Hello! Oh my goodness. It’s been 2 weeks since I got any blogging or crafting time, thanks to everyone in my house developing Covid-19 and work going from crazy to just outright ridiculous! Anyway, I am here this week with a blog post from Inspire.Create and hopefully an email to!
This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a sketch, and I really enjoyed creating with this one. The Stampin’ Up! July-December catalogue features some really lovely Designer Series Paper, and I reached for the Whimsy and Wonder suite for this piece of Mossy Meadow spotty paper. As usual this is double sided patterned paper, however, this paper has an iridescent foiling on the other side and a fabulous stripe that I also wanted to share a hint of!
There is another piece of Designer Series Paper on this card. Can you spot it? Yes, those cute little stars are die cut from the Be Dazzling Designer Series Paper which is FREE during Sale-a-bration! This paper is stunning! I shared a video of it on my Instagram last week, did you see?
The cute stamped tree and sentiment are from the Whimsical Tree stamp set, and are stamped in Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen.
StampinByHannah Christmas Countdown #3 Self Closing Table Favours with Dashing Deer from Stampin’ Up!
This years Christmas Countdown isn’t going slightly as smoothly as I had planned… but I am carrying on, and hoping that I’ll get another one to you next week!
How cute are these? Our Christmas will be a little dis-jointed this year as James works nights over the festive period, however, I still have plans for our own Christmas day (a few days after the big day) with a festive table and lots of James’ cooking! These will be taking pride of place on the table with a couple of after dinner chocolates in each one
Designer Series Paper; Frosted Florals; 4-1/2 x 6″ (12 x 15 cm)
Score on the short side at 2 and 4″ (5 and 10 cm)
Score on the long side at 2″ (5 cm)
Turn the Designer Series Paper so that the short side is at the top, with the 1″ score line horizontal at the top, and the skinny score line on the left, then score at 1-1/2 and 3-1/2 (4.5 and 9.5 cm)
I hope you have enjoyed Dashing Deer Week! Do go back and check out the other projects from this week;
StampinByHannah Simple Classic Christmas Card using Dashing Deer
Today’s Dashing Deer card is another simple, classic card layout…. with a heap of added shimmer! Yes, I’ve been playing with those Stampin’ Up! Shimmer paints again. This time I’ve actually painted with them, and coloured the die cut deer with Frost White Shimmer Paint.
The rest of the card is a lovely mix of Gray Granite and Cherry Cobbler, with a piece of Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper to complete the look.
I love that the Deer is almost silver in colour. It was die cut from Gray Granite card stock, I’m sure that if I had used Cherry Cobbler this card would have looked very different
Do check back tomorrow for a fun 3D Dashing Deer idea!
StampinByHannah Inspire.Create.Challenge 029 Under the Mistletoe sketch challenge
This week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge is a fun sketch… I hope to see lots of you take part and add your creations to the Inspire.Create.Challenge Blog. You don’t need to blog to enter, you could upload your image to a gallery, Pinterest, or even Facebook (as long as the image is set to public of course).
I decided to keep things simple this week, and just let the Designer Series Paper do all the talking. This fun print is from the Under the Mistletoe Paper pack, which you might have missed if your looking in the Autumn Winter catalogue because its in the Christmas section of the Annual one instead.
The sentiment is in the Autumn Winter catalogue, its taken from Timeless Tidings, which I am getting heaps of use out of, although it is designed to go with the Timeless Tidings kit (which I still haven’t got round to making up yet!).
So, short and sweet today, do go and check out the other creations from the Design Team over at the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog… they have made some stunning projects this week.

StampinByHannah Team Retreat Mini Origami Chocolate Boxes
Yesterday I shared the mountain of swaps I received from the lovely ladies in that photo at our recent Team Retreat in Manchester. Today, I thought I would share the swap I gave them!
I am a big believer in keeping things simple…. especially when you have to make 50 of something. So, I resized a fun box I shared a few weeks ago to fit a popular hazelnut filled chocolate
These cute little boxes are so quick and easy to make. In fact, I recently had to attend a train the trainer day as part of my day job where we had to teach each other a skill…. and I taught these! The other ladies where mesmerised as a flat sheet of paper became a fun and useful box!
These boxes use the fun Tea Room Speciality Designer Series Paper, as it’s a lighter weight that the standard Stampin’ Up! Paper it’s easier to create the fun origami folds of this box.
Want to join me for the next Team Event? You Can! I am always looking for new team members, you can find all the information about becoming a part of Stampin’ Up! on my Join My Team Page or if you have questions, check out my Joining FAQ!
Wow! I have just written the Challenge blog post before I’ve written this one… and I got SO excited! I cannot believe that it’s now been a year since I started this fabulous challenge. So, before I get into the main blog post, I just want to reach out and give you all big squishy hugs of Thanks for sticking with us, taking part, leaving comments and more! We have NO plans to stop…. in fact, I’ve just set the team all the challenges up until Christmas!
In order to Celebrate I thought I would use my favourite Designer Series Paper from the new Autumn Winter Catalogue. I am in LOVE with this Frosted Florals Designer Series Paper, 1. its floral and watercolour… and 2. its SHIMMERY! It’s so pretty… saying that I have covered most of it with a piece of Vellum, but you can still see the paper, so I think that’s ok!
There actually isn’t any stamping on this card, rather the sentiment is die cut using the Celebrate You thinlits. I haven’t pulled these out for ages, which is a shame really because they are lovely!
This card is finished with a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots.
StampinByHannah Dad’s Birthday Card using Best Route from Stampin’ Up!
Oh yes, today is my Dad’s birthday…. and because I gave him his card last night, I thought I would be really timely and share his card with you today. Men’s cards are always a little tricky, but I think we have the perfect Designer Series Paper Assistance this year; Best Route!
I recently used the same paper on a card for my Brother-in-Law, isn’t it fun that we can create multiple difficult cards with the same products and they look totally different?! I love the colour combination in this paper; Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody and Gray Granite…. and I’ve used the same colours in the card stock and stamping.
The sentiment is taken from Picture Perfect Birthday; I LOVE this set, it’s perfect for simple birthday cards, and therefore great for guys too!
As usual with family cards I HAD to pimp the inside with some more layers of Designer Series Paper and a hint of stamping too
StampinByHannah Make It Monday | Dashing Along Designer Series Paper…
So, today is Make It Monday, and I do have a video….. but I don’t actually have a card to make! I do have 3 cards to share with you though.
September sees a fun offer; Dashing Along Designer Series Paperis available for FREE when you place an order of £200. It is added automatically to your basket when you shop online. OR, you could also bag a pack of this stunning paper if you host a party which orders over the same amount.
This pack of Designer Series Paper contains 12 sheets, 4 of each of 3 double sided designs. It is designed to coordinate with the Dashing Deer Stamp and Die Bundle…. but of course, I didn’t grab that one in my Autumn Winter order did I?! Silly me! So, instead, I thought I would share how easily this Designer Series Paper coordinates with some of the other Stamp Sets in the catalogue.
The red card uses the fun Timeless Tidings stamp set that matches the Timeless Tidings Card Kit (still need to have a go at putting those together!), while the card with the strips of Designer Series Paper uses the Feathers and Frost stamp set.
This 3rd card, I think is my favourite, pairs the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper with the Merry Christmas To All Stamp and Die Bundle and a piece of that stunning Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.
