Ooops…. somehow I forgot to post the cards and video from my last Facebook Live here on my blog! I do apologise!

t I have another Facebook Live scheduled for next Wednesday, 1st November. I hope to be better organised at getting them over here.

Just Because Patterned Paper Card using Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper from Stampin 'Up!

October is Designer Series Paper month at Stampin’ Up! with a fabulous Designer Series Paper sale, Buy 3 Get 1 Free. There are some fabulous packs in this sale… you can find them all HERE!

Fun Just Because card how to use Patterned Paper in card making video tutorial using Oh So Eclectic from Stampin' Up!

These first two cards are super simple to put together AND they use lots of Designer Series Paper… great for working through that paper stash! This second card uses my favourite print in the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper pack…. I just LOVE all that colour!

Didn’t catch my Facebook Live video… see it by clicking the link below..

The second set of cards from my last Facebook Live uses the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper pack. I will admit that this pack made me a little nervous when I saw it in the catalogue, but we used it at a recent Team Training event and I fell in love with the patterns in this one.. and the colour combinations….

Sending Love Thinking of You Card using Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

This card was totally inspired by my friend Caroline… she also used the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper, but a different pattern. I love that our cards are similar and yet totally different! even though we have used the same supplies!

Love You card using Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

This final card uses the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper, along with the Lots of Love stamp set… and the lovely Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder (love that one!)… to create a simply, fun card. I am a sucker for a fun colour combination, and I think I might have to pull this one out again soon!

Inspire.Create.Challenges #003 | ‘Tis The Season

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!

Hello! Oh, I am so excited for today’s blog post…. The Inspire.Create.Challenge Design Team have a heap of fun Festive inspiration for you today so do click over and see everyone else’s projects too!

I am loving being a part of the Inspire.Create.Challenges Team, and I would LOVE to see you join in with our challenges too.

This fortnight’s challenge is to create a Festive project! Now… when I sent this challenge out to the ladies I had many emails back going ‘Festive… is that Christmas?!’…. well, no. Festive could be anything, a celebration… you could make an Easter project if that really floats your boat!

I have gone for Festive = Christmas… but only because that it what I am working on in my Craftroom at the moment and I have Christmas stamps everywhere! However… I have pulled one of the Christmas stamp sets from the Annual catalogue rather than this years Autumn/Winter (which is awesome by the way!)

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!

This stamp set was my absolute favourite from last years Autumn/Winter catalogue and I was SO excited to see it carry forward into the Annual this past year. Christmas Pines has a fun collection of pinecones, leaves, and GORGEOUS sentiments… . I am such a sucker for  pretty font and this set is full of pretty fonts!

I have written a full tutorial that you can print… that you can find HERE!

Fun Christmas Card for Inspire.Create.Challenges using Christmas Pines from Stampin' Up!
Isn’t that cluster so pretty?! I stamped the Pine Leaves stamp 3 times in Old Olive, without re-inking inbetween to create a dimensional look. Then I used the Pretty Pines Thinlits to die cut 3 different sized leaves from Old Olive card stock and added them over the top of the stamping with Glue Dots.
Those Pine Cones are also in the Christmas Pines stamp set and have been embossed in Gold before being die cut with the coordinating Pretty Pines dies. The cluster is then finished with that gorgeous bow in Real Red card stock….. finally, I bow I can make look pretty!
I would LOVE to see your festive creations this week… check the Inspire.Create.Challenges blog to enter.

Global Design Project #109 | Just For You

Global Design Project Just For You Watercolour Card using Merry Little Christmas from Stampin' Up!

I had a busy day in my craft room yesterday… but was really struggling to get creative. So, I turned to an old favourite – the Global Design Project – for some fabulous inspiration.

This week they are featuring a Colour Challenge…. and what a great combination they are working with!

The Old Olive and Black colour combination immediately pointed me at the lovely Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper from the Autumn Winter Catalogue… this festive paper features just three colours (Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White) and a range of Christmas/Winter-y images and more generic patterns. This paper is paired with the Merry Little Labels bundle in the catalogue and I have also carried that through onto this card.

Global Design Project Just For You Watercolour Card using Merry Little Christmas from Stampin' Up!

This is one of those cards with lots of layers of detail; from the Old Olive watercolour wash, to the punched Vellum Pretty label, the Loops of Gold Metallic Thread to the Gold Heat Embossed leaves from Painted Harvest!

Global Design Project Old Olive and Basic Black Christmas Card using Merry Little Labels and Painted Harvest from Stampin' Up!

I have another project this week with this colour combination…. check back on Friday for something extra special!

To My Main Squeeze….

Fun Husband Anniversary Card using Lemon Zest and the Lemon Builder Punch from Stampin' Up!

When I received the Lemon Zest bundle a few months ago I spent ages just staring at it trying to work out when on earth I would send a card with an orange slice on it! However… once I got over the images and looked at the sentiments I realised that this set is just perfectly versatile!

To My Main Squeeze Anniversary card using Lemon Zest from Stampin' Up!

The Lemon Zest stamp set comes bundled with the Lemon Builder punch… which is great for some quick leaves! The Be warned though… that lemon only fits in one way around! This card doesn’t use the lemon though, instead I used the citrus slices instead… which also coordinates perfectly with a punch – the 1-3/4″ circle! Fun Husband Anniversary Card using Lemon Zest and the Lemon Builder Punch from Stampin' Up!

