Inspire.Create.Challenge #132 | Forever Fern

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenge. This week Jo has set a colour challenge using Early Espresso, Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry and Granny Apple Green.

This week is one of those times that I was super pleased I was a little bit organised; my delightful toddler shared an awful cold with me this week… but I made this card last weekend and so managed to hit the deadline!

This card uses Forever Fern. I love this stamp set for a simple stamp layered card like this. I’ve added a base layer here, but this would look just as good stamped straight onto a Basic White Card Base.

Before stamping the leaves, I stamped the ‘Hello’ and then masked it with a bit of ripped Sticky note. Then each stamp is simply layered over the top

InspireINK | Something Old Something New…

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Hello! Time for another trip around the InspireINK blog hop. This month the theme has been set by the very lovely Heidi from FlutterbyHeidi. She’s been very clever and chosen ‘Something Old, Something New’. I’ve chosen a new die set, and an older stamp set for my project.

Amazing Thanks with Forever Fern for InspireINK using Stampin' Up! products with StampinByHannah

I am bit of a sucker for this colour combination; Shaded Spruce, Garden Green, Old Olive and Blushing Bride, along with Basic White, a touch of Vellum and a hint of Gold.

The leaves in the background are from Forever Fern. A firm favourite stamp set in my stamp room! I love that I can layer just about as many leaves as I can, and it still looks great! Where the sentiment is a brand new die set; Amazing Thanks. Die cut in Basic White and Blushing Bride. I always use Adhesive Sheets with this type of die, it just makes these so easy to stick down.

Natural Thanks handmade card using Amazing Thanks from Stampin' Up! with StampinByHannah for InspireINK

This card was almost finished, but something just didn’t look quite right. So, I added a rectangle of Vellum and a trio of Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Happy Birthday with Forever Fern from Stampin’ Up!

I don’t know about you, but I definitely make more Birthday cards that any other kind, and so I love stamp sets that work well for this occasion. Forever Fern ticks that box for me, with some handy (non-birthday) sentiments, and a collection of pretty leaf-y images it is one of those Stamp Sets that has multiple uses.

Last week I needed a card for a neighbours birthday, and I wanted something classic, but fun, and so I pulled out Forever Fern and a collection of bright coloured inks and had a play!

Using Coastal Cabana, Magenta Madness, Pretty Peacock, and Seaside Spray, I stamped a collection of leaves, which were then die cut with the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies. This card was really simple to put together, but because of the embossed panel and die cut layers it looks really complicated.

The sentiment is stamped using the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set, and the die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.

For a finishing touch I added one of the Gold Hoop Embellishments and a trio of Gilded Gems

Inspire.Create.Challenge #077 | Alternative Colours with Forever Fern

So, today’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fabulous colour combination, and one that almost had me pulling Painted Poppies off my stamp shelves. But then I spotted Forever Fern, and I just knew what I wanted to make.

I’ve made a heap of cards with Forever Fern now, but they’ve all been very green! But I’ve seen some lovely cards using different colours with it recently, and although this still has green in it, its less green than some of the other combinations I have used. I do have an idea in my head of using pinks… but I’ll save that for another day.

Each of the colours is stamped off before stamping onto the card, just so it’s not super bright, and the stamping isn’t perfect, but I really like the effect.

The Forever Fern stamp set does have its own coordinating dies, but instead of reaching for those today, I’ve used the Tasteful Labels instead. These two are layered together in the packet, and I really like the look, and it’s translated really well into card stock.

The backing label is in Poppy Parade, along with the stamping, with the aim of moving away from the green. I almost added some sparkles to this card, but I’ve kept it simple in the end.

Don’t forget to pop over to the Inspire.Create blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s creations before adding your own makes using Poppy Parade, Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow

Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper Swap Card

I took part in a virtual retreat this weekend. With the dreaded virus, the usual in person event had to be cancelled, but instead of missing a year, we chose to take it online instead! I made more projects than I have in months, and had great fun!

One of the best parts of in person Stampin’ Up! events is project swaps, and so we did the same… just sent them in the post instead!

Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper swap card using Stampin' Up! Forever Fern with StampinByHannah

I chose to take part in the Designer Series Paper swap this time, and so had to make cards with paper as the main focus.

This card was really simple to put together, but looks really complicated. I cut the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to 14.8 x 13.5 cm, so it was the same height as my card base, but a little wider. Then scored the paper on the right hand side at 3cm, and folded it back and put a spot of adhesive where I was going to add my sentiment label.

The card is finished with a die cut leaf from the Forever Flourishing dies, a label from the Painted Labels dies, and sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set.
