You’re Just Lovely with Oh So Eclectic

How to make a fun card using Oh So Eclectic from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah You’re Just Lovely with Oh So Eclectic

I have made SO many cards this with the Oh So Eclectic Stamp and Die Bundle! I LOVE the bundles in the catalogue, not only to they ensure you get stamps and dies that coordinate, they are also a great way to save cash! When you order a bundle (with its special order number) you save 10% over buying the items separately.

Fun ways to use Designer Series paper with StampinByHannah Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Yesterday I shared a fun way to use up some of those smaller scraps of Designer Series Paper. This card also uses Designer Series Paper, but you’re going to need a slightly bigger scrap. Good then that Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper comes in two sizes… most is 12 x 12″, while some is 6 x 6″… both are perfect for card making!

The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set coordinates perfectly with the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, as well as some other fun goodies…

Naturally Eclectic Suite…

You're So Lovely with Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The flower in the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set matches the one in the Designer Series Paper perfectly, particularly when stamped in Peekaboo Peach. The sentiment is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Just a quick heads up… we are due to get the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Retiring List this coming weekend (keep an eye on my Facebook Page for up to date news!)… but Designer Series Paper very rarely carries over… so if you love this paper as much as I do, I’d be grabbing it sooner rather than later as once that Retiring List goes live ALL items will go into While Stocks Last status… and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on your favourites!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Designer Series Paper Birthday Card

Make It Monday

This weeks Make It Monday video tutorial is the perfect card to make with the left overs from your April Stamp of the Month Club kit! This month’s kit features a heap of goodies from the Picture Perfect Birthday suite, and is perfect for making Birthday cards for all your friends and family! (yes, guys included!)

Quick and Easy Birthday Card Tutorial Using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

I have made this style of card before, and its definately not a new idea… but it is PERFECT for using up those scraps of Designer Series Paper. This is the time of year I go into over drive mode using Designer Series Paper, with Stampin’ Up! OnStage just around the corner, and a new catalogue on the way. It’s time to clear those paper shelves in preparation for some fabulous new designs that are coming really soon!

This card (believe it or not) doesn’t rely heavily on set measurements… I would suggest measuring your scraps and going from there. But here are the measurements I have used:

Measurements:

Check out my new Standard Card Measurements Page for my card base measurements!

Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper;

  • 14.3 x 10 cm
  • 6 x 9.5 cm
  • 7.5 x 4.5 cm

Pool Party Card stock;

  • 6.5 x 10 cm
  • 8 x 5 cm
  • 4.5 x 6 cm

Whisper White Card Stock;

  • 5.5 x 4 cm

The sentiment is taken from the coordinating Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set, and the finishing touch is a bow in Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.

How to do Ink Blending with Stampin' Up! Classic Ink and StampinByHannah Video Tutorial

StampinByHannah How to… Ink Blending with Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink

Stamping Techniques Series

I have been having so much fun with Ink Blending recently! On Tuesday I shared THIS card for the Go for Greece blog hop with the lovely Kylie Bertucci, and had a few comments about my ink blending… so I thought I would share a fun tutorial with you today.

How to make a fun friend card using Ink Blending and Lovely Inside and Out from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I think that most of my Ink Blending top tips are in the video… so do check that out!

The stamp set at work here is the lovely Lovely Inside and Out. I LOVE this stamp set, its great for heaps of different occasions with a bunch of mix and match sentiments… and I cannot get enough of those background images too.

Ink Blended For a Great Friend Card using Lovely Inside and Out from Stampin' Up!

I have been having loads of fun with layering recently, and this card is a continuation of that! Not only have I layered ink blending and tone on tone stamping… but then the heat embossed sentiment is layered with a piece of Delicate White Doily, some loops of Black Metallic Thread and a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots.

Oh! before I go, Sweet Sugarplum (the colour I’ve used in this card!) is one of the 2016-2018 In-Colours… and it’s due to retire REALLY soon, along with Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, and Flirty Flamingo! So, grab your In-Colour ink refills and card stock now before they sell out!

Go for Greece Blog Hop | Picture Perfect Birthday Card

How to create a fun birthday card using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Go for Greece Blog Hop Picture Perfect Birthday Card

Go for Greece Blog Hop

Oh man, I am SO excited for today’s blog hop! I have been taking part in more and more blogging events recently, with Inspire.Create.Challenge every other week, plus Kylie’s blog highlights once a month and the InspireINK blog hop. But, today’s event is even more special! I have joined with a fabulous group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world, all of whom are working towards the Stampin’ Up! 2019 incentive trip to Greece.

How to create a fun birthday card using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

This birthday card was inspired by the recent Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This fabulous group of super talented woman are just inspiring, and I just LOVE the projects they produce each and every month.

I made this card for one of my Stampin’ Besties’ for her Birthday last week. It uses the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and coordinating Picture Perfect Party, which will also be the StampinByHannah Stamp of the Month for April. I had heaps of fun creating this one, and I might just have had a proper play with my new Stamparatus too! This fabulous new Stamp Positioning Tool (coming in June!) just makes lining up those two step stamped images just so easy!

How to create a fun birthday card using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

This card features lots of lovely layers (my current crafting addition!)… with a corner of ink blending in Berry Burst with a hint of stamping over the top, Designer Series Paper and a heat Embossed Sentiment.

Global Design Project 131 | Happy Easter with Hedgehugs from Stampin’ Up!

Watercolour background Easter Card using Hedgehugs from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Global Design Project 131 Happy Easter with Hedgehugs from Stampin’ Up!

Global Design Project 131 Theme Challenge Easter

Oh my! It has been a good while since I took part in a Global Design Project challenge, but I’m on holiday from my day job this week and therefore managed to craft yesterday… and so made this fun Easter Card to celebrate!

