a full list of Classes, Workshops, and events through until the end of the year. If you live locally to me and have ordered a catalogue, this timetable was also included.
I have changed my classes slightly this time, and will be holding a Techniques Class each month, with Kit classes and Stamp-a-Stack events in some months. Unfortunately there will be no classes or events in August as I get married and go on honeymoon, the blog will still be updated regularly during this time.
I think that’s probably enough information to bombard you with today, I’m working this morning, but am looking forward to a girly lunch and shopping afternoon, followed by a gym session with James. I have recently challenged him – he thinks he can get me to run 5K by the time we get married, for all I’m the one doing the training, I’m not sure!

Today is my opportunity event here at StampinByHannah, and so there are a few blog posts, videos, and a facebook party, all with more information about Stampin’ Up! and what great things I can do for you.
Did you know that as well as my blog I also hold monthly classes and workshops, and am available several times per week to help you hold a party for your friends in your own home! I love what I do, and just had to take this time to share my Stampin’ Up! story with you
Firstly I started buying Stampin’ Up! products because of the wonderful Sam Hammond-Donald AKA Pootles! I actually only ever made one order, to be fair it was quite a large order, but one order was all it took for me to totally fall in love with the products! The quality and value is fantastic, and I love the coordination between products – never before had I had inks, cardstocks, embellishments and other items that used the same colours and made creativity so easy!
So, after falling head over heals for the products I signed up as a demonstrator – initially just for the 20% demonstrator discount (why spend more than you have to!) and for the pre-order. But I quickly realised the potential of what I had signed up for.
I now blog at least 4 times per week, and hold 2 classes each month from my home. I have recently started to teach card-making to people with dementia at work (they love it!) and am planning on expanding my business to parties and events hosted by other people!
I recruited my first down-line back in January, and am looking forward to growing my team! I love what I do, and share what I love!
So, that’s why I love Stampin’ Up! I just adore the coordination of products, the quality and friendships I have made.
I would love to share Stampin’ Up! with you to – come and Join Me and see where your journey takes you!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed Sale-a-bration week as much as I have!
Sale-a-bration ends on the 31st of March so you don’t have long left to grab the awesome stamps and accessories. Unfortunately the Blendabilities have been discontinued, and are no longer available.
My card for today, or rather, cards for today feature one of the new Sale-a-bration releases – Natures Perfection. Its a lovely mix of floral and leafy images, and is gloriously simple. I love it!
This first card is a mix of almost all the stamps in the set. I love bright colours, and here I have used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive to create the frame of stamped images. I think this card would be gorgeous in neutral colours too… but I just couldn’t resist the lovely brights collection this time.
Onto something a whole lot simpler! The sentiment is from Crazy About You, and is stamped in Early Espresso to contract the Bermuda Bay of the flower. I love a versatile stamp set, and I think this proves that Natures Perfection is perfect for happy and sad occasions.
This final card is part of a Hostess gift I presented to one of my Sale-a-bration hostesses. As part of Sale-a-bration Stampin’ Up! challenged demonstrators to book 2 (or more) parties in March. Well, I managed it! and will soon be receiving my prize – another one of the many reasons I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. If you want to find out more about earning Free products, attending events, and making some great Stampin’ Friends, drop me a message HERE, or check out my Join Me page. I am currently being challenged again to find another new demonstrator before the end of Sale-a-bration! help me complete my challenge (gifts will be provided!), oh and if you sign up during Sale-a-bration Stampin’ Up! will reward you too with either a kit from spring/summer catalogue, or 2 Sale-a-bration items!

Sorry for the late post this morning, as you may know I work as a Nurse, and yesterday I was called into work at very very short notice. I usually work ahead of myself but this last few weeks have been crazy, and I ran out of posts!
Its OK; normal service will resume tomorrow!
So, today I thought I would share the card I made for my very first downline and member of my Stampin’ Team! Kathryn, when she joined me back in January
I recently earned some free stamp sets (one of the many many perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator) and I choose Big News, a great sentiment stamp set featuring Thank you’s and Birthdays, but also this great stamp – Is there no limit to your awesomeness? – well, if you’ve joined Stampin’ Up! then no, there isn’t! I heat embossed the sentiment in gold – so pretty.
The flowers are from Petal Potpourri, a great stamp set from the new Spring/Summer catalogue, which comes bundled with the Flower Medallion Punch. The background stamps are in Crumb Cake, stamped off once, and then the main image is stamped in Pool Party, and coloured with Blendabilities! Do you know you can use your Blendabilities with your Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink! Isn’t it awesome!
Do you know what else is awesome! that you can get Blendabilities for FREE at the moment if you choose them as your Sale-a-bration item for spending £45! Here I have used Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana to colour the flower – and I didn’t pay for either set!
If you like the project, or any of the products used, would like a catalogue, or to join my team, please contact me, or click on the ‘Shop NOW’ button at the top of the page. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+, About.me, and Tumblr (Links in the sidebar)
