How to make Cute Flower Card using Share a Milkshake from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah today for a super fun card idea! I saw something similar to this on Pinterest a few weeks ago, and just had to have a bit of a play. The Share a Milkshake stamp set is one of my favs from the January to April catalogue, but I haven’t had chance to use it for a few weeks, and so I wanted to do something a little bit different with it.

I’ve paired the Share a Milkshake die cut (can you spot it… I cannot believe that really its an ice cream cone!) with the Petal Park stamp and punch bundle.

The background of this card is super simple, but an effect I just LOVE and think it adds something to an otherwise fairly simple card design.

InspireINK Blog Hop | A Fancy Floral card using Petal Park from Stampin’ Up!

InspirInk Blog Hop Header Stampin' Up! team blog hop

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another InspireINK challenge! This month we were challenged to make a project with the theme ‘Fancy Floral’… and I have been enjoying the Petal Park bundle SO much that I just had to use it again.

This time I stamped the flowers in Memento and coloured them using Stampin’ Blends in Melon Mambo, Orchid Oasis, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight. I do love stamps that have a coordinating punch for super quick flowers.

The background is the Petal Park leaves stamped in Pool Party, and then I created a frame of Pool Party card stock using the retiring Stitched Rectangle dies (these are a must have and are going nowhere in my craft room!)

Check out the rest of the Fancy Floral ideas using the links below….

Creative Colour Challenges #84 | Pansy Patch

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for my second colour challenge of the week. Today I thought I would share this week’s Creative Colour Challenge combination; Balmy Blue, Orchid Oasis and Petal Pink.

I am currently diving into my stamp shelf and trying to use stamps I haven’t used in a while… and I actually cannot remember the last time I inked this one! I love that Pansy Patch is carrying forward into the new Annual Catalogue, its so pretty and really versatile too.

I love a two step stamp, and these flowers are 3 step, but super easy to line up (and it doesn’t really matter if they aren’t perfect because they still look lovely).

The background panel, a piece of Orchid Oasis Card stock, is embossed using one of the trio of embossing folders in the Online Exclusives.

Global Design Project 389 | Colour In the Moment…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah. This week I have 2 colour challenges to share with you; Global Design Project today and another tomorrow. This week’s Global Design Project colour combination initially scared me… its a trio I wouldn’t usually use together (it’s a bit bright for me if I’m honest), but I stood in front of my stamp shelf and the In The Moment set jumped out at me…

The image was stamped in Memento and then coloured using Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Tahitian Tide (plus a hint of Crumb Cake).

I had fun playing with ink to create this background. I did have something very bold in my mind initially, but ended up liking this better. The mask is from the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks pack, which is about to retire (and has a discount!).

Notecards and Envelope box with Petal Park from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah… yes, I have a video! I know, I am just as excited as you are! Actually, I’d be more excited if I had managed to remember to get this video edited and blog post written for Saturday when I had intended to! But, hey, we move.

So, this is a project I shared with the Team at a Crafty Weekend Retreat back in February. We had SUCH a great time. We are already planning for our next event which is at the end of September. We meet up at a hotel, and spend the weekend crafting, chatting, laughing, and eating (cake mostly!), next time we are meeting just outside of Birmingham, and you can join us! While I’m waffling, now is a great time to join… we are currently in side the Pre-Order period for the next Annual Catalogue and at the start of a quarter so you’d not have to worry about minimums until October! You can find out more information on my Join My Team page, or check out my Joining FAQ’s

Anyway, back to today’s project. The video shares the box, and you can find the notecards a little further down this post.

Measurements;

  • Thick Basic White; 2 pieces that measure 18.5 x 12.5 cm ( 7 ¼ x 5”) – Score at 2.5 cm (1″) on 3 sides
  • Thick Basic White; 18.6 x 7.6 cm (7-3/8 x 3”) – Score at 2.5 cm (1″) on all 4 sides

Inspire.Create.Challenge #140 | Love For You

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for this week’s Inspire.Create.Challenge. This time out we have a fabulous colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Polished Pink. Now, I have to admit that these 3 colours are all retiring at the end of this month, and that by the time this post is live, they might have already sold out! However, I couldn’t miss one more play with Bermuda Bay before it moves into my retired drawer.

I made this card for myself. It was mine and my husbands anniversary this week, we’ve been together for 12 years (I know… I don’t feel old enough!)… but James refuses to acknowledge the date as we are now married and that anniversary is in August… But I still like to celebrate, so I made myself a card!

I’ve paired the trio of colours with Crumb Cake, and the Love for You bundle for this special card. The background uses one of the Embossing Folders from the Online Essentials, and I added some Crumb Cake ink with a Blending Brush before I ran the card stock through my Cut’n’Emboss machine.

I will admit that this card took a little while to make, just because there is a LOT of die cutting here, and each of the flowers and leaves is stamped twice. I do love a bit of two-step stamping!

Creative Colour Challenge #CCC83 | Hello Love For You…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another challenge! I have been observing this challenge for months and months (over a year!) but I’ve never managed to get myself organised enough to join in… until now!

The Creative Colour Challenge is organised by the lovely Vickie, who just happens to be one of my Stampin’ Sisters, and she sets the most fabulous colour trio’s every single week. This week it’s Highland Heather, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen are retiring at the end of this month, so you need to move quickly if you love these colours (in fact, both the ink pad and card stock of Soft Succulent have already sold out!)

The background of this card uses Love For You, and the three colours both in full strength and stamped off once.

The ‘Hello’ is die cut 3 times from Alphabet a la Mode (twice in white and once in Soft Succulent) and then layered to give a dimensional effect.

Global Design Project #388 | Farewell Hues of Happiness…

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah this evening for a quick card using one of my favourite suites of the Stampin’ Up! 2022 catalogue; Hues of Happiness. I just had to get this one out one last time before it retires at the end of the month. As this post goes live, the Designer Series Paper, Stamps and dies are still in stock, but they are now while stocks last!

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is a CASE the Designer; hop over to their blog to check out the inspiration card.

Instead of using the Designer Series Paper in the background, I’ve ink blended Smokey Slate and Basic Grey. But, I have used the Designer Series Paper for the flower elements… don’t you just love it when the dies cut out the paper! So fun!

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop | Watercolour with Irresistible Blooms from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop! I know, I sort of dropped the ball on blog hops in February… but April I am back, and raring to go! Things have been a little busy, and I’ve had a massive change in my day job (as in I’m currently waiting to start a new one, going back to shifts. I am SO excited!). Anyway, so that’s sort of meant that I haven’t had much brain space for crafting or blogging… but I know that I’m about to have more time again, and that feels amazing!

So, this month’s technique is Watercolour! This might be my most favourite technique… I just love getting inky and messy (in a controlled sort of way!), and making something totally unique every time. I’ve used the Irresistible Blooms stamp set and dies from the Online Exclusives, these are sort of limited edition and so if you LOVE them, I’d move fairly quickly to make sure you’re not disappointed.

Each of the flower was stamped and heat embossed in White before being watercoloured using a Stampin’ Up! reinker and a bit of water to keep the colours really vibrant. I’ve used Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Gorgeous Grape.
