Inspire.Create.Challenges #020…. take 2 In Every Season!

Fun Floral Thank You Card using In Every Season from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges #020…. take 2 In Every Season

So, earlier this week I shared a card I made for Inspire.Create.Challenge #020…. and I promised that I would share the first card I made too….

How to make a fun floral thank you card using In Every Season from Stampin' Up!

This card uses the new stamp set In Every Season. This set has now sentiments, but features 12 seasonal floral images… that work for all year round, as well as for particular events and seasons, like Christmas!

I’ve been playing around with colour a little bit recently… thanks to the Stampin’ Up! Colour Re-vamp… and this colour combination is one that came out of nowhere; Blackberry Bliss, Powder Pink, and Mossy Meadow

Inspire.Create.Challenges In Every Season Floral Thank You Card using Stampin' Up! products

The sentiment is taken from Perennial Birthday, and I’ve heat embossed it in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

This card is finished with a bow in Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine.

Stamparatus 101 | Stamping on 12 x 12 Card Stock…

Fun Stamped Scrapbook page using Flower stamps from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Stamparatus 101 Stamping on 12 x 12 Card Stock…

Stampin' Up! Stamping Positioning Tool Stamparatus

Ok… so this week’s Stamparatus 101 video was inspired by a question I was asked by a viewer on YouTube; How do you stamp on 12 x 12?

I hope that the video answers the question… but I also have a fun Scrapbook page for you to!

This page came together really quickly, partly because instead of measuring and carefully cutting each layer I chose to rip the card stock and Designer Series Paper…. but also because I wanted to focus on that stamping in the background.

How to use the Stamparatus to stamp on 12 x 12 card stock with Stampin' Up!

The video tutorial shows exactly how I used the Stamparatus to create this fun stamped effect… but I used the Petal Palette Stamp set, along with two new purple tones; Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, to pick up on some of the purple tones in the photograph

Tips:

  • Test stamp on an old piece of Designer Series Paper, or cut down Grid Paper before you stamp on your good card stocks
  • Try turning the card stock to create different looks and patterns using stamps
  • Use a mixture of stamping techniques to create depth and texture

I have a heap of crafty plans for tomorrow… what are you crafting this weekend?

How to make a pretty thank you card with a tree from Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges #020 Sketch Challenge with Rooted in Nature

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun and fabulous sketch challenge! You can check the challenge and the other Design Team Members projects out over at Inspire.Create.Challenges

Inspire.Create.Challenges Sketch Challenge Tree Thank You Card using Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Ok, so I have a confession… this is the second card I made for this challenge (I plan to share the other one with you on Saturday!)… but this one is my favourite! This happens to me often, when I make a card for an occasion, go away, fall out of love with it and make something else! I’m sure I’m not the only person this happens to!

I do have a bit of an obsession with the Rooted in Nature bundle…. but I’m not apologising for sharing it with you! This bundle HAS to be one of my top picks from the new Stampin’ Up! 2018 Annual Catalogue!

Thank you card using Rooted in Nature from Stampin' Up!

This large tree in particular is one of my favourite pieces, along with it’s coordinating die! I’ve kept the colour combination simple; with Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.

The card is finished with a bow in Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine

International Blog Highlights | Friendship with Jar of Love

How to make a bold friendship card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah International Blog Highlights Friendship with Jar of Love

Kylies International Blog Highlight banner

Well, I don’t know what happened last month… other than spending the entire month with my head in the shed! I managed to miss both this blog hop, and another one…. but it’s now June, and I am determined to make every single one of my blogging commitments! So, here we go….

This month’s blog highlight theme was Friendship… and while my mind immediately went to the Love What You Do stamp set with that pretty Friend sentiment, I found the Jar of Love stamp set on my shelf, which has an equally pretty set of Friendly sentiments too!

Pretty Bold Fun Floral Friendship card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up!

I adore the flowers in the Jar of Love stamp set! Over the past couple of years they have become a bit of a ‘go to’… although I feel like they have been a bit un-loved of late!

This card was bourne from a previous card idea… that I had cut the card base for, and embossed the panel, and then obviously got distracted from, as I found them in a pile of card stock during a recent Craft Room Purge! I also found the strip of Basic Black, the Berry Burst and the Stitched Circle…. don’t you love when you can use your scraps and cast offs!

Kylie's International Blog Highlights Friendship card using Jar of Love from Stampin' Up!

There are heaps of more Friendship themed project over on Kylie’s blog… where you can also vote for your favourite!

