Inspire.Create.Challenge #055 | Bloom and Grow Thank you card

Hey folks!

So nice to see you this week, I’m trying to get back onto the blogging horse, and am aiming for 3 blog posts a week. I managed to blog twice last week, and I’m already writing this week a bit ahead of time so fingers crossed I can drop back into a routine!

Inspire.Create.Challenge colour challenge Night of Navy Old Olive Lovely Lipstick Blushing Bride Thank you card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun colour combination; Blushing Bride, Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy and Old Olive. I almost took a Christmas-y twist on this one, but then I spotted Bloom and Grow on my stamp shelves and went floral instead!

The floral spray is heat embossed with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then watercoloured with Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy and Old Olive. I’ve add a background wash in Blushing Bride, the sentiment stamped in Night of Navy and a trio of Night of Navy jems from the Noble Peacock suite to finish.

Watercolour thank you card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

All the watercolouring is done on the new Fluid 100 watercolour paper, available through Stampin’ Up! It’s SO nice, I love a bit of watercolouring and this paper is smoother than the previously stocked Watercolour Paper and so makes for such a nice finish.

Hop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog to see the other Design Team’s creations and add your own using the fun colour combination too!

See you next time!

InspireINK Blog Hop | Back to Basics with Christmas Gleaming

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

This months InspireINK Blog Hop has a fun Back to Basics theme. The lovely Dee tasked us all with creating a simple card using just one stamp set, one ink colour, and one punch! I love challenges like this, it really pushes my creativity, and makes me think outside the box a bit

Saying this, I’ve actually used a bundle that includes 2 punches…. but I’ve only used one on this card. So, I think that still counts, right?!

InspireINK Blog Hop Christmas is Gleaming Back to Basics Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

The Christmas Gleaming bundle is one of my favourites in this years Stampin’ Up! Christmas catalogue. It’s unusual in that its one stamp set and two punches, but it also has some GORGEOUS coordinating Designer Series Paper too!

Here I’ve used one of the stamps repeatedly, stamped off once, to create a fun background. Before stamping and punching the bauble, and stamping and fussy cutting the sentiment; all in Pretty Peacock ink.

Merry Christmas Card using Christmas Gleaming from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This simple card came together in a snap, and would be really easy to mass produce this year (particularly if you loaded up your Stamparatus with the stamps first!) and would look lovely in a whole heap of colours.

What some more inspiration on this rainy Saturday? Why not hop around these lovely blogs? Please leave some comment love as your on your travels too.

Hope you have a fabulously crafty weekend (I’m off to the Spa!) and I hope to see you again soon…

Beauty and Joy Team Swap Card

Hey folks!

Yes, I’ve finally managed to get around to blogging an actual creative project! This might well be card you’ve seen before, particularly if you received a copy of the Autumn Winter Catalogue from me in September, or if you took part in a recent team card swap.

Beauty and Joy Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

Beauty and Joy is one of those stamp sets in the catalogue that you might have accidentally skipped over. There are always a few hidden jems, and this one was so hidden that I didn’t remember ordering it! However, I’m so glad I did because its a really fun set to use. It features a collection of different pots and plants that covers a variety of seasons and occasions, and there are loads of looks you can create by mixing and matching different leaves, pots, stems and accessories too!

Here the tree leaves are stamped in Shaded Spruce (Stamped off once), with an Early Espresso trunk, Real Red berries and a Soft Suede basket pot.

A Joyful Christmas Card using Beauty and Joy from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I also couldn’t resist pairing this stamp set with some of my current favourite dies; these are the Stitched Nested Labels and they are so versatile they never seem to get put away!

Thanks so much for stopping by StampinByHannah today, and I hope to see you here again soon

Inspire.Create.Challenge 054 | Die Cutting with Gather Together

Oh dear, for all my crafty mojo is returning, the time I have to craft has completely disappeared!

However, I did manage to whip this card up in a flash over the weekend, all thanks to Stampin’ Up! now offering suites under one item number, meaning that I have a stack of goodies that all match! All I needed to do was pull the matching card stock and inks and this card was made in a flash!

