Welcome back! I am so glad to be back, have you missed me, I haven’t written a blog post or filmed a video for about 3 weeks, and I cannot wait to get back into the swing of things. I hope you had a great Christmas and a lovely New Year.

I haven’t had the past few weeks off completely though, I have been super busy packing catalogues, planning and crafting ready for the start of the Spring Summer catalogue and the start of Sale-a-bration on Wednesday! I cannot wait, this year is going to be AWESOME!

What I Love

Yesterday I featured 3 Sale-a-bration products for Make It Monday, today I thought I would make 3 cards all featuring another one of our Sale-a-bration stamp sets – What I love

Sale-a-bration is the greatest sale of the year and it ends on Thursday! During Sale-a-bration you get to choose a free gift each time you spend £45, you get an extra £20 in Stampin’ Rewards when you order over £200, or you get an extra £30 worth of goodies if you choose to join my team of Stampin’ Friends!

So, This is the What I Love stamp set, and it is completely FREE if you spend £45 in my store before Thursday!
All 3 of these cards feature the masking technique, all using my beloved sticky notes! For this card I stamped the sentiment first in Blackberry Bliss before covering with a piece of sticky note tape.

]The flowers are stamped in Perfect Plum and Blackberry Bliss. I love a great layering stamp set, and this one is awesome! The flower is made up of 3 stamps, two more solid stamps and one ‘outline’ stamp, and it makes you look like an artist just with stamps and ink! Love that!

The second card features the smallest stamp in the set. This cute flower stamp fits on the smallest Stampin’ Up! clear block and is so pretty. Here I stamped the ‘Thank you’ first in Mint Macaron, before covering it was a mask punched out of sticky note (I used the type that has sticky all over it here) and then stamping the flowers around the circle. The colours used here are Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.

The final card used the negative of the mask used on the previous! After stamping the flowers and leaves I added Blackberry Bliss ink with a sponge, and coloured the leaves and flowers with Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow ink and a blender pen

I hope you have loved Sale-a-bration as much as I have. Along with the end of Sale-a-bration I’m re-evaluating my business, I’ve had a heap of stuff going on over the past 6 months and have not been able to dedicate as much time to you guys as I would like. So, until things settle down my live events are on hold. I love holding classes and events, but I’m just not able to guarantee time to prepare properly and I don’t want to short change anyone on my events. However, my blog will continue as is, posting 4 -5 times a week and my (almost) weekly newsletters are also here to stay. Hope you guys are all well, and I’ll see you again on Thursday!

Flowering Fields

I will be honest with you, I wasn’t going to share this card. I had a plan and it didn’t really work, and so once I had photographed it, this card has sat on my desk quite lonely as card after card has passed by. However, I have sort of ran out of cards …. my crafty mojo has up’d and left, and I have been left with crafters block! and so I’m sharing this card today, in the hope that my mojo returns soon and that you aren’t left hanging without some inspiration, if this card inspires you at all please do let me know, I would love to see your creations!

This was the final attempt of many, I initially intended to stamp each flower in versamark and heat emboss in clear before adding a wash of colour over the top (which I may still do) but something went wrong (not that I can remember what) and I then tried to stamp in colours adding water to see what happened!

Well, it turns out, not much. I think this is more because most of my ink pads are a little dry and in need of re-inking, or maybe that I picked the wrong colours. The colour bleeding worked well with the Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo, but not so much with paler colours like Pear Pizzazz or Pool Party (which is so faint that you can barely see it!)

So, maybe I’ll try this card again and see if my mojo returns ….

Stampin' Up! UK Thank you card Crazy About You English Garden

Hello Everyone! I am so pleased to see you. This post is a little bit different from my usual postings, as I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s Blog Highlight! This is a totally cool concept whereby you can head over to Kylie’s blog HERE! and see heaps of really cool projects from Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators all over the world and vote for your favourites. Awesome!

So, for those of you who have never been here before, Hi! I’m Hannah and I live in Stockton-on-Tees, in the North East of England. I was thinking about a good way of describing Stockton-on-Tees and struggled slightly, but some pretty cool things have be invented here including the Friction Match, it is the site of the first public railway, and where the second series of Benefit Street was filmed. I think that’s enough about where I live…..

This card is actually a CASE of myself! When I went to make a card for this totally cool blog hightlight thingy I really struggled to come up with anything (I’m really fighting with crafters block at the moment, I’m blaming working 44 hours a week as a nurse on a dementia unit, I’m just really tired!). So, I was in my craft room a few days ago, starting to panic about not having anything made yet, and I spotted THIS card from a blog hop a few months ago sat on the card display, and so I thought I would make it again!

I love getting inky, and so this technique is one of my favourites, there are actually four colours in ink blended on this this card; Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Rose Red, and then I used Sahara Sand to tone the PINK down a little.

The little pieces of Designer Series Paper are scraps from English Garden, layered along with a piece of the gorgeous white Metallic Glitter tape from Sale-a-bration.

Pootlers Sale-a-bration Blog Hop!

Oh yes, its that time again! Time for a Pootler’s blog hop. I will admit that thought I organise the Pootler’s blog hops, this time for me it has all been a bit of a mad rush. Over the 2 weeks of Christmas I managed to get 3 days off, and so my business has had to take a bit of a back seat. However, things are slowly getting back to normal, and with the launch of the latest catalogue and start of Sale-a-bration I’m all yours again.

This card features two of the Sale-a-bration products for this year. The Designer Series Paper is called Wildflower Fields. I love the colour combination of this paper, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey and Old Olive, just gorgeous! I featured this paper last week as well, during my Sneak Peek feature, as I included some samples of it in my customer catalogues.

The Hello is taken from one of the limited time products also called Hello, only available until 15th February, this adorable stamp set would be perfect for children’s birthdays or new babies.

I’ve added a few sequins from the Brights Sequin Assortment that the lovely Sam (aka: Pootles) sent me last month, not only are they great colours (of course!) but there are several different shapes of sequins in the pack, circles, hearts and stars. And who doesn’t love a couple of sequins!

Sale-a-bration is the biggest event on the Stampin’ Up! calender, its a great time for both Customers and team members to earn a heap of free goodies just for shopping! This year there are 11 products to choose from, with 3 leaving us early around Valentines day (but I know that there are some more to come!). Each time you spend £45 you get to choose one of these great items, but it gets better, because if you spend £90, you get to pick 2 products! and 3 items if you spend £135! Awesome!
