Needlepoint Nook | Quick and Simple Just Because card

I can’t believe this is the last Needlepoint Nook card of the week! I absolutely LOVE this card, it’s quick and simple, and uses that white space I love so much!

Quick and simple Just Because card using Needlepoint Nook from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The background of this card has been stamped with one of the larger stamps from the Needle and Thread stamp set, actually it’s stamped twice as a backdrop for that cute sentiment.

Then the card is simply finished with a die cut, stamped flower in Berry Burst. You could really go to town on this one with adding jewels or pearls, or maybe some of those Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons, however I chose to keep things simple, but pretty!

Needlepoint Nook | Just Because with Stitched Rectangles!

Today is the 4th Needlepoint Nook card of the week… and I have another one for you tomorrow too! Did you see my pretty floral Birthday Card from yesterday? I think that might be one of my favourite cards of the week. Saying that this one uses the Stitched Rectangles… and I love those too!

Pretty Just Because handmade card using Needlepoint Nook and Stitched Rectangle dies using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

For this card I have pulled another one of my current favourite products; the Stitched Rectangles dies! This have found their way onto a mountain of projects recently, but its because they are just so versatile, and an absolute crafting must have!

Again I’ve also used the pretty label punch on this card because it coordinates so perfectly with this sentiment, and just makes for such a lovely layer with those die cut stamped flowers and leaves!

Needlepoint Nook | Pretty Embossed Happy Birthday Card

Can you tell I am totally in LOVE with the Needlepoint Nook Suite? I am so sad that it is due to retire at the end of May. The Needle and Thread stamp set is super versatile and has a sentiment for just about every occasion! So far this week I’ve shared a Thank You card, and a Get Well Soon card, both using this fun stamp set.

Today I thought I would share this pretty Birthday Card…

Fun Floral sewing themed Happy Birthday Card Needlepoint Nook from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This photo doesn’t really do this card justice, as the white layer is popped up off of that pretty Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, and is also embossed using one of the coordinating Needle and Thread Dies.

The colours in this card are so pretty too; Old Olive, Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride and Night of Navy. I think I need to make another card using this colour combo because it is just so lovely!

Handmade Get Well Soon card using Needlepoint Nook from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

Today’s card is a really pretty, and simple, Get Well Soon card. These are one of those cards that you never have when you need one… except this suite would be a great way of making a stack of Get Well Soon cards ready to go for some stress free wish sending!

Needlepoint Nook also coordinates with the Pretty Label punch, and this sentiment fits in their just perfectly! Here I’ve layered it against an embossed panel using one of the dies from the coordinating die set too.

Needlepoint Nook | Floral Thank You Card

I have a whole week of fun Needlepoint Nook cards to share with you this week! I am so sad to see this stamp set and coordinating dies to retire at the end of May, as I have had SO much fun making heaps of cards with this bundle.

Handmade Thank You Card using Needlepoint Nook from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

The fun Designer Series Paper really compliments those pretty stamped flowers here doesn’t it? Needle and Thread is one of the Stampin’ Up! line of DistINKtive stamps, this means that the stamps leave a realistic impression, but it can be a little tricky…

Top Tips:

  • These stamps are easily over inked; I tend to use a drier ink pad or only tap the stamp to the pad very lightly
  • You use could a brayer or sponge to add the ink to the stamp
  • Practice; use that grid paper to practice stamp before going onto your good card stock!

Inspire.Create.Challenge 038 | Needle and Thread!

This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun sketch. I really love designing these, and like to keep things really simple so that you can let your imagination go wild on creating something really special.

Inspire.Create.Challenge Card Making Sketch Challenge

One of the things I really like to do with a sketch is take all the elements and move them around! I know, it’s a bit naughty, but really a treat a sketch like a sort of jumping off point, rather than sticking to the design religiously. So this week, I turned the sketch around and make a landscape card, rather than the portrait one in the sketch!

Needlepoint Nook Card using Rectangle Stitched Framelits from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah

This card is really quite subtle, and has lots of white space… two of my favourite card making styles!

The Rectangle Stitched Framelits have become a permanent feature on my craft desk, and so they found their way onto this card too to die cut a pretty piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper.

The main focus of this card is that Stitched Circle, with the sentiment from Needle and Thread and some second generation stamping in Mint Macaron.

And that really is all that there is to this card. Clean and Simple!

If you love this card as much as I do, my March Card Class also uses the Needlepoint Nook suite. This month is the last time that my classes will be available both In Person and Online for a couple of months while I take some time out of In Person events to have a baby… so if you’re local, I would LOVE to see you!

Needlepoint Nook Double Fronted Card | Facebook Live

This week’s Facebook Live is a bit of a waffle-y one… I’ll warn you from the get go! But I’m super happy with the card, so I hope that you enjoy!

I’ve got a few things going on at the moment; 2 fabulous card classes in March and my Stash Builder Club too… so before we jump to the video I thought I would give you a quick over-view

  1. March Card Class using Needlepoint Nook launches tomorrow! So check back to the blog for that!
  2. My March Facebook Live Online Card Class launched earlier in the week. I am super excited about this one, I have 5 fun cards already made using the Painted Seasons Bundle from the Sale-a-bration 2nd Release that I cannot wait to share with you. There are 2 options for this class; either Class only, or class and cardstock pack. Check out THIS blog post for all the information!
  3. Stash Builder Club… I LOVE this club. I did it a couple of years ago, and was reminded about it yesterday! Needlepoint Nook Double Fronted Card using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

This fun fold, Double Fronted Card is super easy to make and is a lovely way to Jazz up a special card.

Measurements:

Highland Heather Card Base: 21 x 14.85 cm, scored at 10.5 cm. This is a standard sized card using A4 card stock, then cut 5 cm off one side

Very Vanilla: 20.5 x 14.3 cm, scored at 10.25 cm (or just folded in half!)
