Indescribably Easter

Its not long now until Easter, and so this week I have a whole week of Easter themed projects all lined up and ready for you!

Stampin' Up! UK Indescribable gift Easter

This is a really simple card, and actually the camera hasn’t picked up the stunning details of the glitter I have added to the centres of the flowers from the lovely Indescribable Gift stamp set, stamped here in Pool Party. I dotted the 2-way glue pen around the flowers, and added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

I love this stamp, it’s so beautiful just as a line image – here its been coloured sparingly with the Stampin’ Write Markers in Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, and Pear Pizzazz.

Gorgeous

What crafty projects have you planned for Easter?

Sale-a-bration on Sunday

Ok, so I will admit I had sort of forgotten about Sale-a-bration on Sunday this week! So I apologise for the quality of the photo, but it is all a little bit last minute!

This week has been a little crazy round here – a long overdue visit to the grandparents at the beginning of the week, followed by a manic two days in the office, wedding stationary consultations, fabulous one-to-one training with my wonderful upline, a friends wedding, and a craft fair (today) has seen me slightly out of the game. I have had to cancel my Crafty Crop this month, as I just can’t be in two places at once. I’m so sorry, and but I have made a bonus blog project next week to make up for it!

So, card for today. Today is the very last card for Sale-a-bration on Sunday! I cannot believe how quickly the last 3 months have gone! you still have a week to get your Sale-a-bration orders in, and next week I shall round up all the things I have made with the lovely Sale-a-bration goodies this year

Stampin' Up! UK Sale-a-bration Irresistibly yoursI could not let Sale-a-bration end without using the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper one last time! This time, Its sponged with Pear Pizzazz Ink, and the stamped using the Best Day Ever Stamp set.

I love the layers under the sentiment too – Decorative Label, Modern Label and then the sentiment on a 1 3/4″ circle

A vision in green!

Thank You Something Lacy!

When I’m creating I find that I’ll use the same products a few times on a few projects, then usually when I’m writing them all up for you guys, I split them up into different weeks. But I just had to share these cards with you!

I’ve been loving using the Something Lacy background stamp – I know it’s in the Wedding section of the Spring/Summer catalogue, but think outside of the box with me for a while. Although I love it stamped in subtle colours like Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand, I wanted something a little brighter for my customer Thank You cards this month … are these bright enough for you?

Stampin' Up! UK Something Lacy In Colours Thank You

They use the latest selection of In-Colours; Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.

The Thank You comes from the Sale-a-bration set Simply Wonderful – I am really going to miss it! It had featured on quite a number of projects recently – Don’t forget Sale-a-bration ends on the 31st March, order before then to get one of these lovelys delivered to your post box!

I do love a good CASE…..

I read a fair few Stampin’ Up! blogs, I love looking through Facebook groups, Pinterest boards and seeing what other people have created.

This card was originally created by Amanda Fowler of Inspirin’ Inkin’.

Stampin' Up! UK Petal Potpourri Inspiring Inkin CASE Melon Mambo

It was the background of the original card that really inspired me, as much as I love this flower – and was after a different way to use it when I came across the original blog post.

To create the softly stamped background – Ink your background stamp with Sahara Sand ink. Stamp it off once, and lay it rubber side up on your desk. Place your cardstock on the top (gently!) and rub over small areas of the card with your fingers.

I used the new Something Lacy stamp here but it works just as well with the Dictionary or Chevron background stamps

This card is finished with one of those lovely Petal Potpourri punched flowers and a Melon Mambo button threaded with white Bakers Twine.

Sale-a-bration on Sunday – Natures Perfection!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed Sale-a-bration week as much as I have!

Sale-a-bration ends on the 31st of March so you don’t have long left to grab the awesome stamps and accessories. Unfortunately the Blendabilities have been discontinued, and are no longer available.

My card for today, or rather, cards for today feature one of the new Sale-a-bration releases – Natures Perfection. Its a lovely mix of floral and leafy images, and is gloriously simple. I love it!

Stampin' Up! UK Natures Perfection Simply Wonderful

This first card is a mix of almost all the stamps in the set. I love bright colours, and here I have used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive to create the frame of stamped images. I think this card would be gorgeous in neutral colours too… but I just couldn’t resist the lovely brights collection this time.

