StampinByHannah The Project Share Project Memories and more….

Project Share Banner

Even though I’m on a bloggy break this week I couldn’t miss digging through my Stampin’ Buddies blog archive… and I have some fabulous projects to share with you this week!

Helen Slimm

I am such a sucker for a scrapbooking project, and when I spotted this gorgeous photo of Helen’s Nan I couldn’t not share it with you! This week Helen has made this fabulous Memories and More album for her Nan… what a fabulous gift!

Sally Shaw

I’m actually sharing one of Sally’s videos this week… can you tell Helen sent me off looking for Memories and More projects?!

I just LOVE this fabulous scrapbooking system! The card packs are just such great value with heaps of cards, along with sticks and more! PLUS the line is expanding in the upcoming Annual catalogue to make these packs truly Memories and MORE!

Angelina Clark

So, I did search Angelina’s blog for some Memories and More…. but sadly I couldn’t come up with anything current. However, I did find this awesome project that uses the Birthday Memories suite! This project is just fantastic… don’t forget to click the image to see all the details… and the video tutorial too!

I’ve been using the Memories and More packs to complete my own scrapbooking project in 2018! Normally the last Thursday in the month would be my monthly One Little Word update…. but I’m going to delay April’s for a week or so. But it will be back soon!

Go for Greece Blog Hop | Beautiful Day Birthday Card

Pretty Night of Navy Birthday card using the Butterfly stamp from Beautiful Day from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Go for Greece Blog Hop Beautiful Day Birthday Card

Go for Greece Blog Hop

I’m back blog hopping today with the fabulous ladies from Go for Greece! I have been having so much fun (and learning a LOT!) from this wonderful bunch of women…. and being able to join them for another blog hop is so exciting!

I actually made this card during a really organised few days at the start of the month… before we had attending Stampin’ Up! OnStage, and learned about some of the upcoming changes to out inks and colour families. I have a full blog post about the changes, that you can find HERE! One of the changes though is that Night of Navy will move colour family from the Regals into the Neutrals. I LOVE this idea… as I use Night of Navy as a neutral so often, and it is one of my ‘go to’ card base colours too.

How to make a pretty butterfly Birthday Card using Beautiful Day from Stampin' Up!

I have been playing with Vellum a lot recently, I just LOVE the soft effects you can create with it. This card has a layer of Vellum over the top of the stamped butterfly. The trick with using Vellum on cards is getting it to stick! Here I have used glue does behind that big fat bow, and a small piece of Tear & Tape behind the heat embossed sentiment. I’ve used Tear & Tape because its clear, and so when you use it on Whisper White card stock it disappears! Awesome!

Go for Greece Blog Hop Happy Birthday Card using Beautiful Day

Today’s card is finished with a pretty double bow of the retiring Night of Navy Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, I am so sad to see this go I’ve used it SO much! The other ribbon is the 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon which I was excited to see is in the new Annual Catalogue! I will be sharing more about what is coming, and how you can get a catalogue from me really soon, but in the meantime do hop along to the other ladies on this fabulous blog hop… I’m sure some of them might just have a couple of sneak peaks for you!

Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp | What do you need to know…

Stampin' Up! Colour Revamp

StampinByHannah Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp What do you need to know…

Stampin' Up! Colour Revamp

Ok, so I’ve mentioned it a couple of times, and I know that other people have been sharing about the changes that are coming to the Stampin’ Up! ink range in the new Annual catalogue… so I thought it about time that I told you all the news! I am hoping to have a video with this information coming sooon, but at the time of me writing this I’m not completely sure when I’m going to get chance to get it filmed!

What is the Colour Revamp?

Stampin’ Up! refresh their ink colours approximately once every 5 years. This year, to coincide with the Stampin’ Up! 30th Anniversary celebrations they have chosen to completely revamp the ink line, adjust the ink formulation and re-design the ink pads too. There’s LOTS to talk about…. so lets get to it!