Gather Together Wishing you well card for Inspire.Create.Challenge

This card uses the Come to Gather suite from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Winter Catalogue. I LOVE the colours in this suite, I have a bit of an obsession with Pretty Peacock which features heavily in the Designer Series Paper… but not on this card!

This card was made for this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenge which this time is a theme, and so the Design Team have made a whole heap of cards featuring Die Cutting.

Get Well Soon card using Come to Gather from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The pumpkins, stamped in Pear Pizzazz, are die cut using the coordinating dies. I LOVE that this pack of dies comes with duplicates, makes it super quick to die cut a bunch of images all at once.

Check out the rest of the Design Teams Die Cutting projects over on the Inspire.Create blog, and share your creations with us over there too!

Pootlers Blog Hop | Brightly Gleaming

Join the Number 1 Stampin' Up! Team in the UK

Welcome to the Pootlers Team Blog Hop! I am so proud to organise this fabulous group of ladies into this blog hop, they have made a heap of fantastic projects so please check them out at the end of this post.

Merry Christmas with Brightly Gleaming from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I’ve been struggling with my crafty mojo recently thanks to a bit of Post-Natal Anxiety (just one of the many joys of motherhood!)but I couldn’t NOT add a project into this blog hop! I’ve used the Brightly Gleaming suite for this card. This suite is up there with my favourite’s of all time, that Designer Series Paper alone is just stunning!

Brightly Gleaming Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! products for the Poolters Blog Hop with StampinByHannah

The baubles are from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set (that comes bundled with 2 punches!), and are stamped on Watercolour Paper in Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy. Then I used an Aqua-Painted to pull the colour, for this pretty watercolour effect.

Watercolour Christmas Card using Christmas Gleaming from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I finished with this card with a panel of Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, some loop of Mossy Meadow twine from the Magnolia Lane suite, and a trio of Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to see you again soon!

Inspire.Create.Challenge 052 | Most Wonderful Colour Challenge!

I’ve had a few weeks off from Inspire.Create, but after a fabulous team retreat at the weekend I’ve got some of my creative mojo back, and the baby has gone to sleep early so I’ve actually got time to write a blog post!

This fortnight’s challenge is a colour one… and its a bit bright! But I can’t wait to see what everyone creates with it. Don’t forget to pop over to the Inspire.Create blog to see the rest of the Design Team’s work and to add your own projects too

Inspire.Create.Challenge 052 Stampin' Up! Colour Challenge

I haven’t managed to craft much over the summer, and my Autumn Winter catalogue order has sat in my craft room pretty un-loved. However, I knew I wanted to dip into this new crafty stash for this weeks challenge.

Most Wonderful Time Christmas Present Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

Now, I know that Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape don’t sound very Christmas-y, I do LOVE a non-traditional Christmas colour palette, and I think this one works rather well!

Christmas Present Card using Most Wonderful Time from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley contains everything you need to create a heap of Christmas cards; stamp set and coordinating dies, heaps of Designer Series Paper, ribbon and sticker embellishments too! I’ll be working with this one all month ready for a very special class in October!

Non traditional Christmas Card using Most Wonderful Time from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

These 3 present stamps are actually one stamp, and the dies cut them out to be separate! The ribbons are then another stamp, which is how I have created these multi-coloured images. So, each set of presents was stamped 3 times; once in each colour, and then the ribbons added before die cutting. I wasn’t planning on adding all the die cuts to this one card, but the arranged themselves like this on my desk and I couldn’t resist!

What will you create with this fun colour combo? Don’t forget to share your creations over on the Inspire.Create blog!

Inspire.Create.Challenge 049 | Thank You Free as a Bird

Hey folks! It’s time for another Inspire.Create.Challenge project today, and this time we had a colour combination to work with. Now, for all I set the challenges for Inspire.Create I never seem to be organised enough to set a challenge that I can actually see a project for, and I have to admit that when this challenge appeared in my diary I did do a bit of a double take at the colours! But, it is a challenge for a reason…

Thank you card using Free as a Bird from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

So, the colour combination at work here is; Basic Gray, Mango Melody, and Pool Party… sorry girls!