Crafting on a Sunday Morning | Male Appropriate Cards…

Facebook Live Video Tutorial How to make a male card using Animal Outing from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Crafting on a Sunday Morning Male Appropriate Cards…

Stampin' Up! Facebook Live StampinByHannah UK

Every other Sunday morning I go Live on Facebook… and this morning we had heaps of fun making men’s cards! In honour of Father’s Day next weekend, I thought it was about time I gave you some fabulous male inspiration… that was until I remembered that ALL of my guy themed stamp sets retired at the end of May! However, I dug deep into my Stamp Stash… and I think I came up with 3 fun male appropriate cards!

Watercolour Father's Day Card using Basket Weave Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

This first card would make a perfect Father’s Day card. Sometimes we are over-taken by the need to throw our entire craft room at a card… and while that has it’s place, guy cards ain’t it! I love keeping things clean and simple for cards for the guys in my life. Here the focus of the card is that fun watercolour lettering; layered with a piece of Coastal Cabana (Yum!) and some Basket Weave Embossing in night of Navy.

Fun Bicycle Card using Stampin' Up! products

One of my favourite guy themed stamp sets is Bike Ride…. while it’s not guy exclusive, I use it regularly for men’s cards. Check out the video for how I used the Stamparatus to create this card…

All of the cards in this week’s Facebook Live used my Standard Card Measurements.

Facebook Live Video Tutorial How to make a male card using Animal Outing from Stampin' Up!

The 3rd and final card uses a probably unexpected stamp set; Animal Outing. While this card is designed for children’s cards, I can see heaps of fun cards for adults too. Here it’s paired with the Nature’s Poem Designer Series paper, and hint of Linen Thread.

Don’t forget to check out the video over on my Facebook page to enter this week’s giveaway… and Like my page to be notified the next time I go Crafting on a Sunday Morning!

Pootlers Team Blog Hop | Welcome to the new Annual Catalogue!

Fun Congratulations card using Hand Delivered from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Pootlers Team Blog Hop Welcome to the new Annual Catalogue!

Pootles Stampin' Up! Team Blog Hop

Oh dear… so this morning was a bit of a disaster! My blog post didn’t go live quite when it should… and then I managed to delete everything I had written! Oh the joys of trying to sort out a blog hop on your phone! I really should know better, particularly as I set the date…. but I obviously wasn’t paying attention when I planned the team blog hop for the morning after going to see Ed Sheeran at St James’ Park in Newcastle (he was AWESOME by the way!)

So, here is the second version of this blog post…. I hope you enjoy!

Hand Delivered Watercolour card using Stampin' Up! products

When taking part in team blog hops, I like to try and make a project fit for them… and I think this card fits the bill! It uses the lovely new Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set; Hand Delivered, which although looks tricky to stamp (because the girl’s legs and body are actually two separate pieces) but it lines up really easily, even when stamped in Clear Versamark ink, and heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Fun watercoloured Congratulations using Hand Delivered from Stampin' Up!

I’ve used a heap of new colours on this card… you can find the full list at the very bottom of this post… and one of my favourite techniques ever; watercolour. The card stock is Thick Whisper White, so you have to work quickly, but you can still get some lovely watercolour effects.

I would LOVE for you to check out the other ladies who have taken part in the Pootlers team blog hop today… click through them all using the list below, and I hope to see you again soon

Cute Stamped Vellum boxes for Yankee Candles

How to make cute Vellum boxes for Yankee candles with Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah Cute Stamped Vellum boxes for Yankee Candles

I love to craft, I make more cards than anything else…. but every once in a while I like to try something 3D. I bought a pack of Yankee candles ages ago, and they’ve sat on my ‘inspiration’ shelf ever since…. until now!

Fun stamped vellum box using Painted Harvest from Stampin' Up!

My friend Sally made a really cute box wrapped in Vellum a few months ago… and took the idea as inspiration here. The vellum is stamped using one of the leave stamps from Painted Harvest. I LOVE the look of stamped vellum… it’s one of those techniques that looks tricky, but is actually super easy. Just remember that Vellum can take a little while to dry, give it some time, and then hit it with your heat gun!

Measurements:

Card stock; 8-1/2 x 7-1/2″ (22 x 18.5 cm)

Score on the long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8″ (5, 10, 15, and 20 cm)

Score on the short side at 2, 4-1/4, and 6-1/4″ (5, 10.5 and 15.5 cm)

Vellum; 8-1/2 x 2″ (22 x 4 cm)
