I will be totally honest with you, this card has been sat on my desk for months! I just haven’t got round to blogging it… until today. I made it for a team challenge a while ago, we were challenged to use Night of Navy, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow all on one card, and this is what I came up with.
The card base is another colour from the Neutrals family; Gray Granite (my favourite grey colour!), and I added a piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I love this pack of paper for adding fabulous textures, and I have another card using it for you on Friday.
The trees and sentiment are from the Rooted in Nature stamp set (which I hadn’t used for a while, but absolutely LOVE!).
To add some more texture, the piece of Mossy Meadow card stock was crumpled and flatten before being adhered to the card, and the stripe of Night of Navy card stock has torn edges .

Oh my goodness, I am rather pleased with this card… particularly because I whipped it up at the last minute on Monday night! You’d think I’d be a bit more organised seeing as I set the challenges, but no, at the moment I’m a last minute Annie. But, last minute is better than not at all isn’t it? I pulled the three colours of today’s colour challenge off my shelf, and the Rooted in Nature stamp set popped into my head, and very quickly this card appeared in my mind’s eye.
This week’s colour challenge is Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive, and each colour is on each one of those fabulous leaves.
I do enjoy a good ink-y technique, and this one is quick and very effective. Ombre Stamping is super easy, and all you need is your stamp, 3 ink pads and a couple of sponges. It does also help if you’ve got well ink-ed pads.
Starting with the lightest colour, load the sponge with ink and the use the sponge to add the ink to the stamp. Then work through the colours, adding each one to the stamp. Breath onto the stamp to reactive the ink before stamping. See, quick and simple, and it gives some very pretty results.
The leaves were then die cut using the coordinating Nature’s Roots dies, and popped up on the card using a few Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and I did use my Stamparatus to make sure I got it straight and solid (I actually stamped it twice, which is why I’ve ended up with a bit of an inky smudge!)
Then, the card is finished with a double bow of Linen Thread and a trio of Noble Peacock Rhinestones.
Do check out the other Design Team creations over on the Inspire.Create blog and add your own makes using this week’s Colour Combination too!

Hey folks! I can’t believe that it’s that time already, time to release a brand new Code Club Code and Class. This month I thought we would have a play with Rooted in Nature, a stamp set that has carried forward from the previous Annual catalogue. It makes lovely Masculine cards like the one I’ve made here, but also has some lovely sentiments for Thinking of You or Sympathy cards too.
This card was inspired by the cards I made for my husband and our dad’s for Fathers Day this year. It’s a simple stamped design, which I think is key for a good masculine card, along with a strong image. Here this tree also has a coordinating die in the matching Nature’s Roots dies
So, what is Code Club?
It’s super simple, each month I release a new Code Club Code which you need to enter when you check out of your Online order. If you’re order is between £25 and £44.99 you’ll receive a PDF download card making tutorial for 4 cards. If your order is over £45 then you’ll also receive a card kit to make the cards (without the stamps or ink). But, If your order is over £150 please don’t add the code, you’ll earn Stampin’ Rewards to spend yourself and I’ll automatically include you in Code Club!
This month class features Rooted in Nature and we’ll be making 4 all occasion cards using just the stamp set (although the dies are a fabulous addition!)
You can find all the details about Code Club on my dedicated page.
Code Club closes on the 28th of each month and I then release a new code and a brand new class to!

I have been in a bit of a creative slump again recently, probably because I’ve spent the first 2 weeks of my Maternity Leave endlessly scrolling through Instagram (not helpful!). However, during my scrolling I have come across a bunch of inspiring cards, and this card was inspired by one of those. I wish I could remember who made the original, but for some reason I didn’t save it.
Rooted in Nature Encouragement Card
I haven’t had Rooted in Nature off the shelf in a while, and its a shame because it is just lovely! The stamp set is currently available bundled with the coordinating dies to save you 10%, but this will end on 3rd June, so I would be reaching for it sooner rather than later to get that discount!
One of the things I have noticed with my scrolling is that I am totally drawn to cards with lots of layers, and this card is no exception! With the embossed background and then layers of stamped, embossed and die cut pieces.
The sentiments in the Rooted in Nature stamp set are lovely, and so I’ve selected this one for our Blog Highlight Encouragement theme! I might just have to pop this card into my hospital bag for the lovely midwives… along with a big box of biscuits!
If you love this card as much as I do I would LOVE it if you would vote for me over on Kylie’s blog, and I hope to see you again soon

This Man’s Birthday Card has been sat in my pile of cards to blog about for about 2 months. In fact this card was received by the birthday boy before Christmas, and I’ve only just got around to sharing it with you.
I like to keep men’s cards simple, and I love using the Rooted in Nature stamp set for that too. Here I stamped that fabulous wood piece in Gray Granite before layering over the ribbons and sentiment.
Speaking of the sentiment, this one is from the new Itty Bitty Birthday’s stamp set, and its perfect for a simple Happy Birthday! Here I’ve heat embossed it in white onto a scrap of Basic Black card stock
This card was then finished with a couple of lengths of ribbon; Burlap and Grosgrain in Call Me Clover, and one of the lovely True Gentlemen Buttons.

StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenges 032 Anything goes with Rooted in Nature
As you may know, I set the challenges for Inspire.Create, and this time I thought I would be really mean and set a completely blank challenge! I cannot WAIT to see what you guys make for this one too… don’t forget to check out the Inspire.Create blog to see the fabulous Design Team’s work and enter your own creations.
I had a fun day a few weekends ago (before my craft room was packed up ready for the Big Move!) making a bunch of birthday cards, and this just sort of happened! Stampin’ Up! have started a demonstrator campaign for Simple Stamping this month, and I am attempting to embrace this (because I am rubbish at it!). So, this card uses minimal products, and so is super easy for you to replicate!
In actual fact it uses 2 stamp sets; but only because the Rooted in Nature stamp set doesn’t have a birthday sentiment. So I grabbed one of the Hostess Exclusive stamp sets, Hand Delivered, for the sentiment. But other than that its one ink, 2 colours of card stock and 1 ribbon.
This card would work for a girl birthday or a boy one! Although I suppose that I’ve girl-ed this one up by adding a heap of Shimmer Paint on those leaves and a pretty Frosted Epoxy Droplets

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Quick and Simple with Rooted in Nature
I love a quick and simple card, one that you can whip up in a snap, one that looks good no matter what stamp set you use (as long as it a Stampin’ Up! set, obviously!), and one that you can use for a multitude of different occasions. I think that this card fits that bill.
I have been having loads of fun using the Nature’s Poem Suite this month, while it’s my fabulous Suite Share! You can still get your share HERE! My suite shares change every month and feature a fun mix of Designer Series Paper, Card stocks, ribbons and embellishments, and while the stamps and dies aren’t included as standard you can, of course, add them as an extra.
This card had a lovely colour combination; Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite and Mossy Meadow, with a Whisper White base. Colours are super important when your making simple cards like this one, sticking to a handful of colours is an easy way of keeping things simple, coordinated and fresh.

We make cards for all occasions, including those sad ones… I didn’t actually set out to make a Sympathy Card today, but this sentiment just lends itself to a sadder occasion. The card is still pretty though…
I made this card on Saturday afternoon after having the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set out during my Prep for Sunday’s Facebook Live. I have used this stamp set a lot, but I don’t think I’ve ever inked this 3 cute little trees! Two of the trees are on one stamp, while the other is separate. They are all stamped in Sahara Sand ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and then stamped again onto the Whisper White layer.
The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow and then hand cut, and popped up on a Foam Adhesive strip, with a trio of Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins added to finish.

StampinByHannah Make It Monday 3 card ideas with Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!
I had a heap of fun yesterday on Facebook Live…. usually I share these videos on my blog immediately after, but with everything going on at the moment (crazy busy in the day job, re-marketing the flat, the heat, and a lack of sleep while James has been on nights). So, I decided to combine this weeks Facebook Live and Make It Monday. I hope you don’t mind?!
I do a Facebook Live usually every other week, but I missed last week, so there will be another one this coming Sunday. So, do pop over and Like my Facebook Page so you can join me Live on Sunday morning at 11AM
Card 1:
This first card uses the fabulous Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I love that you can make a whole heap of cards with this paper, and each one look different! That’s partly because they are fun painterly patterns, but also that you get 48 sheets of 6 x 6″ paper in the pack…. that’s a whole HEAP of cards! Because I wanted to keep the paper the focus here I’ve kept the rest of the card pretty simple, with a couple of die cuts from the Floral Frames bundle and a Stitched Circle, and a single stamped sentiment. However, you could really dress the card up with extra die cuts, embossing, and more layers!
Card 2:
The second card I shared yesterday was this one, using the Rooted in Nature stamp and die bundle. I can’t decide which version of this card is my favourite… this one or the one I made in the video? What do you think?
Card Measurements:
Card Base; Blackberry Bliss; 29.7 x 10.5 cm, Scored at 14.85 cm
Whisper White layer; 10 x 14.3 cm
Natures Poem Designer Series Paper: 9.5 x 9 cm and a second piece that measures 9.5 x 4.8 cm
Plus scraps of Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White
YouTube Replay…
Card 3:
The 3rd card uses my favourite Designer Series Paper of the moment; Petal Promenade, to make a fun spin on a classic Z fold card. This paper is just so pretty that I can’t help use big pieces of it! It does all the work, and leaves you with a simple task of adding a sentiment. Pretty card – Tick!
Card Measurements:
Card Base; Petal Pink: 21 x 14.85 cm, scored on the long edge at 10.5 and 3 cm
Designer Series Paper: 14.85 x 7.5 cm and 14.85 x 3 cm
Whisper White 14.85 x 7.5 cm, plus a scrap for stamping
Thank so much for stopping by StampinByHannah today… before you go, I just want to let you know that all of the July offers end TOMORROW NIGHT! That’s the Buy 3 Get 1 Free on Designer Series Paper AND the fabulous 10 FREE ink pads with your Starter Kit joining deal!