Stampin' Up! UK Natures Perfection Thinking of you

Onto something a whole lot simpler! The sentiment is from Crazy About You, and is stamped in Early Espresso to contract the Bermuda Bay of the flower. I love a versatile stamp set, and I think this proves that Natures Perfection is perfect for happy and sad occasions.

Stampin' Up! UK Natures Perfection Thanks

This final card is part of a Hostess gift I presented to one of my Sale-a-bration hostesses. As part of Sale-a-bration Stampin’ Up! challenged demonstrators to book 2 (or more) parties in March. Well, I managed it! and will soon be receiving my prize – another one of the many reasons I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. If you want to find out more about earning Free products, attending events, and making some great Stampin’ Friends, drop me a message HERE, or check out my Join Me page. I am currently being challenged again to find another new demonstrator before the end of Sale-a-bration! help me complete my challenge (gifts will be provided!), oh and if you sign up during Sale-a-bration Stampin’ Up! will reward you too with either a kit from spring/summer catalogue, or 2 Sale-a-bration items!

Fancy Fold Friday – Sale-a-bration Swing Card!

Sale-a-bration is the 3 month long BIG sale from Stampin’ Up! Finishing on 31st March 2015, it gives you a choice of 14 FREE items to choose from when you order £45, and each £45 spend gives you an extra item – so if you spend £90 you choose 2 gifts, £130 – 3 gifts etc. etc. Check out my Sale-a-bration page for more information!

Before I get into this card, I have a confession to make (actually its two!) firstly, I made a mistake in the video, please use the measurements posted below – do as I type and not as I say!, and I’m sorry but I only have the metric measurements for this this card – imperial was just too much for my brain!

I also cannot take credit for this card – the design is totally down to the gorgeous Catherine Pooler – you can see her Imperial version of this card HERE

Stampin' Up! UK Sale-a-bration swing card Catherine Pooler

This card uses the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper – Best Year Ever, and Stamp set – Simply Wonderful, but today isn’t really about that, its about that fabulous swing!

Measurements:

Cardstock – 14 x 17 cm

On the long side first score at 7 cm from the top down to 3.5 cm and from 10.5cm to the bottom, repeat this at 10cm

Then turn your cardstock so that the short side is on the top and cut at 3.5 cm from 3 cm to 7 cm, and from 10 cm to 14 cm. Then cut at 11 cm, from 3 cm to 7 cm and 10 cm to 14 cm

Turn your cardstock back so that the long side is at the top, and cut at 3 cm from the top cut line (at 3.5 cm) to the bottom cut line (at 10.5 cm), and repeat this at 14 cm

You then need to matting layers:

cardstock – 6 x 10.5 cm

Designer Series Paper – 5.5 x 10cm

This beautiful stamp set could be yours for FREE when you order £45! LOVE it!

Big Day! for a great technique!

This stamp set was designed for use with the fantastic Chalk paper and Chalk inks that are available in the latest Spring/Summer catalogue. But, I didn’t want to just show you what is in the Sale-a-bration booklet, so here we go with a great technique instead.

Stampin' Up! UK Big Day sale-a-bration Bokeh

This technique is everywhere right now! Bokeh is a photography technique, made popular but phone photo apps, where light is used to make spots on the lens of the camera – but it is also a really fun inky technique too!

Firstly, I sponged my piece of Whisper White cardstock with Pink Piroette, Perfect Plum, and Elegant Eggplant to create a coloured background. Then I took a piece of window sheet and created a mask by punching with a variety of sizes of circle. That window sheet mask then creates those fabulous white circles. Place your mask over your cardstock and apply White Craft Ink through the mask with a sponge dauber, the more ink the whiter the finish! I did this across the cardstock to create this look. Be warned though – Craft Ink is a pigment ink and takes a while to dry. I left mine overnight but you can dry it with your heat tool.

Once it was all dry I stamped the cake stamp over the piece in Sahara Sand, and finished the card with a cute tag.

This beautiful stamp set could be yours for FREE when you order £45! LOVE it!
