Hey folks! One last Christmas card from me today (well, until September when the new Christmas Catalogue launches anyway!), and I’ve been playing with Dashing Deer again!
This card is all about the layers, with an embossed panel, Stitched nested Labels and that super sparkly Dashing Deer!
The deer was die cut from Crumb Cake card stock, and then painted with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to create this fun sparkly Dashing Deer. This paint dries super quickly; it was dry by the time I’d adhered the rest of the layers together!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this week of Christmas cards in the middle of July! and maybe inspired you to make a start on this years cards early

Hey folks! I cannot believe that it’s July already, this year is going so fast that I can already see Christmas around the corner, so I thought I would dedicate (most of) a week to Christmas! I mean, it’s never to early to start on this years home made Christmas cards right?
The Christmas stamp sets are kind of hidden in this years Annual catalogue, but you can find them on pages 68-71. Which doesn’t seem like very much, but these 5 stamp sets pack a punch! That, and the Christmas catalogue is just around the corner. It launches in August for Demonstrators, and September for customers. So, if you want a sneaky peak, please do consider joining Stampin’ Up! with me, particularly this month when we’ve got the fabulous Extra Extra promotion going on too!
The Dashing Deer stamp set has been in the catalogue for a little bit now, and I still love it. I mean, what is not to love about that deer stamp… and the fact that it has a coordinating die too!
I’ve tried to use some non-festive items on this weeks cards, so this card also uses the Country Floral 3D embossing folder too. It adds an awesome dimension to that circle piece without being too in your face.
This card has a bit of a twist on the traditional red and green Christmas. I’ve used Shaded Spruce, which I always think is very festive, but paired it with Lovely Lipstick, which is more of a pink that a red really. I think it works really rather well!
This card is finished with the sentiment heat embossed in silver. Keeping things fairly simply for the first day of Christmas in July! Check back tomorrow for another festive card creation!

This fortnights Inspire.Create.Challenge is a pretty colour combination inspired by the oh so popular Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper from this years Stampin’ Up! Autumn Winter Catalogue. Now, be warned that this paper is While Stocks Last because it has been SO popular. So run, don’t walk to the Online store to grab yours today!
Saying that, I haven’t used the Joyous Noel suite at all for today’s card, instead I have opted for the fabulously fun Dashing Deer instead. This pretty deer stamp is winning for me at the moment, I just cannot get enough of it! Here it’s been stamped in Merry Merlot and die cut using the coordinating Detailed Deer thinlits.
The deer is layered over some copper heat embossed stamping and a piece of the copper trim, oh and some splatter in shaded spruce too! You could add even more to this card, with sequins, or rhinestones, or those stunning frosted Epoxy dots, however I chose to keep things simple and make a clean and simple (ish) card for this weeks Inspire. Create.Challenge.
Check out the other Design Team members colour creations over on the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog and enter your own projects too. Projects can be added from a vareity of places including your own blogs, public galleries, Pinterest, or even a public Facebook Post. We cannot wait to see them!

StampinByHannah Simple Classic Christmas Card using Dashing Deer
Today’s Dashing Deer card is another simple, classic card layout…. with a heap of added shimmer! Yes, I’ve been playing with those Stampin’ Up! Shimmer paints again. This time I’ve actually painted with them, and coloured the die cut deer with Frost White Shimmer Paint.
The rest of the card is a lovely mix of Gray Granite and Cherry Cobbler, with a piece of Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper to complete the look.
I love that the Deer is almost silver in colour. It was die cut from Gray Granite card stock, I’m sure that if I had used Cherry Cobbler this card would have looked very different
Do check back tomorrow for a fun 3D Dashing Deer idea!

StampinByHannah Modern Musical Christmas Card with Dashing Deer from Stampin’ Up!
Today’s card was a super quick one to put together… don’t you just love a simple, pretty card when your in a hurry? There are 2 stamp sets at work here; Dashing Deer (it is Dashing Deer week after all!) and the fun Sheet Music Background Stamp.
I’m loving some background details at the moment; this one involved making a mask by die cutting a large circle in a sheet of copier paper, and then stamping through the hole with the Sheet Music and Berry Burst Ink.
In the interests of keeping things simple; this card was then completed with a stamped and die cut dear, simple sentiment and a trio of Glitter Enamel Dots.
I hope you’re enjoying a week of Dashing Deer ideas. This weeks Stampin’ Inspiration email will have a fun exclusive video tutorial also featuring this fabulous bundle! Do subscribe to see it

StampinByHannah Make It Monday Pretty Sparkly Christmas Card with Dashing Deer
Oh yes, I am back with a whole week of fabulous projects using the gorgeous Dashing Deer bundle from Stampin’ Up! I am in love with these stamps, particularly that pretty deer stamp that I’ve used on this card today.
The Dashing Deer bundle contains the Dashing Deer stamp set and Detailed Deer Thinlits dies, AND if you use the special bundle item code (see the links at the bottom of this post) you can save 10% over buying them separately! Awesome!
Like I said, I have a whole week of Dashing Deer project ideas this week, including a fabulous video exclusively for my email subscribers too! You can subscribe to my Stampin’ Inspiration emails right HERE!
This card, for all it features the Dashing Deer bundle, really is all about that shimmery background! I grabbed a couple of pots of the new Stampin’ Up! Shimmer paints a few weeks ago, but only managed to get around to testing them out this past weekend. I have to say, I am totally in LOVE with them, and have another card that uses them later in the week.
Video Tutorial
The background is really easy to put together, for all it looks complicated. Once I had embossed the piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock using the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder, I used a sponge to gently add Shimmer Paint to the raised areas. I have to admit to being a little heavy handed with this…. but I like the sparkle, so Sorry, Not Sorry!
This card is completed with that pretty stamped deer, a Vellum scalloped circle and a Gold heat embossed sentiment also from Dashing Deer.
Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another Dashing Deer idea, and subscribe to my Stampin’ Inspiration emails for weekly card making inspiration, ideas and offers
