Christmas in July | Merry Christmas to All

Hey folks! So it’s day 2 of this years Christmas in July and the card I’m sharing today is one of my favourite makes in AGES and it uses the Merry Christmas to all stamp set!

Seasons Greetings hand stamped Christmas card using Merry Christmas to all from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

There are only 2 stamps at work here; the sentiment and that pretty label stamp. The background was created by just repeat stamping the sentiment over and over down the card in Gray Granite ink. You could totally use your Stamparatus for this, but I’ve hand stamped it. Hand stamping repeatedly like this isn’t difficult, but it can take some time, particularly if your trying to make it all perfect. I wasn’t aiming for perfection however, as I prefer the slightly mess, bit wonky, imperfect look!

How to create a fun handstamped Christmas card using Merry Christmas to all from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The sentiment itself is stamped on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock in Memento Black ink, and then the label stamp added in Cherry Cobbler. This stamp set pairs with the Merry Christmas dies, and this label has a perfectly matching die.

To help make the sentiment really pop I’ve added a couple of layers behind it; a vellum Stitched Nested Label and a piece of the Very Vanilla Lace Trim.

Christmas in July | Fun with Dashing Deer

Christmas in July with StampinByHannah

Hey folks! I cannot believe that it’s July already, this year is going so fast that I can already see Christmas around the corner, so I thought I would dedicate (most of) a week to Christmas! I mean, it’s never to early to start on this years home made Christmas cards right?

The Christmas stamp sets are kind of hidden in this years Annual catalogue, but you can find them on pages 68-71. Which doesn’t seem like very much, but these 5 stamp sets pack a punch! That, and the Christmas catalogue is just around the corner. It launches in August for Demonstrators, and September for customers. So, if you want a sneaky peak, please do consider joining Stampin’ Up! with me, particularly this month when we’ve got the fabulous Extra Extra promotion going on too!

Christmas in July with Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The Dashing Deer stamp set has been in the catalogue for a little bit now, and I still love it. I mean, what is not to love about that deer stamp… and the fact that it has a coordinating die too!

I’ve tried to use some non-festive items on this weeks cards, so this card also uses the Country Floral 3D embossing folder too. It adds an awesome dimension to that circle piece without being too in your face.

How to make a fun hand stamped Christmas card using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This card has a bit of a twist on the traditional red and green Christmas. I’ve used Shaded Spruce, which I always think is very festive, but paired it with Lovely Lipstick, which is more of a pink that a red really. I think it works really rather well!

Happiest Christmas Wishes Card using Dashing Deer from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This card is finished with the sentiment heat embossed in silver. Keeping things fairly simply for the first day of Christmas in July! Check back tomorrow for another festive card creation!

You are Simply Wonderful with Bloom and Grow

Hey folks! There are some lovely stamp sets in the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue, but Bloom and Grow is certainly one of my favourites! I’ve not been able to put it away for long since it arrived in my craft room a couple of months ago. I’ve made some more complex cards with it, but today I thought I would share a simple Bloom and Grow creation with you.

Simple Floral card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

As well as being a sucker for a good stamp set, I am a little obsessed with colour combinations, and I love this one. Just Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite and Whisper White. Simple and classic.

How to make a simply Wonderful card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Bloom and Grow also has a really handy set of coordinating dies. Not only do they cut out the 3 floral images, but there are also leaves and some fun boarder pieces too.

Here the floral stamp is simple stamped in Gray Granite and then die cut, before being popped up on the card with Dimensionals. I love the look of these stamps just simply stamped, but I also love them coloured with Blends, or watercolour pencils, or inks….

You are simply Wonderful Blackberry Bliss handstamped card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I almost left this card with just the sentiment and floral die cut, but it didn’t look quite finished. So, I added a bow of Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine. Gorgeous!

Good Morning Magnolia Thanks Card and video!

Hey folks! Like I said, I have a few blog posts coming to you today, this one does include a fabulous hand stamped card and a video tutorial too using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.

Thanks you card using Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I have been having heaps of fun with the Magnolia Lane Suite, and have 2 fun events using it coming in the month of July! I’ll be telling you all about one of them this afternoon and then if you live locally to me keep watching for Sunday’s blog post!

Good Morning Magnolia Card Tutorial

This stamp and die bundle is stunning! Bundles are an awesome way to save some cash, as when you grab a bundle, rather than the stamps and dies separately, you save 10%.

Pretty Pink Thanks card using Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

One of my favourite ways to really make a card special is to use a few layers, and this card demonstrates that perfectly! So, we have…. Designer Series Paper, stamping, die cuts, ribbons and a punched sentiment piece. Of course, you could go further and add rhinestones or sequins too!