When I said this card doesn’t use the Lemon stamp I wasn’t telling the whole truth… in fact it is stamped all over the background of this card to create a fun textured tone on tone effect.

Oh Hello Friend….

Oh So Eclectic Online Card Class sample using Stampin' Up! UK products

I have been playing around with the Oh So Eclectic bundle for weeks while I designed the 10 projects for my Oh So Eclectic class…. and I have been sharing a few of the extras around my blog this past week. This particular card is the card that sparked the class in the first place!

Hello Friend Just Because card using Oh So Eclectic and Eclectic Layers from Stampin' Up!

This fun card uses a fun colour combination of Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy and Berry Burst. I would LOVE to see what you create with this colour combo too… you can share it with me on my Facebook Page!

Stampin' Up! Colour Inspiration StampinByHannah

A few weeks ago I filmed a video that demonstrated how to use the fabulous Multipurpose Adhesive sheets… I die cut that gorgeous Berry Burst intricate flower and added it to a piece of Vellum. This piece then sat on my desk for weeks! I wasn’t binning it, too pretty, and I knew it would find its way into a project at some point…. and this was the project. I did cut it again, so that the flower was free and adhered it to the project with a touch of Fine Tip Glue.

Oh So Eclectic Online Card Class sample using Stampin' Up! UK productsThe other flower is unusual too… it uses that Fine Tip Glue Masking technique again! Yes I am obsessed! This flower is also die cut out and added to the card with a dimensional.

The dies in this bundle are fabulous! Not only do some of them cut the stamped images, there are accent pieces too (like that lovely background piece!) and some dies that emboss rather than cut. Plus the die set also coordinates with a second stamp set too (You’re Priceless!)

What is your favourite colour combination to use at the moment? Let me know in the comments below…

Inspire.Create.Challenges #002 | Happy 30th Birthday!

Inspire.create.challenges bold and bright 30th birthday card using Number of years from Stampin' Up!

Hello! It’s time for another Inspire.Create.Challenge! I know, the first one went so quickly…. hope you are going to take part this time around too! Check out the Inspire.Create.Challenges blog for a heap more inspiration with this weeks Sketch Challenge.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 002 Papercraft Sketch challenge

I love a simple sketch… and so designed this sketch to give the Design Team as much freedom as I could without presenting them with a large empty box! At the time of writing this, I haven’t seen what they have made with it, and I cannot wait to see! They are all so talented, and I know that everyone’s creations are going to be so different!

Inspire.create.challenges bold and bright 30th birthday card using Number of years from Stampin' Up!

I really wanted to create something bright! My mum always complains my cards are muted colours… so I might make another version of this one for her birthday coming up! The stamp set at work here is Number of Years, along with the coordinating Large Numbers framelits.

The panel is in Crumb Cake, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The numbers are the same, but stamped onto Melon Mambo card stock instead.

Inspire.create.challenges bold and bright 30th birthday card using Number of years from Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is then stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and heat embossed in clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This quick and easy technique creates coloured embossing in any colour! There are two ways to do this:

  1. Ink your stamp in Versamark and then the colour… then add your Embossing Powder
  2. Ink you stamp in your coloured ink and then quickly add your Embossing Powder (this works well on Vellum as inks take a while longer to dry rather than card stock!)

Here the sentiment is heat embossed on Vellum, and stapled to a scrap of Whisper White (anyone else LOVE staples, or is it just me?!).

Nautical Guy Greetings Birthday Card

Guy Greetings Birthday Card using Wood Textures from Stampin' Up!

Guy cards are always a bit of a challenge… and they are even worse when you make a card and get told ‘its not manly enough’. I shared the card I originally made on Saturday… but this is the card that was eventually given to one of my Brother’s in law for his birthday last week!

Nautical Male Birthday card using Guy Greetings from Stampin' Up!

This is a bit of a CASE (copy and selectively edit) of THIS card by Teri Pocock. After I was left without a card, I turned to Pinterest for some inspiration and came across Teri’s card. I love the circle element with the anchor… and the wood! So, Teri used the Hardwood background stamp… but somehow that hasn’t found it’s way into my crafty stash, so I went hunting for a wood alternative and remembered about the lovely Wood Textured Designer Series Paper.

This paper stack is one of the 6 x 6″ ones, and you get loads of different wood effects in the pack. I am going to NEED another stack soon I just know it! So pretty!

Guy Greetings Birthday Card using Wood Textures from Stampin' Up!

The anchor is stamped in Dapper Denim on Watercolour paper, and I then took an almost dry Aquapainter and pulled out some of the colour to give this watercoloured effect. I love doing this with Stampin’ Up! inks… because they are water based they react well with water and allow you to stamp and colour without having to get ink everywhere!

The watercolour paper is cut out with a Stitched Circle, and matted onto a coordinating Dapper Denim circle cut with the Layering Circles dies.

Guy Greetings Nautical Birthday card using Stampin' Up! productsSeeing as it was a special occasion I stamped the anchor on the inside… and on the envelope too!

What’s your go to for making Manly guys cards?
