Hey folks! So, today’s card uses the stamp set from this month’s FREE Code Club Class; Daisy Lane. But, you wouldn’t know it, because there isn’t a Daisy in sight!
I just love this leaf stamp and have a couple of cards coming up that use just the leave, and no Daisy’s! Here it’s stamped in an Ombre effect across the card. Now, I did debate what colours to use, and almost went with blues, but in the end I stuck with traditional greens; Mossy Meadow, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.
This card would be perfect for a male encouragement card, or change the sentiment for a lovely birthday or even a with sympathy.
Before I go today, I do just want to mention about my In Colour Club; booking closes on Saturday! There are still a couple of places available, so grab yours today!

Hey Folks, its time for another fun Inspire.Create.Challenge and this time its a fun Embossing Challenge! I adore a good technique, and I think that embossing is one of those that is easy for a new crafter… once you’ve decided what time of embossing you’re going to do of course; Heat embossing or dry embossing with an embossing folder!
I made this card weeks and weeks ago, actually before baby Niamh arrived (when I was trying to be organised!) and so had almost completely forgotten about it! Cue me having a bit of a panic last week when I realised that it was my turn to write the blog post for the Inspire.Create blog, and that I had NO idea what the challenge was!
Sailing Home is one of my new masculine card favourites. It just makes really nice, simple cards. I’m sure I’ll be doing all sorts of techniques and fun things with it over the coming year, but today I thought I would stick to a bit of heat embossing and that lovely anchor image.
Both the anchor and the sentiment are heat embossed in gold, while the rest of the stamping is in Balmy Blue. Keeping things simple with just a hint of background stamping and a bow in the new Night of Navy and Sahara Sand Bakers Twine to finish.
Loving the embossing? Why not pop over to the Inspire.Create blog and check out the other Design Team members creations, and add your own embossed project too!

Hey folks! I am completely in LOVE with today’s card. I’ve had this one sat on my desk for weeks, but I’ve been waiting for the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coordinating punch to come back into stock before sharing it with you.
There are a couple of steps to this card, but it’s still simple to create… it just takes a bit of time.
I had a bunch of scraps of watercolour paper out on my desk, and I used Stampin’ Up! classic inks to watercolour them. I was really messy with this, because the butterflies are little and I still wanted you to see that they are watercoloured. There are 4 colours here; Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.
This is why this card takes a little bit of time, because once those scraps have been watercoloured they need to be left a little while to dry. I but them to one side and carried on making a few more cards before then using the Butterfly Duet punch to punch out those cute butterflies.
You guys know that I’m not a fan of flat cards, I love a bit of dimension, and so some of the butterflies are adhered directly to the card base, and some are popped up on Mini Dimensionals.
The sentiment is also from Butterfly Gala, and it’s heat embossed in White onto a scrap of Basic Black card stock.
For all this card could have been called finished at this point, I felt it just needed a little something, so I through a bunch of Rhinestones on there, because, well, you can’t go wrong with a bit of sparkle can you?!

Hey folks. Blog post is a little late this morning, basically because I’d forgotten to write it! However, baby is napping so I’ve got 10 minutes to get a bit of a catch up. Today’s card features one of my favourite new Stamp sets; Bloom and Grow
This pretty floral stamp set comes bundled with a set of dies too, and they don’t just cut out the flower images, but also have a couple of very cool boarder dies that I cannot wait to have a play with!
I’ve been a bit addicted to heat embossing recently, and this card is no exception with both the flowers and the sentiment being heat embossed. I have to say though, how pretty are those flowers heat embossed in gold?! sometimes simple is best, right?
Bloom and Grow is one of those stamp sets that I can see me getting a lot of use out of, partly because of the pretty fonts, but also because there are so many things you could do with those flowers; imagine them coloured with Blends, or watercoloured, or simply stamped in black and white, or used to create a wreath…. so many ideas, so little time!

Hey folks! It’s a special day here today, the first Pootlers Team Blog Hop of the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue! I absolutely LOVE taking part in these blog hops, the girls always work so hard to create some fabulous projects to inspire you with some of the new stamps and goodies in the catalogue. I also coordinate these hops, and with the recent birth of my daughter I did consider not running the hop this time, but, they are so much fun I couldn’t miss one!
This time I thought I would share a fun way of using the Free as a Bird stamp set. This stamp set is one of my absolute favourites in the new catalogue, and it forms part of just the most gorgeous suite of products. Bird Ballard includes a bright and fun pack of Designer Series Paper, pretty lace trim, some lovely embellishments and just the most beautiful tin and notecards. I’ll list all the goodies in this suite at the bottom of this blog post.
This card was inspired by my friend Stacey Marsh and a card she made using another new stamp set, Sailing Home. I just really liked the diagonal stamping, here I’ve used the pretty flower stamps from Free As A Bird and stamped in Stazon ink onto Shimmer White card stock
Then each flower was (very) loosely watercoloured in either Rococo Rose for the large flowers, or Mint Macaron for the smaller ones.
I did actually originally stamp the sentiment straight onto the card, but it just didn’t quite have the right impact. So, I stamped it again onto a scrap of card stock the same width as the stamped panel and popped it up on some dimensionals.
Now, I love this stamp set, but I do have one issue… it doesn’t have coordinating dies! So, that flower was fussy cut. But, it does actually cut out quite easily, or it does when you only cut one anyway!
Thank so much for checking out my blog today, I would be so grateful if you would check out the projects the other ladies have created for the Pootlers Team Blog Hop. Just click on the images below to be taken to each of their blogs, and I hope to see you again very soon!

