Inspire.Create.Challenge #122 | Happier Than Happy

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah this week… You might have noticed that I’ve been a bit quiet recently. I’ve been studying for my Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification for my day job, and last week I finally handed it in. All finished! Such a relief! Of course, we’ve had other drama’s since then that have stopped me getting into my craft room, but I’m hoping that they will all be resolved this week and I can get back to regularly scheduled crafting.

Anyway, that’s enough of my waffle… this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is to make a project inspired by THIS fabulous card by the very lovely Denita Wright-Smee. Usually, I take these inspiration challenges and use them a bit like a sketch, but this time I thought I would use the same suite and use that as my jumping off point.

Happier than Happy Cute childrens birthday card using Happy Forest Friends from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This is the Happy Forest Friends suite, and Happier than Happy Stamp Set, from this years Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I know that it is designed for children’s cards, but I just think this whole suite is too cute not to share!

The background is a piece of the Designer Series Paper, and I’ve added some stamped and die cut toadstools, the fabulous big brown bear and a bow of linen thread. Simple, and quick, but oh so cute!

You Are Amazing | Pride Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today, for a really fun blog hop celebrating all things pride! When I first signed up to do this hop, my first thought was rainbows… but then Rainbows of Happiness retired at the end of May… and so I had a bit of a re-think.

I stuck with the rainbow idea though! I probably need to move the Ray of Light stamp away from my desk, feels like I’m using it on every project at the moment, but it was just too perfect not to use it for this one. I added the rainbow colours to the stamp on at a time using a Blending Brush, and stamped it using my Stamparatus. It has got a bit muddy… but I think it still works. What do you think?

I kept my Stamparatus out to stamp the sentiment from Amazing Phrasing, to make sure it was super black, and finished the card with a trio of black Classic Matte Dots!

You can find the supply list for this card HERE.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #121 | WooHoo Amazing Phrasing!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah, for an inspire.create.challenge this morning. I absolutely love the colour combination for this week’s challenge, totally inspired by the brand new Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! Now I could have used that paper for this challenge, but no, instead I reached for a Sale-a-bration stamp set I haven’t inked yet; Amazing Phrasing!

Stampin' Up! colour combination

For all this colour combination is taken from a pretty Festive paper… it’s really great all year around, and so this week I have a birthday card… but without the Happy Birthday!

alternative birthday card idea using Amazing Phrasing from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I of course, couldn’t not pair Amazing Phrasing with Ray of Light (I am having such fun with this stamp!)… here I used sticky notes to mask off the top and bottom of the card stock panel and then stamped it using my Stamparatus and Pale Papaya ink.

The WooHoo is stamped in Poppy Parade and then fussy cut, but because its a simply enough shape it was really quick to do. The other parts of the sentiment were stamped in Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, and then I used a trio of the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems to finish.

Amazing Phrasing is currently available for Free with a spend of £90 during July and August, and you can find the supply list for this card HERE.

Don’t forget to hop over to the Inspire.Create blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to with this colour combo.

Christmas in July | Is it Christmas Yeti?

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today, for a fun festive blog hop! I am loving taking part in loads of blog events again this month, I’d got a little out of the habit of blogging, but its coming back to me!

This month, Stampin’ Up! launched the July-December Mini Catalogue, and while it has some festive goodies in it, it’s not exclusively winter-y like previous years. Saying that, I do have a Christmas card for you today…. I mean, it is Christmas in July after all! Actually, you might have caught sight of this card already over on my YouTube… as I shared it as part of a catalogue launch event a few weeks ago, but it’s too cute not to get a spot on the blog!

Cute Yeti Christmas Card using Yeti to Party from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah for Christmas in July

Yeti To Party is such a cute stamp set, and great for a fun Christmas card this year. I’ve paired it here with the Whimiscal Woodland 3D Embossing folder, and some Sale-a-bration papers.

Check the video to see how it came together…

Thanks so much for stopping by today, do keep hopping on the blog hop for more Christmas inspiration!

Technique Tuesday | Watercolour with Nature’s Prints

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today for a fun Blog Hop; a watercolour themed Technique Tuesday, perfect for Watercolour Month! Stampin’ Up! are celebrating all things watercolour this month and there are a heap of videos and project inspiration over on their socials…. time for us to join in and share some watercolour projects too!

