StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 016 Farewell Dapper Denim…
This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun farewell to the 2016-2018 In-Colours… I cannot quite believe that we’ve had these for 2 years already! I thought as we bid these colours goodbye, I would update one of the projects I made to introduce them! You can find that blog post HERE!
These cards use one of my favourite techniques; Masking with Fine-Tip Glue. It’s super easy to do, but it does take a little time as the glue has to dry (and it’s better if you leave it overnight). Here I have stamped two of the images from the Beautiful You stamp set onto Very Vanilla Notecards, using Archival Basic Black ink (but staz-on would work just as well). Then use Fine-Tip glue to ‘colour in’ the stamped images, making sure to cover the area fully.
Once the glue is dried, you can then stamp over it. I’ve used Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, and Emerald Envy, and one of the stamps from Touches of Texture. Where the glue is the ink won’t stick. Then, take a Stampin’ Sponge and sponge on more ink, making sure to wipe away the ink from the glue.
I can hear you asking why I haven’t used Flirty Flamingo… well, it’s one of the colours coming back as part of the Stampin’ Up! Colour Revamp! I am super excited about this, and will be sharing all of the details about that with you really soon!
Don’t forget to pop over to Inspire.Create.Challenges and see what the other members of the Design Team have created with these fabulous colours! And, if we have inspired you… why not share your makes with us over there too…