So what ink colours are changing?

Ok, so currently there are 48 Stampin’ Up! ink colours; 38 standard colours and 10 In-Colours. Going forward there are 50 ink colours; 40 standard colours and 10 In-Colours.

In order to keep the colour selection fresh and on trend Stampin’ Up! have looked at the current offering, and have decided to retire 13 of the current colours. However, many of these are being replaced with similar colours… but colours that are fresher, and that fit better within the rest of the colour collection. They are also moving some of the colours around within the 4 colour families and adjusting the Neutrals to include a couple of “colours”… moving Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black into a family of their own, known as The Basics. There are 10 brand new colours coming, and 6 previous In-Colours returning too!

Which Colours are Retiring?

Like I said, there are 10 colours that are Retiring… plus the 2016-2018 In Colours which were due to Retiring this June anyway, we are saying Goodbye to 15 colours. These are:

Stampin' Up! Retiring Colours 2018

These colours are all on the Retiring List, but stocks of ink pads, re-inkers and card stock are guaranteed until the 7th May… so stock up NOW before they go into While Stocks Last and most probably sell out!

What about the Returning Colours…

So, you guys will be more than aware of the 2 yearly In-Colour cycle… Each year Stampin’ Up! release 5 brand new In-Colours, which stay with us for 2 years before they retire. Well this year, some of them are coming back!

Stampin' Up! Returning Ink Colours 2018

I am SO excited to see Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron back! … and have you spotted the shortest retiring ever…. Yes Flirty Flamingo with retire and an In-Colour on the 31st May… and the Return as part of the standard ink collection on the 1st June!

and the new colours?

There are 10 brand new colours coming in June… and they are GORGEOUS!

Stampin' Up! Brand New Ink Colours 2018

There are also 5 fabulous new In-Colours which I will formally introduce to you really soon…. but you’ll get a sneaky peak here in the complete colour chart below!

Stampin' Up! Colours Families Chart 2018

But you said there was more!

Yes I did…. and there is!

So as well as introducing brand new ink colours Stampin’ Up! have also re-formulated the actual ink! Have you ever inked up your stamps and found that the ink had bubbled on the rubber and caused you to get a patchy image?! I know I have …. but that is now a thing of the past! Stampin’ Up!’s re-formulated ink includes a de-foaming agent so that should no longer occur and you should get perfect stamped images every single time!

What is even better is that you can use the new ink onto your old ink pads…. so you can continue to use what you already have, but when you replace your re-inker they’ll get even better!

So exciting!

And there is more too….

The final part of the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp…. completely re-designed ink pads!

This is because Stampin’ Up! manufacture their own ink pads and ink, and the moulds that they use to create the ink pads are approaching 15 years old! The number of ink pads that they have made must be astronomical…. but they are now coming to the end of their life, and need replacing. Stampin’ Up! have therefore made the decision to completely re-design the ink pads, making them flatter, easier to store and stack, and easier to open! Like I mentioned at the top of this post, I will do a video very soon to showcase these properly…. but with the new job (as this post goes live I start tomorrow!) and having had to wait for the ink pads to be delivered… I expect that this will be part of my Facebook Live next Sunday!

Inspire.Create.Challenge 016 | Farewell Dapper Denim…

Fine Tip Glue Techniques with Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 016 Farewell Dapper Denim…

Inspire.Create.Challenges Colour Challenge April 2018

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun farewell to the 2016-2018 In-Colours… I cannot quite believe that we’ve had these for 2 years already! I thought as we bid these colours goodbye, I would update one of the projects I made to introduce them! You can find that blog post HERE!

How to use Fine Tip Glue on your cards... as something other than an adhesive with Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

These cards use one of my favourite techniques; Masking with Fine-Tip Glue. It’s super easy to do, but it does take a little time as the glue has to dry (and it’s better if you leave it overnight). Here I have stamped two of the images from the Beautiful You stamp set onto Very Vanilla Notecards, using Archival Basic Black ink (but staz-on would work just as well). Then use Fine-Tip glue to ‘colour in’ the stamped images, making sure to cover the area fully.