Watercolour wash with Nature's Prints from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

I have been dying to try a watercolour wash with this stamp set since it arrived in my craft room, but for some reason I only managed to actually do it yesterday! This is the Nature’s Prints stamp set (and a piece of the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper), which I just love. The big leaf stamp is heat embossed in White onto a piece of Fluid100 Watercolour Paper, and then a wash of Night of Navy over the top. This is pretty strong watercolour, not a lot of water and a couple of drops of Night of Navy straight from a re-inker.

How to make a watercolour thank you card using Sun Prints from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The sentiment is heat embossed in white, from the same stamp set, and this card is finished with a trio of the Classic Matte Dots.

2022 July – December Mini Catalogue Blog Hop | Splendid Day

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah! I am SO excited to start sharing some of the goodies from the July-December mini catalogue with you all… and what a better way to kick of the catalogue that with a blog hop! I have a heap of blog events coming this month, giving you LOTS of inspiration, so do keep watching for more….

Today thought, I wanted to share something that’s not particularly festive… I know that we all think of Christmas when it comes to the “Autumn-Winter” catalogue, but now that it starts in middle of summer, Stampin’ Up! have changed things a bit and we have a beautiful suite that really lends itself to weddings!

If you’ve seen my Instagram recently, you’ll know I’m a bit obsessed with this background stamp! It’s called Ray of Light and its actually in the Annual catalogue, but it works so well with so many different stamp sets, that I couldn’t help but pair it with Splendid Day for a fun Celebration card.

This card is monotone… a look I really LOVE… in Basic White and Soft Sea Foam. So pretty!

International Blog Highlight | Thanks Biggest Wish

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today for Kylie’s International Blog Highlight. I would LOVE it if you would pop over to Kylie’s blog and vote for this card to take part in the July Blog Hop !

I have been having heaps of fun recently with the Rays of Light background stamp. This is certainly one of the gems in this years Annual Catalogue, an perfect for making a simple card very special. Here I inked it in Pale Papaya and then used a Blending Brush to add some Calypso Coral to the outside edges to create a sort of ombre effect.

Simple Stamping Thank you card using Biggest Wish from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The ‘Thanks’ is stamped from Biggest Wish (one of my favourite sentiment sets of the moment!), and is in Pacific Point. I don’t use this colour often, but I think it really works with these orange tones on the rest of this card. The stamps in Biggest Wish are super easy to fussy cut, and I think it just adds an extra something to this #simplestamping card!

I finished this one with a trio of the new Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed Gems in Calypso Coral.

You can find the Supply List for this card HERE, and don’t forget to pop over to Kylie’s Blog to vote!

Inspire.Create.Challenge #120 | Home Decor with Storybook Gnomes!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah this week! I am super excited for July, I have LOTS planned… but first I thought it only right that we kick of the month of July with a bit of Christmas in July, and a festive Home Decor project!

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is designed to push your papercraft boundries a little, and the theme is Home Decor! I would LOVE to see your Decor makes, just add them to the end of the Inspire.Create blog post and inspire me to make something else for my home.

Storybook Gnomes Home Decor frame IKEA papercraft using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

This project uses the Storybook Gnomes from the new July-December Mini Catalogue, and while it is festive, I think I could get away with this sitting out in my living room for most of winter. The toadstool is die cut from the Designer Series Paper, but the gnome is stamped and coloured using Watercolour Pencils. (side note: did you know, July is Watercolour Month… I’ll be sharing more about that soon!)

Inspire.Create.Challenge #119 | Botanical Layers and In Colours

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah this weekend. This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a colour combination… featuring the new 2022-2024 In Colours.

I LOVE these 5 colours, they are so bright and fun, and they work really well together too. Here I’ve used all 5 colours, and paired them with the fabulous Botanical Layers Bundle which is a Stamp and Vellum combination. I have a YouTube live planned with this one, because I think it’s so unusual, but really lovely to work with.

Thinking of You using Botanical Layers from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This card has a Starry Sky card base, with a Basic White layer which I have added all 5 of those In Colours to using a Blending Brush. Then a layer of the Lovely Layers Vellum from that Botanical Layers bundle, which I have added some extra stamping to using the Botanical Layers Stamp set and some embossing power.

The sentiment is from the stamp stamp set, and is layered with a piece of the In Colour Glimmer Paper.

Head over to the Inspire.Create blog to see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and to add your own In Colour makes too!
