I might have made some changes to my Code Club in May, but my customers still receive a handmade card and sometimes an extra surprise too!
My April customers all received one of these cute cards at the start of this month. It uses the soon to be retired Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, along with a few goodies that are carrying forward too!
I LOVE a bit of Crumb Cake every now and again, and this card is a bit of a tribute to this lovely colour. The main panel of this card is embossed with the very lovely Country Florals Embossing Folder which is available in the new Annual Catalogue if you didn’t get your hands on it during Sale-a-bration.
The sentiment is taken from Petal Palette and is stamped in Early Espresso, die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.

Today’s card was totally inspired by the ever talented Debbie Hughes. Debbie does wonderful things with Watercolour, and her cards are always stunning and her recent watercolour butterfly card is no exception. For all Debbie works with another companies products, I could just see Butterfly Gala in her creation, and so just HAD to give it a bash!
Each butterfly is stamped in Staz-on ink onto a panel of Watercolour card stock. Because of the texture I use my Stamparatus for this job so that I can repeat stamp and get a clear image. I think each butterfly took 3 or 4 goes to get as bold an outline as I wanted.
Then each butterfly was loosely watercoloured. A single colour for each butterfly, Melon Mambo, Blackberry Bliss and Blueberry Bushel, and some coloured splatter added over the top.
Then, once the watercolour was dry, I added an ink blended boarder of Crumb Cake ink around the piece with a sponge. I LOVE the texture this creates on the watercolour paper, so pretty!
To finish the sentiment, also taken from Butterfly Gala, is stamped onto a scrap of Blackberry Bliss card stock and heat embossed in White, some loops of Silver Metallic thread and a handful of sequins scattered across too.

Well, this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a bright and bold colour combination that I have to admit had me a little stumped at first. However, I do love the card that resulted!
As always with the Inspire.Create colour combinations we are allowed to add neutral colours and so I’ve added Basic Black to really made these colours POP!
The Accented Blooms stamp set is carrying forward into the new catalogue and since I’ve cleared by Stamp Shelves of items that are leaving us in the Last Chance list its really jumped out at me at a set I haven’t used for a while. Here it’s stamped in Stazon ink onto watercolour paper and then watercoloured with the colours from the challenge.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and while it does coordinate with the Tailored Tag punch, I have hand cut it on this occasion.
This is where I got stuck! How to finish the card. In the end I plumped for a panel of Poppy Parade card stock embossed using the Country Floral Embossing Folder and a bow of retiring Black Shimmer Ribbon
Don’t forget to pop over to the Inspire.Create blog to check out the other bright and colour Design Team Creations as well as entering your own work into our gallery!

I am forever inspired by the work of other demonstrators. Last week I shared THIS card inspired by a fellow demonstrator on Instagram, and today I though I would share another card I made after seeing THIS fun card using the Stained Glass Technique from my Demonstrator friend Stacey Marsh.
This technique is so fun, and so simple! In fact, I know I’ve shared it before, but this time I’ve made a subtle but significant change.
To start the Stained Glass Technique, heat emboss the large butterfly stamp from Beautiful Day onto a piece of Vellum using White Stampin’ Emboss powder. Then, on the reverse of the vellum, colour the butterflies using Stampin’ Blends. Last time I used Stampin’ Write Markers; which works just as well, however Blends dry quicker and therefore the risk of smudging the ink is much reduced.
To make the Blackberry Bliss Blend Colouring really POP I the mounted the Vellum onto a piece of Whisper White, and then added this to a card base of Blackberry Bliss.
The sentiment is also from Beautiful Day, and has been heat embossed in White onto Blackberry Bliss. To complete the card, I wanted to add something extra, and in rummaging through my stash of embellishments I found the Clear Epoxy Dots and thought they would be perfect!