How to make a cute Easter Card using Hedgehugs from Stampin' Up!

I have been having heaps of fun with the Hedgehugs stamp set this month, and have already shared a trio of fun cards on my Monthly Facebook Live video. The Easter challenge was a little tricky, because I haven’t got a single Easter themed stamp set this year, so I turned to these cute critters and the Labeler Alphabet for this one.

Global Design Project 131 Easter Theme challenge Happy Easter Card using Hedgehugs from Stampin' Up!

The background features a fun watercolour wash of Pear Pizzazz onto a piece of Shimmery White card stock. This is such a fun way to add a little extra something to a card, I am sure that it would have looked lovely in plain white, but you guys know I can’t resist an opportunity to watercolour!

The card is finished with a stamped strip of So Saffron card stock using that Hedgehugs stamp set again, and a hint of a doily.

Do you make Easter cards? Or do you prefer to give chocolate?

Make It Monday | Picture Perfect Birthday and Facebook Live…

Quick and fun Birthday card with a difference using Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Picture Perfect Birthday and Facebook Live…

Make It Monday

This week’s Make It Monday is a little late, but I hope that you enjoy it anyway. This past week has been crazy busy, and I just didn’t get chance to film over the weekend as it was James’ birthday yesterday. So, to make up for it, I thought I would do a short Facebook Live and a special project instead.

How to make a fun Birthday card using Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

I had heaps of fun making this card on Facebook Live earlier… Don’t worry if you missed it, I have the re-run below. I am LOVING Facebook Live, and you don’t have long to wait before my next one. April’s Facebook Live Online Card Class is on the 3rd April at 2PM, Like my Facebook Page and RSVP to the event to get reminders, and never miss a Live again!

This fun card features both the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper… both of which feature in April’s Stamp of the Month Club. More coming about that at the weekend!

Measurements:

Card Base; Bermuda Bay Card stock; 10.5 x 25.2 cm, scored on the long side at 14.8 cm

Basic Black; 2 pieces at 10 x 10 cm, and 1 piece at 10 x 4 cm

Designer Series Paper; 1 piece at 15 x 15 cm, 1 piece at 9.5 x 9.5 cm and 1 piece at 3.5 x 9.5 cm

Bermuda Bay; 9 x 9 cm

Whisper White; 8.5 x 8.5 cm

The inside of this card is where the magic happens… Don’t you LOVE a card with a surprise? I do. The envelope is super easy to make using the Envelope Punch Board. This envelope uses the 15 x 15 cm piece of Designer Series Paper and is punched and scored on each side at 3″. Check the video to see how this works.

InspireInk | Perennial Birthday Card

Soft and pretty Perennial Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! products

StampinByHannah InspireInk Perennial Birthday Card

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Hello! Welcome to the InspireInk Blog Hop! This month we are all creating projects with a sketch designed by Keila… I had heaps of fun with this one!

Soft and pretty Perennial Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! products

I’ve kept this card fairly true to the sketch, but have used the Perennial Birthday Stamp set to create this pretty and soft card. This stamp set is perfect for creating your own Designer Series Paper, small stamps stamped repeatedly to create a pretty pattern. The Stitched Shape die cut Circle features this technique.

The colour combination here is the key to this card though, and it would make a very pretty wedding congratulations card.

How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin’ Up!

How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin’ Up!

Stamping Techniques Series

Today’s video features one of the those techniques that I use so often that I forget to mention it! I know… I’m so bad! But, it’s super pretty and really easy. I actually used this one on my husbands Valentines card this year.

How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin' Up!

Faux watercolour is super easy to do… all you need is a fairly solid stamp, Stampin’ Up! ink and an Aqua-Painter. It creates a really pretty, soft effect, and is a great way to add that extra something to a card. I do of course have a couple of Top Tips:

  • Use Thick Whisper White card stock, Shimmery White card stock, or Watercolour paper
  • Ensure your ink pads are well inked and nice and juice-y
  • Use an Aqua-Painter that has plenty of water in it, but don’t squeeze… the water will naturally come out of the Aqua-painter as you use it, but if you squeeze you might flood your card stock and spread the ink too far
  • Have fun!

How to make a card using Faux Watercolour with Watercolour Wings from Stampin' Up!

The sentiment on this card is taken from the Beautiful You stamp set, and is punched out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch and matted onto the Pretty Label punched from Island Indigo.

Thoughtful Thursday | Just Because with Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up!

Watercoloured Just Because Card using Remarkable You from Stampin' Up!

StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday Just Because with Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator StampinByHannah Thoughtful Thursday

This week’s Thoughtful Thursday is one of those cards that you can batch make and save, ready for you to pull out at a moments notice. I have even left the sentiment off, so that I can add an appropriate one just before I sent it.

How to make a simple watercoloured Just Because card using Remarkable You from Stampin' Up!

This card uses the Remarkable You stamp set. I LOVE this stamp set for pretty sympathy cards, wedding cards, and Just Because type occasions. The images are pretty florals and this lovely Leaf print.  Here it is stamped in Basic Grey Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock. Then I took an dry-ish Aqua-Painter and watercoloured the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink. You can find another fun watercolour idea with this stamp set HERE!

Fun and fresh Just because card using Remarkable You from Stampin' Up! for Thoughtful Thursday

The background is dry embossed using the Hexagons 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for some added interest. I LOVE these dynamic folders, they emboss beautifully! Here I did spritz the card stock with a good amount of water before I ran it through the Big Shot. This makes the card stock a little ply-able and gives an even deeper emboss.

So pretty