Fabulous Hand stamped thanks card using Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Also, how cool are these colour combinations? The blue version is Seaside Spray, Night of Navy and Blueberry Bushel, while the pink one is Rococo Rose and Lovely Lipstick. I LOVE that the two sets of In Colours coordinate this year, actually the new In Colours coordinate very well with lots of the permanent Stampin’ Up! ink colours.

InspireINK – Enjoy Today with Magnolia Lane

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Hey folks! I’m back blog hopping with the lovely InspireINK girls today. I had a little break in May while I had my baby, but I’m back and loving this month’s challenge. I’ve been playing with the Good Morning Magnolia bundle a fair bit over the past few weeks in preparation for my July events, and so the suite was out on my desk when I came to make this card (which might well have been yesterday afternoon… oops!)

InspireINK Card making sketch challenge June 2019

You guys know how much I love a sketch, and as usual I had a bit of a play around with the elements on this one. So things have changed shape and size a bit… but there are still 3 elements on the card!

Enjoy Today Card using Magnolia Lane from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The Magnolia Lane suite is a big one in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue, with lots of coordinating products and even a sort of mini suite to match! Here I’ve stuck to just the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and Good Morning Magnolia bundle, and added a few other bits I think go well.

Create a card with Magnolia Lane

Create a layered Wedding card using Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I’ve pulled colours out of the Designer Series Paper for this card, so everything coordinates. The card base, stamped flower and Rhinestone Gems are all in Petal Pink, while the other elements are Whisper White, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.

The banner element has been transformed into a Stitched Nested Label, because I just cannot get enough of these dies at the moment! and the label is also embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder for some extra texture and dimension!

Enjoy Today Layered Card using Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The card also has a couple of die cut leaves from the coordinating Magnolia Memories dies, and is finished with some loops of Linen Thread and a trio of those Rhinestone Gems!

Grapefruit Grove Daisy Lane Friend Card

Hey folks! I’ve gone for a monotone card today, but a colour I don’t use all that often; Grapefruit Grove.

Grapefruit Grove Daisy Lane Friend Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

I have been playing with the Stitched Nested Labels dies recently, they are definitely one of my new catalogue MUST HAVE’s. They are so handy for a simple focal point, great for sentiments and just add a lovely detail to a card.

Creating a simple Daisy Lane card using Grapefruit Grove from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

There is only one ink pad at work on this card. The background daisy’s have stamped off Grapefruit Grove while the Daisy and sentiment are stamped in full strength. I love this simple technique for a variation in colour when creating a simple card like this one.

Hey Folks! These Inspire.Create.Challenges are coming around awfully quickly at the moment, so quickly that it’s almost time for me to whip a whole new batch of challenges! (someone remind me to add that to my never ending To Do list!). This fortnights challenge is a pretty simple one, to use one or more of the new Stampin’ Up! In Colours

Inspire.Create.Challenge Colour Combination Stampin' Up! In Colours

I love this years In Colours; not only to they pair beautifully with the existing Stampin’ Up! colour families, but they also work so well as a 5 way colour combination on their own.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 046 Hooray card using Stampin' Up! In Colours with StampinByHannah

I have already shared 2 fun cards using this colour combination, and today’s card is one that could easily be a sister to one of those! One of my current favourite die sets is the Well Written dies, they just add an extra special something to sentiments, but also they make a card all on their own.

Time for a new adventure card using Well Written dies from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Do pop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog to see the other In Colour creations of the Design Team and add your own too!

How to create a Wreath with Daisy Lane from Stampin’ Up!

Hey folks! Today’s blog post is brought to you by one handed typing, my little girl is having one of those days where she just needs cuddles, and so I’ve currently got a baby in one arm while I type with the other. So, I do apologise for any spelling/typing errors!

When this Stamp Set landing in my lap, the first stamp I was drawn to was the fern leaf. I could make mountains of cards with the single stamp, it’s just one of those images I cannot get enough of!

Daisy Lane Wreath card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

This wreath effect is super easy to create too. I would recommend added the stickers to your stamps to help with positioning. These new Cling mount stickers are really easy to apply, and stop your stamps from falling off your clear blocks.

To create your wreath:

  • Draw a circle on your piece of card stock using a pencil. I tend to use a circle die but you could use your glass or pen pot from your desk!
  • Stamp the first leaf at the 12 O Clock position on the circle, then the second at 6, third at 3 and forth at 9.
  • Then add stamping between the images you’ve already stamped.
  • Make sure that you line up the same part of the leaf with the pencil line each time you stamp to ensure your leaves are the same size all the way around your wreath
How to create a wreath image with the fern leaf stamp from Daisy Lane from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I’ve kept the colour combination a simple one here, although I did debate for a good while about whether to go for blues or greens!

The sentiment is also taken from Daisy Lane and I’ve die cut it out using the Stitched Labels dies. I LOVE this die set, its so pretty and really very versatile too