It’s the last day of my 5 days of celebrating my 5th Stampin’ Up! anniversary and the release of the 2019-2021 In Colours.

There are lots and lots of lovely stamp sets in the new Annual Catalogue, but Sailing Home is one of my favourite masculine options. Here I’ve paired it with the last new In Colour; Pretty Peacock
I’ve kept this card super simple, partly because the card didn’t need any more embellishments and partly because I had a baby waking from nap time as I rushed to make this one!

This card was a real struggle to photograph, Purple Posy is such a subtle colour that I haven’t quite worked out my camera settings yet! However, I have a bit of time to get to grips with it as Purple Posy hasn’t been fully released today with the rest of the catalogue. Unfortunately there is a quality problem with the ink pad and so it’s not available just yet. I will of course let you know when this has been sorted
The Free as a Bird Stamp set is another one of my new favourites, and I have another card using it to share with you on Saturday. I am not the biggest bird fan, however, this stamp watercolours so beautifully and you guys know how much I love to watercolour!
So, this card doesn’t use Purple Posy ink at all, because I don’t have the ink pad either, but I do have the card stock and Designer Series Paper, so I’ve used that instead.
In Colour Club
I have a fun In Colour Club running over the next 5 months to allow you to collect all the colours, along with their card stocks, inks, markers, papers and more! Of course, Purple Posy features in this club, but club wont be affected by the current lack of an ink pad.
You can join in with my In Colour Club and find all the information HERE

Today’s card might be my favourite of the 5 days, I am just totally in LOVE with this stamp set! Bloom and Grow instantly hit me when I flicked through the catalogue, its floral, has coordinating dies and gorgeous sentiments! What’s not to love?
Seaside spray is a pretty soft blue, its super pretty and is going to be perfect for those Baby Boy birthday cards this year! It looks great with bolder colours too… check out the colour combo;
The coordinating dies are in the new Stampin’ Up! style packaging and line up slightly differently to the previous types of dies, however they cut beautifully. The new die packets are a slightly different shape to the old ones, but I expect that they will still fit in your storage (they fit in mine!)
In Colour Club
Seaside Spray is one of the 5 new Stampin’ Up! In Colours this year. Each In Colour is available in an ink pad, refil, card stock, Stampin’ Write marker, and has Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments to match too!

Day 2 of my 5 Days of Colour today to celebrate my 5th Stampin’ Up! anniversary and the release of the 2019-2021 In Colours. Today, I thought I would combine one of the new colours with one of my favourite carry over stamp sets; Beautiful Promenade.
This stamp set is just so pretty, and while both it and the coordinating Beautiful Layers Dies are carrying over into the new catalogue, the bundle price (which saves you 10%) is retiring, so grab it now to get a bargain!
This set is great for layering and has lots of pretty floral images in an almost graphic style, as well as a bit of my fav 2 Step Stamping! Here the flower outlines were stamped in White Craft Ink, before the petal details were added in Rococo Rose for a Tone on Tone effect.
I don’t think that this is necessarily the most obvious colour combination with this lovely soft pink colour, however it does work really really well and I am sure I’ll be reaching for these again very soon!
I am loving Rococo Rose and can see it being one of my staple colours over the coming months. Although that might be the influence of having a baby girl in the house!
If you love this colour as much as I do, why not check out my In Colour club to get all the fabulous goodies in this colour as well as the 4 other 2019-2021 In Colours.

Well, today is a BIG day, today is my 5th Stampin’ Up! Anniversary! I’ve had a fabulous 5 years being a Demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! I have met wonderful friends, visited some great places and played with heaps and heaps of gorgeous products! I am aware that this sounds like I’m done… I’m definately not! I cannot wait to see what the next 5 years have in store, although fitting everything in around Niamh is proving to be a little interesting (I see a lot of blogging during nap times in my future!)
So, how am I celebrating my 5th year? well, I have a LOT going on at the moment, so I’m keeping this one a bit low key… but I do have 5 fun blog posts for you for the next 5 days, each one featuring one of the Brand New Stampin’ Up! In Colours and some fun colour combinations!
I’ve kept this card fairly simple, because really this post is about the colour combination. But, it also features the Daisy Lane stamp set. This fun set coordinates with the existing Daisy Punch, and also happens to be the focus of my June Code Club Class (more on that next week!)
This flower is really easy to create with the Daisy Lane stamp set, the stem and leaves are actually one stamp, and then the Daisy stamp is simple enough to line up. I actually stamped the Daisy 4 times on this card, twice on Whisper White panel, and then twice on a scrap of card stock which I then punched with the Daisy Punch. To create the dimension, each petal was bent over my bone folder (think curling ribbon and scissors), and then the Daisy finished with a Clear Faceted Gem.
In Colour Club
Terracotta Tile is just one of the 5 new Stampin’ Up! In Colours that are released next week along with the new Annual Catalogue. In Colours are 5 fun colours that file gaps in the standard Stampin’ Up! colour range, they last for 2 years and have the usual collection of inks, card stocks and coordinating papers, embellishments and pens.
I have a fun In Colour Club starting in June, allowing you a simple way of collecting all 5 colours along with the coordinating goodies, PLUS a heap of inspiration and my monthly Code Club Class too! You can find out all about my 2019-2021 In Colour Club, and sign up, HERE!