Once the glue is dried, you can then stamp over it. I’ve used Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, and Emerald Envy, and one of the stamps from Touches of Texture. Where the glue is the ink won’t stick. Then, take a Stampin’ Sponge and sponge on more ink, making sure to wipe away the ink from the glue.

Quick and fun card collection using Beautiful You from Stampin' Up!

I can hear you asking why I haven’t used Flirty Flamingo… well, it’s one of the colours coming back as part of the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp! I am super excited about this, and will be sharing all of the details about that with you really soon!

Don’t forget to pop over to Inspire.Create.Challenges and see what the other members of the Design Team have created with these fabulous colours! And, if we have inspired you… why not share your makes with us over there too…

March Customer Thank You Cards featuring Eastern Beauty from Stampin’ Up!

Fun Dapper Denim Thank You Card using Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah March Customer Thank You Cards featuring Eastern Beauty from Stampin’ Up!

Last week I pulled all the Retiring List items off my stamp shelves, along with all the card stock, Designer Series Paper and other bits and bobs that are leaving us. However, they aren’t leaving my craft room just yet! While you can still get them, I’ll continue to share them with you.

This card features some Retiring card stock and Designer Series Paper, as well as some carry over goodies too!

How to make a simple thank you card with the Eastern Beauty Bundle from Stampin' Up!

So, which bits are Retiring? Well, the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper will leave us at the end of May (although it might sell out before that!), along with the Dapper Denim card stock and ink. Dapper Denim is one of the 2016-2018 In-Colours that we are saying goodbye to this year. I have a fun project for Inspire.Create.Challenge tomorrow with some of the Retiring In-Colours… don’t forget to check back for that!

The Eastern Beauty Bundle is also retiring. However, the stamps and dies are in the new annual catalogue! What this means though, is that from the 1st June 2018 you’ll loose the 10% bundle discount! So, if you love these stamps and dies, I’d grab them before the end of May.

Eastern Beauty Customer Thank You cards using Stampin' Up! products

I LOVE sending cards out to my customers each month. I always send a card, sometimes they also get gifts and goodies too! This month my March customers received this card, along with my project from yesterday… and my Code Club Code users also got some super fun embellishments!

Make It Monday | Quick and Easy OnStage Swaps!

Make It Monday Video Tutorial Using the Envelope punch board

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Quick and Easy OnStage Swaps!

Make It Monday

On Saturday I shared all the fabulous swaps that I received at Stampin’ Up! OnStage last weekend. Today I thought I would share the project I swapped… as well as the gift I sent my wonderful March customers!

Make It Monday How to make a cute envelope using Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

These are super duper easy to pop together. Can you believe I made 48 of these in just 1 hour and 40 minutes! Partly because I used Wood Textures Designer Series Paper which comes in  6 x 6″… the exact right size for these cute envelopes! and partly because I kept things simple with punches and basic stamping!

This fun project uses the Envelope Punch Board. I LOVE this tool so much, it’s just SO handy! I use it all the time for custom sized envelopes for special occasion cards, as well as being super handy for a quick thinking of you type gift. It’s so easy to use too… as you can see in the video tutorial!

Measurements:

Designer Series Paper: 6 x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)

Punch and score on each side at 3″ using the Envelope Punch Board

Make It Monday March Stampin' Up! Customer gifts with Colour Theory from Stampin' Up!

I was on so much of a roll with these that I kept going once I had finished my swaps, switching to the fun Colour Theory Designer Series Paper, to make my March Customer thank you gifts! I continued to use the same stamp set, Hedgehugs,  but changed the colours to the retiring Dapper Denim colour instead!

I’ll be sharing more the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp very soon!