I love a simple card, and this card came together in minutes using the Springtime Impressions dies. I am so happy that these are carrying forward into the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue, along with the coordinating stamp set; Abstract Impressions. However they are currently available as a bundle that is retiring, so if you want to save 10% and get the bundle price you need to do so before the end of the month.
For all the butterfly die is quite intricate it’s not one I’ve ever had an issue die cutting. Here I’ve simply die cut it from a scrap of Whisper White and adhered in in the middle to a piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.
The sentiment is taken from the coordinating Abstract Impressions stamp set and has been heat embossed in White onto a scrap of Basic Black card stock. I love sentiments like this, they really pop on a card.
I’m sure you could add more layers, ribbon and embellishment to this card, but I wanted to keep things pretty simple today. I would love to hear what else you would add, let me know in the comments below!

I have been in a bit of a creative slump again recently, probably because I’ve spent the first 2 weeks of my Maternity Leave endlessly scrolling through Instagram (not helpful!). However, during my scrolling I have come across a bunch of inspiring cards, and this card was inspired by one of those. I wish I could remember who made the original, but for some reason I didn’t save it.
Rooted in Nature Encouragement Card
I haven’t had Rooted in Nature off the shelf in a while, and its a shame because it is just lovely! The stamp set is currently available bundled with the coordinating dies to save you 10%, but this will end on 3rd June, so I would be reaching for it sooner rather than later to get that discount!
One of the things I have noticed with my scrolling is that I am totally drawn to cards with lots of layers, and this card is no exception! With the embossed background and then layers of stamped, embossed and die cut pieces.
The sentiments in the Rooted in Nature stamp set are lovely, and so I’ve selected this one for our Blog Highlight Encouragement theme! I might just have to pop this card into my hospital bag for the lovely midwives… along with a big box of biscuits!
If you love this card as much as I do I would LOVE it if you would vote for me over on Kylie’s blog, and I hope to see you again soon

Over recent weeks the ‘Floating Frame’ card has gone somewhat viral on Facebook and Pinterest! I LOVE the idea, but I have to say I am not over keen on spending a fortune on Glad Press and Seal to get the technique to work. So, I had a think about how I could do this technique with things that are already in my craft room…. and hey, Washi Tape to the rescue!
I also couldn’t miss the chance to use the retiring Petal Palette stamp set one last time before the end of May, although I can already see some new stamp sets that are coming in the upcoming Annual catalogue that will work just as well.
This card has a few steps, and while I rest up and wait for baby to arrive I don’t have the energy to film a video for you. Instead, I thought I would break it down into steps…
How to create a Floating Frame Card…
Stamp the Petal Palette floral corner stamp in Memento Ink and use Blends to colour. I’ve used the Blackberry Bliss due and Granny Apple Green, with a hint of Flirty Flamingo here.
Use the coordinating dies to cut out the stamped images.
Then, using your grid paper as a guide, arrange the floral corners into a sort of loose frame shape.
Select 2 of the Rectangle Stitched Dies (I would suggest using two that aren’t particularly close in size) and arrange them on top of the die cuts, creating a frame.
Take a long-ish piece of Washi Tape and stick it onto your arm or clothes to remove some of the stick. Then take small pieces off this long tape and stick the dies to the die cuts.
Run the floral corners and stitched dies through your die cutting machine.
Before removing the Washi Tape, remove the pieces of die cut outside of the frame and add Dimensionals to the frame pieces.
Adhere to your card front, and then remove your Washi Tape and dies.
The sentiment is take from a different stamp set; Stitched All Around (which is going forward into the new catalogue), stamped in Blackberry Bliss to coordinate with the Floral corners and card base.