I am still loving the Free as a Bird stamp set, but I realised that I hadn’t actually made a card with the single bird stamp! So, here we are. I’ve stamped it in Smoky Slate rather than Basic Gray because I’m a very bad demonstrator and my Basic Gray ink is retired Archival and so doesn’t work with Blends. But all the classic inks do.

Free as a Bird coloured with Stampin' Blends by StampinByHannah

I’m not very good with my Stampin’ Blends, but I am trying to practice, and so I’ve used Pool Party Light and Dark to attempt some colour blending on this bird. I’m happy with it, although it is pretty subtle. The beak is actually light Pumpkin Pie (because I don’t have the Mango Melody Blends… again, bad Demo!)

Free as a Bird Thank you card with Nested Stitched Labels from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The Free as a Bird stamp set also comes bundled with these fabulous Nested Stitched Labels dies. They add a little extra something to every card with their unusual shape and fun stitched edge, I can’t get enough of them!

Please hop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog for more inspiration using this strange colour combination from the fabulous Design Team, you can also share your makes with us there too!

Happy Birthday First Frost

Hey folks! As we get ready for the launch of the new Stampin’ Up! Autumn Winter catalogue in September I thought it would be fun to make some cards using winter sets but for different occasions. First Frost is such a pretty stamp set and has some lovely festive sentiments, but it also works well all year around.

Birthday card using First Frost from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I shared another card using this stamp set a few weeks ago as part of Christmas in July, and loved it so much that I thought I would re-create it for one of my Sister-in-Law’s birthdays too!

To make it more summer-y I’ve mixed up the colour palette, using; Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Call Me Clover and Blackberry Bliss for a really bright card.

How to create a summer-y birthday card using First Frost from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The stamping here is in two sections with the sentiment piece laid over the top. At first this card was really quite flat, but I added some extra stamping with some die cut pieces to really make it special

First Frost Birthday Card using Well Said and Well Written from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The card is finished with a sentiment using the Well Said stamp set and Well Written Dies, and a trio of In Colour Faceted Dots in Terracotta Tile

Congratulations with Bloom and Grow

Hey folks! I don’t know about you, but I make a LOT of cards and then never seem to send many. I even forgot a friends birthday a couple of months ago, but its OK, because I sent her this pretty card as a Congratulations for getting a new job. One of my current favourite stamp and die sets is Bloom and Grow (I’ve share it a fair bit here!) and I couldn’t resist getting it out again for this card.

Congratulations with Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The floral spray is stamped in Memento Black ink because I’ve coloured this one in using Blends. Although, there isn’t actually any blending! The colours used are; Light Blackberry Bliss, Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light Call Me Clover, Light Pool Party and Light So Saffron.

How to make a cute Congratulations card using Bloom and Grow from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The Congratulations sentiment isn’t from Bloom and Grow though, it’s actually from Well Said… which (along with the coordinating dies) is an absolute staple in my craft room at the moment!

Congratulations card using Stampin' Blends with StampinByHannah

I love getting a text message to say that my card has arrived, and it’s always nice to surprise someone with something that says ‘I’m thinking of you’.

Every single one of my customers receives a little handmade something when the order; often it’s a card, and sometimes is a little something extra.

Repeat stamping with Free as a Bird

Hey folks! If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while you’ll know that I’m a big fan of techniques, but I haven’t really shared any for a while. Time to correct that then, today’s card uses repeat stamping to create a panel using Free as a Bird.

Repeat stamping using Free as a Bird from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I also love the Free as a Bird stamp set (and the coordinating Bird Ballard suite), and for all I really like the birds in this set, its the little stamps that really make my heart happy. I shared THIS card using the little flower stamps a couple of months ago, and it’s taken me far too long to use them front and centre on a card again!

Simple stamping with Free as a bird from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Really this card is pretty simple, just some stamping, an embossing folder and a couple of layers of card stock. I think that this type of card are my favourite to make too, simple but effective.

Repeat stamping is a simple technique, the only thing you need to remember to be successful at it is to stamp the larger images first and then fill in the gaps with the smaller ones. It is of course, also easier using Photopolymer stamps as you can see exactly were you’re stamping. Here all the stamping is in Memento Black ink, and the card base is Pretty Peacock
