Global Design Project #391 | Rain or Shine with Rays of Light

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah! I am loving the sunny weather we have been having in the UK this week, its so nice to see some blue sky. This week’s Global Design Project theme is Rain or Shine, and so inspired by our sunshine, I picked the Shine idea.

Yellow isn’t a colour I use all that often, but here I’ve used TWO! The card base and flower are Crushed Curry, while the sunburst is in Daffodil Delight. I absolutely adore this background stamp; Rays of Light, and have used it on a project already this week, here I’ve paired it with the Love for you bundle to create this fun card.

Global Design Project 386 | Quick card with Framed Florets from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! Welcome to StampinByHannah for another card inspired by a Global Design Project challenge. I am really enjoying taking part in a few challenges again at the moment… and am back on a bit of a roll with blogging and videos (just in case you hadn’t noticed!). This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch, and it had me thinking for a few days if I’m honest about how I was going to tackle one of the elements.

The background trio of stamps in Soft Succulent are from the Watercolour Shapes stamp set. I really love this set for an interesting background, its really handy! Here I’ve stamped 2 of the squares in Soft Succulent stamped off once for a slightly softer look.

While I’m taking about Soft Succulent, its worth noting that the 2021-2023 In Colours (Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia) are due to retire at the end of April. So if you love any of these, it’s worth grabbing the re-inkers and card stock sooner rather than later

The other stamp set at play here is Framed Florets for both the floral stamp and the sentiment. The scallop is from the Penned Flowers dies, how cute is that!

No card is complete with a touch of bling, and this one has a trio of the 2021-2021 In Colour Opal Rounds
