Global Design Project 422 | How to use Watercolour pencils to create a cute Zany Zoo Card

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another Global Design Project challenge. This week its a very simple sketch, almost just a grid.

I’ve not had a lot of crafty time recently, thanks to a lot of very long shifts at the day job, the enormous number of children’s birthday parties and of course all the things that need doing in the lead up to Christmas. However, I managed to find most of a day to potter around in my craftroom yesterday (being disturbed only by the ASDA delivery driver!) and so got to making something for this week’s GDP.

I haven’t used my Watercolour pencils for ages… and I think I probably need more practice! I haven’t added water (or Blender pen) to these, choosing to embrace the sketchy look. Both the stamps and the Designer Series Paper are from the Zany Zoo suite in this years Annual Catalogue, I love these cute critters! So great for kids birthday cards! (which reminds me I need to get making a card for my son’s birthday on Thursday!)

Inspire.Create.Challenge | Creating with Zany Zoo!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah and this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge. This time out we have a fun inspiration challenge. Check out the Inspire.Create blog to see the inspiration piece (and the fab creations by the rest of the Design Team too!)

I haven’t used Zany Zoo for ages, but Karen’s card used two of the hippo’s from the Designer Series Paper. I have changed it up a bit, and used the cute dancing leopards from the stamp set instead.

Karen’s card was also a Fancy Fold… and while I do LOVE a Fancy Fold, all the measurements were too much for my brain this week. So, I flattened it and created this instead.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Bright and Bold suite (that’s the one with all the Balloons!) but I LOVE this piece of paper!

Technique Tuesday | Colouring with Zany Zoo….

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this months Technique Tuesday Blog Hop! This month we are Colouring… I absolutely LOVE a bit of colouring in, so relaxing. In actual fact, I coloured this card twice… because the first time I coloured and then die cut and the die slipped, So I coloured it again.

I’ve seen a few people reach for this cute Lama stamp and their Stampin’ Blends recently, and so was totally inspired to have ago. The Lama is Crumb Cake, with the chair in a blend of Daffodil Delight and Wild Wheat, and then the yarn and scarf is Moody Mauve.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #145 | Cute Childs Birthday card using Zany Zoo

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge. This time, Jo has challenged us to make a card for a baby or child. Now, I have two very small children (4 and 2) and so this should have been easy… except that I don’t really make cards for my kids, so the only stamp set that I have that is child-like is Zany Zoo.

Kept it fairly simple, kids don’t want the fuss of an overly layered card. However, I have got a video… you can check that out below. Please do pop over to my YouTube though and subscribe as I do post content over there that doesn’t always find its way here!

You can find the shopping list for this project HERE… and while I’m thinking about it, this Designer Series Paper is 15% off until the end of June!

Fathers Day Blog Hop | An Idea with Best Family Ever from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for a blog hop all focused on Fathers Day ideas. I know that Fathers Day can be difficult for some of you, and so I am absolutely not offended if you click away now.

Each year I am lucky enough to make 3 Fathers Day cards. One for my own dad, one for my husbands dad, and one for his step-dad. Most years they get the same card, but this year, they might be different as I am sure I will be totalling inspired by some of the cards in this blog hop!

Keeping things fairly simple for this card. Using one of the Basic 3D Embossing folders for the background, actually I just embossed the front of the card blank! and then stamping with Best Family Ever for the sentiment. There is only one ink colour on this card; Night of Navy, although I have stamped it off and then used a Blender pen to colour that cute critter from Zany Zoo!

Happy Birthday with Zany Zoo

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah! Today’s card is very special, it was my daughters 4th birthday last week (the last 4 years have gone so super fast… not idea how she is 4 already!), and so I had to make her a birthday card. She LOVES to spend time with me in my craft room, and while she doesn’t join in much, she loves to watch and chat while I craft.

This card was inspired by THIS card from Jaimie Babarczy…. and it does use a couple of retired bits. The cute critter and the Designer Series Paper are both from the Zoo Crew suite, and in fact this little guy isn’t stamped at all, but actually cut from the Designer Series Paper (using a die!) instead.

The large number 4 is sadly a long retired die, but its so perfect for the kids birthdays that it’ll be a feature in my craft room for quite some time yet.

With this card being so special, it also got a stamped inside. I always mean to do this for all my cards, but in reality, it only happens to cards I am actually sending!

And she got a cute envelope too!

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop | Designer Series Paper

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for the Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our technique is to use Designer Series Paper. I LOVE Designer Series Paper, I know some people struggle to cut their paper, but I really love to use it! Although, I like using little pieces… very much like on today’s card.

This card was inspired by THIS card by Kaylee Den Breejen. Kaylee’s card used coloured Designer Series Paper, but I am really enjoying using black and white at the moment, and the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper.

The stamped image here is from the coordinating stamp set, Zany Zoo, coloured using Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends.

New Catalogue Blog Hop | Fun with Zany Zoo…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today for a fun blog hop; sharing lots of ideas using goodies from the New Annual Catalogue. At the bottom of this post you’ll find a list of other blogs to visit today, please do check them out and leave some comment love on your trip!

This card uses the brand new suite; Zany Zoo! I absolutely LOVE this suite, its cute and funny, and the Designer Series Paper is versatile and adorable! The Designer Series Paper has cute critters on one side, and fun black and white prints on the other. Here I’ve used the black and white pattern, and stamped the sweet little racoon (who is then coloured with Stampin’ Blends)
