Inspire.Create.Challenge #139 | Sketch Challenge…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge. This week the lovely Jo has set us a sketch… and what a sketch it is! This one had me stumped for a little bit, but I really love the card I created. Hop over to the Inspire.Create blog to see the sketch and find out what the rest of the Design Team have been up to!

I pulled the colour combination out first; Sahara Sand, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis, and then created those diagonal lines but masking and then ink blending.

Both the hexagon die cut and the ‘Hello’ are stamped using Hand-Penned Petals for a little detail. I finished this one with some loops of Linen Thread, but you could definately take this idea further.

Global Design Project 386 | Quick card with Framed Florets from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another card inspired by a Global Design Project challenge. I am really enjoying taking part in a few challenges again at the moment… and am back on a bit of a roll with blogging and videos (just in case you hadn’t noticed!). This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch, and it had me thinking for a few days if I’m honest about how I was going to tackle one of the elements.

The background trio of stamps in Soft Succulent are from the Watercolour Shapes stamp set. I really love this set for an interesting background, its really handy! Here I’ve stamped 2 of the squares in Soft Succulent stamped off once for a slightly softer look.

While I’m taking about Soft Succulent, its worth noting that the 2021-2023 In Colours (Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia) are due to retire at the end of April. So if you love any of these, it’s worth grabbing the re-inkers and card stock sooner rather than later

The other stamp set at play here is Framed Florets for both the floral stamp and the sentiment. The scallop is from the Penned Flowers dies, how cute is that!

No card is complete with a touch of bling, and this one has a trio of the 2021-2021 In Colour Opal Rounds

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah… I am SUPER excited to release my first card class of 2023! This has been a little while coming, but I think it’s been super worth it!

I have been having so much fun with the Petal Park bundle recently, that it just made sense to share a class using it with you.

My classes are great fun, and totally virtual. All options come with PDF instructions and an exclusive video. However there are a couple of options here.

1) PDF and video instructions ONLY – £15
2) Card Kit, PDF and Video instructions – £25

Quick and Easy Fun Rainbow Card Idea…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah! Yesterday was Mother’s Day here in the UK and so I made 2 fun cards for my mum and mother-in-law (yes, they always get the same card!). I loved the card so much, and thought it would make a great birthday card idea… so here it is!

The rainbow background was super easy to put together, with simple 1.5cm strips of card stock, adhered to a piece of Basic White, and then die cut using the largest circle from Stylish Shapes. I would recommend using a wet glue (like Tombow) to attach these, you want to make sure the full back of the piece of covered.

‘MUM’ is die cut from the fabulous Alphabet a la Mode dies. I LOVE this die set SO much! I did add some Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock before I die cut the letters to make attaching them to the card easier.

There are a fair few products on this card, so I thought I would list them to make it a little easier;

  • Sentiment from Best Family Ever! (heat embossed in white onto Basic Black)
  • Floral stamp from Hand Penned Petals (stamped in Memento)
  • Background embossed using the dots embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders
  • Bling added using Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Petal Park Thank you card…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah this morning… for a card I was supposed to share as part of a blog hop yesterday! Honestly, I have no excuse, other than that I haven’t looked at my diary all week. I even made the card in plenty of time, and just completely forgot to write the blog post! Anyway, better late than never, and I’ve linked to the rest of the projects in the hop later in the post too.

This months InspireINK challenge was a fabulous colour combination of; Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue, Mango Melody and Night of Navy. Now, I know this feels like a LOT of colours, but there are actually on this card… can you spot them all?

I have been really enjoying using the Petal Park stamp set recently. Here I have paired it with Sentimental Park for the sentiment, and Hand-Drawn Dots for that dotty banner piece. This card is a CASE of a card in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue, and that banner was Designer Series Paper, but I don’t have the right piece, and so I changed it and made my own! The dots are stamped in Balmy Blue onto Basic White card stock, and then I using a Blending Brush to add more Balmy Blue over the top too!

Check out the girls who were actually organised and managed to make the actual blog hop below;

Fun card idea using Irresistible Blooms from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another fun card and a video tutorial… I know, twice in a week!

This card uses the Irresistible Blooms suite, which is a While Stocks Last set of products that form part of the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives collection. If you haven’t checked them out yet, I would highly recommend popping over to the Online Store for a look… these products are gorgeous!

This card uses Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Soft Seafoam, Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay… slightly inspired by the colours in the papers, but then I added some colours too!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge! This time we have a fun inspiration challenge, which I have taken as a sketch idea, and used the brand new Irresistible Blooms stamps and dies… and the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Papers which are beautiful!

The flowers are stamped in Petal Pink onto Basic White card stock, and then coloured using Blending Brushes and Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink ink.

Global Design Project #384 | Warm Welcome Birthday Card idea

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another Global Design Project Challenge entry. This week they have a fun Inspiration challenge, using this fab card by Kim Fee.

I’ve used 2 stamp sets on this card… the Warm Welcome stamp set for the birthday cake and the flowers, and Something Fancy for the sentiment. The Birthday cake is coloured using Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.

The background of this card uses one of the new embossing folders, called the Basic 3D Embossing Folders which are available as part of the current Online Exclusive! I’ve added a hint of Mint Macaron with a blending brush to add that circular element from Kim’s card.

The card is finished with die cuts from the Something Fancy dies, and a sprinkle of Iridescent Rhinestones

Inspire.Create.Challenge #137 | On the Farm

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge! Goodness me it feels like forever since I wrote a blog post… and I’m feeling a little rusty if I’m totally honest. February has been an absolute disaster of a month for me; I caught COVID for the first time at the start of the month, and it’s taken me a good few weeks to get my head back together.

This week Inspire.Create.Challenge is a theme challenge, and we are playing with ‘Spring Time’… and what is more Spring than field full of sheep (at least around here anyway!). So I reached for the On the Farm bundle from the January-April mini-catalogue

Because I haven’t crafted all that much this month, I did turn to Pinterest for a bit of inspiration for this card, and spotted a card with the animals stacked. I thought it was such a fun idea, and so took this as inspiration to create this card.

The background is a brand new Embossing Folder coming on the 1st March as part of a fun new promotion called Online Exclusives! I’ll be sharing more about it very soon.

Don’t forget to hop over to the Inspire.Create blog to check out the rest of the Design Team creations, and I hope to see you again soon