Yesterday I shared the Make and Takes from this years Stampin’ Up! OnStage April event in Telford. OnStage is an exclusive Demonstrator event that is held twice each year, in April and November, and we get to see new goodies from upcoming catalogues and releases as well as stamping and getting to see our Stampin’ friends too. I LOVE going to Stampin’ Up! events, whether they are corportate organised (like OnStage) or team events, they are always lots of fun!
I thought I would share a bit of a round up of the day with you today, so you can see why these events are so great to attend, and maybe why you want to become a Demonstrator and be able to go to the next one in Dortmund, Germany! Actually, the next OnStage for us in Europe is a fabulous 3 day Live event, so its’ even bigger!
Swaps
There are several perks of attending OnStage; getting to see new products is just a very small part of the day.
OnStage days usually start pretty early, and once you’ve registered and received your goody bag (which contains a fun gift, new stamp set, pens, and Prize Patrol badge) there is time to find a seat and share create ideas with fellow demonstrators. While this time I didn’t swap any projects (just too much going on with finishing work and baby!) the team did spoil me with a fair number of beautiful swap projects!
Projects
As well as seeing the new catalogue, Demonstrators get to hear fun news from the Stampin’ Up! corporate team, as well as creative ideas from fellow demonstrators who have been lucky enough to get sent some of the new stamps to try!
I love this part of the day, getting to see what other people have made with new stuff is just so fun! I particularly loved THIS card from Julie Kettlewell, and THESE made by one of my Stampin’ Sisters Helzie Slimm.
New stamps!
Then there are the product boards… with some fabulous sneaky peaks of new goodies! I cannot wait to get my hands on that foil paper in the Noble Peacock Suite (my photograph has not done that justice at all!) and the updated prints on the Colour Families Designer Series Papers too!
In addition to all the news and Make and Takes, Demonstrators in attendance are also treated to fabulous Prize Patrols; brand new stamp sets given away throughout the day, as well as the pick of the Make and Takes box at the end! I came away with 3 brand new stamp sets, a pack of some brand new Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Blends and a couple of ink pads too!
I have to say though that these days are about more than just the products for me. It’s about getting some Me time and seeing my Stampin’ Friends! We always have a good giggle!
Come with me!

Oh dear, I probably should have shared these with you a couple of weeks ago, but I have only just around to it!
Back at the start of April I attended Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Telford. OnStage is an exclusive event hosted by Stampin’ Up! twice each year for demonstrators only. This time we got to see heaps of new goodies from the upcoming Annual catalogue! Very Exciting! Particularly as we got to play with some of the new stamps too!
Bird Ballard
This first card uses one of my favourite new suites! Bird Ballard is just so pretty, and features these cute birds as well as some hand-coloured Designer Series Papers! I have a fun class kit coming using this suite next month so do keep your eyes open for that one! It’s one NOT to be missed!
The Designer Series Paper background has been coloured by one of the talented artists at the Stampin’ Up! Home Office using Stampin’ Blends so it will always match your projects. The birds on the branch were stamped and then hand coloured by me using the same markers.
Perennial Essence
This second card uses another new suite of products called Perennial Essence, and features the most GORGEOUS Monet inspired Designer Series Paper.
I have to admit my stamping on this one is a little off, but there was just SO much going on that chatting to my Stampin’ Besties sort of came before the stamping! In fact, I have one Make and Take that I didn’t even get to open, and another that is stamped but not quite finished!
Paper Pumpkin
This 3rd Make and Take is super special! It’s actually part of a kit that you can get your hands on in May. The Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit is the first Paper Pumpkin that has been available world wide, and I am hoping that it means that we might get this fun monthly subscription in the UK very soon! But more about that next week….

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a theme, and seeing as I set the challenges for Inspire.Create, and my baby is due any day (as I write this…. who know’s if it might have arrived before this post goes live!), I was a bit cheeky and set us a Baby themed challenge this time!
This card actually features a bit of a sneaky peak… that fun background is a brand new background stamp called Birch, that I was lucky enough to receive as a Prize Patrol at Stampin’ Up! OnStage last month. Here it is stamped in Soft Suede stamped off once, and then layered with a sheet of Vellum to make it even softer.
The Welcome and that cute Giraffe are from Animal Outings, which is a current set that is carrying forward into the new catalogue. I am super happy that this one is staying, it’s just so handy for baby and young children’s cards. I shared another baby card using the sentiments from it a little while ago.
One of my other favourite products that are carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue is the super pretty Stitched Labels dies, and I’ve used them here to add some extra layers behind our Giraffe Friend.
I suppose this card is slightly more boy that girl, but I was aiming for a neutral… because we don’t know the gender of our baby. But you could switch out the blue for a yellow or pink to make it more feminine.
Hop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog to check out the other Design Team’s baby themed creations and add your own to the link up!
