Hello!
So, in an effort to get myself back into blogging I thought I would do a challenge this weekend, and this sketch from TGIF Challenges! was just too nice to pass up. If you’ve been here before you know I LOVE a good sketch, although I do tend to mess with them a little bit; I turn the around, I change the shapes, and generally use them more as a jumping off point than an actual hard and fast card layout.
Saying that, I haven’t mess around with this one too much, just changed the sizes and order of some of the elements.
So, this card uses my favourite new products from the new Mini Catalogue; Peaceful Poppies. Firstly, just look at the at Designer Series Paper, it is SO gorgeous!
I chopped a few strips of Designer Series Paper, a few that are 1″ and a few that are 3/4″. Both these patterns are actually the same paper. I just thought I would show both sides!
The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set which comes in the Peaceful Poppies Suite Bundle. I love that Stampin’ Up! now give a single order code for a whole bundle, it makes shopping so much easier. I have to admit the WHOLE of this suite went straight into my basket when the catalogue launched to demonstrators last month.
I’ve switched a couple of the elements around to make this really bold sentiment piece sit on the top of all the layers!
To finish the card I added a layer of Vellum, and 5 of the red sequins from the Peaceful Poppies sequin pack… because every card I make at the moment HAS to have sequins on!
